Don't want to update firmware, but AEX keeps blinking
Hey all - unlike a good majority around here, the 7.5 firmware of my AEX has been rock-solid and I really don't want (or need) to update it to 7.5.1 for fear of it going haywire. My Macs, iPhones, iPad, even the PCs all have no issues with AEX.
But Airport Utility (5.5.1) keeps telling me the AEX has a problem, the orange light keeps blinking on the AEX - but the "problem" is only that a new firmware update is available.
Does anybody have an idea how I can tell the AEX to stop warning me about this? I don't mind, but when the message pops up on my wife and kids Macs, they get all worried thinking they've somehow screwed up (another) computer. Thanks.

launch +airport utility+, enter +manual setup+ for your AX, and click on status. you can choose to ignore the problem that's being reported (namely the firmware update).
after that, AU should leave you be.

Hello, how to disable the long horizontal Mozilla yellow strip, popping up and reminding us constantly to "update a plugin", which we don't want to update.
Disabling the ones below:
1/ plugins.update.notify User;true
2/ plugin.scan.plid.all;true
3/ dom.ipc.plugins.enabled;false
either does not help or disables completely Flash! What else to do with this ultra annoying "Update plugins" reminder, as we want to keep the older version 10 of Flash? We just do not want Flash v. 11 - it takes huge amount of CPU, while Version 10 works fine for all 'you tube" and "etc"... videos. No need for V.11. (Let us worry about viruses and security) But here it comes the so annoying Mozilla reminder to upgrade to Flash Version 11 - the yellow strip also takes screen space under the address bar. I have posted "submit" twice and keep getting requests to submit again. Now being asked to write a summary! Here we go. I have iPhoto 08 and am happy with it. Don't want to upgrade. But suddenly when I click on an event, instead of getting all the photos, I just get a large version of one photo and cannot move on to the others. The right arrow will not move it and the photo just jumps around.
Note the slider bottom right of the iPhoto Window. Drag it left.

I have a 4th gen. Itouch wiht IOS4 and i want to update it, but when i click the update button in ITunes it says "contacting IPod software server" and it looks like it is loading. However, after about 5 seconds it stops and says "ITunes could not connect to the IPod software server". I found the apple webpage that is supposed to help me, but when i went to the LAN settings in the control panel i found that 'Automatically detect settings" was already checked. I do not know what to do, Please help.
If yo mean the iPod will not connect to your wifi network:
Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Do other devices now connect?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

These are your options:
1. Restore the iPhoto library from the most recent backup that predates the issue.
Advantages: Always works, if library damage is causing the problem and the backup is intact.
Disadvantages: Impossible if you don't have a backup. All changes made since the backup are lost.
2. Repair or rebuild the library. Be sure to back it up first.
Advantages: May solve the problem with no loss of data.
Disadvantages: May fail. May take a long time if the library is large.
3. Scavenge the library with a third-party application called "iPhoto Library Manager," which you can find in a web search. From the application's menu bar (not the iPhoto menu bar), select Library ▹ Rebuild.
Advantages: All images should be preserved.
Disadvantages: All books, calendars, and slideshows will be lost. -

The minimum version required for Viber is 3.1, though it is always important to stay up to date. Why is it that you do not want to download the latest version?

What version of iTunes do you have installed? If you are trying to update to iOS 6 you need iTunes 10.7 or later.

The answer is 'YES'. You can install CS6 and CC on the same machine without causing abreak in fucntionality of any CS6 apps.

Then you will need the password for the old account in order to update the app.

I keep getting the prompt to update, I have an imac and a notebook.
