I downloaded the Adobe Help Center zip file for my Photoshop Elements 4.0, but I can't find the Adobe Help Center folder that the download instructions mentions for this zip file.
The download instructions said to copy the "unzipped" zip file to: Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Help Center/Adobe Help Data/Packages folder , but I can't find the Adobe Help Center folder or any of its subfolders that the instructions mention.
Am I supposed to CREATE this folder and the subfolders before copying the downloaded zip file there??

Your instructions seem a bit unreliable. Compressed files such as .zip, .rar, and .7z need to be unpacked.

Disable Organizer in PSE5

On January 22nd Donald Deaton asked how to do this. The Post is now archived so can't be replied to. But if anyone is interested, here is the way to do it:
1) In Windows go to Start, Run, type services.msc and click OK. Go to the 'standard' tab.
2) Select 'disable' for 'Adobe Active File Monitor' and 'Photoshop Elements
Device Connect'. You may now close the Services window.
3) Open Windows Explorer and locate where Elements has created default folders for its catalogs. This is normally C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe.
4) Delete the folders 'Catalogs' and 'Catalog Folders'.
This step disables the checkbox when saving files that catalogs files by default. Steps 5 & 6 are not usually necessary, but make the Organizer.exe inaccessible in case it tries to recreate the folders for the catalogs that were removed in step 4.
Stop here if you don't mind Organizer.exe staying in place - it won't be used
5) Go to the folder where Elements is installed. Normally C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 3.0.
6) Create a folder somewhere outside of the Adobe folder and move the file 'PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe' to the new folder. This allows you to have the option to move the .exe file back to where it was created in the case you decide to use Organizer somewhere in the future.
Organizer should now be completely disabled.
Note: This method originally appeared on another photography forum, and I acknowledge the writer.
It was mentioned that some (unspecified) Elements functionality might be lost by doing this, but I haven't found anything yet.

try resettings the preferences of both organizer and editor. There is nothing related to this is there in the preferences. You can try updating the camera raw plugin if that works with PSE 5.0

If I ask a question and nobody gives a good answer to it then it is unresolved. It will remain unresolved for all time. There is no way to mark it abandoned, or forget about it.

Donald, I have a question for you. First you ask "why should I answer a question?" and after beating that to death, you are back with "why should I ask a question?" So I am wondering...are you just trying to yank everyone's chain? Why can't you get it through your head that these discussions are here to provide a way for people to exchange information. If the biggest worry in your life is your "status" on the discussion forum, you should consider yourself very fortunate indeed. I for one am not going to lose any sleep over whether or not a question is "unresolved for all time".
PS There really is a way to forget about it...just forget about it!

IPhone 5s voice dial always asks to confirm

I am able to voice dial most everyone in my conacts database without problems - except my wife. I say 'Call Jane Smith, mobile" and the display correctly interprets my voice and displays 'Call Jane Smith". Then it asks "Do you mean Jane Smith?" Once I say yes, it dials properly. There are no other Jane Smith's or similar in my contacts, and this extra confirmation step does not happen with other numbers. Any idea what could be causing this, or how I might fix it? Thanks for any help!

Try syncing it back up and make sure the memos are included in the sync.

Additional Information
OS X automatically relaunches the Finder when it is quit. If the Finder is unresponsive, use Force Quit to relaunch it. Select Finder in the Force Quit Window or Dock, then click Relaunch.

When I login to my equipment it ask for a certificate. How do I delete these certificates?

We just recently upgraded our equipment and now I don't get the whole screen parts are missing. So I figured if I delete certificates or renew them it might work. So I need to know How to delete them or renew them.

Among other things iTunes uses your credit card to confirm that you are a resident of the same country as the store you are using. Occasionally it may ask for you to confirm the details and "prove" the card by putting on a holding charge which it later releases. If you have credit in the store that should be applied to any purchases first, even if iTunes asks you to confirm your details. Your listed credit in the window can become out of date if you use more than one computer or device to make purchases. Signing out of your account, then back in, should refresh the balance.

Excel Download of a Web SAP BW Report asks userid and password.please help

Dear BW folks,
Issue: When I run a specific SAP BW Report from Web and download the same into excel & csv.
When I open the excel file downloaded, it asks me user name and password to enter. csv file downloaded doesn't ask.
The report has 0cust_sales hierarchy and SBU hierarchy.
Is there any thing to do with these hierarchies that the excel download is asking user name and password?
Please help me out!!!!! This report needs to be downloaded into excel sent to my manager.....

There are no updates to either OS 10.5.8 or Safari 5.0.6.
If you need a later version of Safari you must first upgrade your operating system to a later version of OS X.

I keep getting the box that asks "Do you use the Yahoo! Toolbar on multiple Computers. It asks Save to my Yahoo! ID, or No thanks, just save to this computer. How do I get rid of this one way or the other?

When I log on to Firefox, I get this block that pops up saying, "Do you use the Yahoo! Toolbar on multiple computers? It has 2 buttons asking "Save to my Yahoo! ID or No thanks, just save to this computer" It drops down from the Yahoo toolbar, next to the Y! on the left side of the tool bar. I have tried the Save button and no response, I tried the No thanks button no response. I tried the underlined "Learn more" and it too no response. I tried the close X but that does not get rid of this box. I tried right clicking and no response. It stays there through out while working on the mail, I cannot access the that toolbar so I cannot use the buttons on this tool bar. Please help or I will have to try another browser to see if it go away.

How can I use family sharing, but allow my daughter to purchase with her iTunes allowance without asking permission?

I love the idea of iTunes family sharing, but I don't think it currently supports my situation.
My daughter's iTunes account gets a monthly allowance (plus occasional gift cards), and does not have a credit card tied to it. That way, she can buy whatever she wants, but only with her existing account balance.
I'd like to tie her account to mine via family sharing, but want to keep her spending limited to just her allowance balance. Also, I don't need to grant permission each time she wants to buy something when using her balance. Ideally, she would be permitted to buy exactly as she does now (no permission necessary, no credit card on the account, and only using allowance funds), but also be tied my family account to listen to music I've already bought.
It appears that my 3 options are:
Do not do family sharing and keep the accounts separate.
Tie the accounts together, put "ask to buy" on her account, and then get bugged for permission each time she wants to get something (as well as keep track myself of her going over her allowance and dipping into my credit card).
Tie the accounts together, don't use "ask to buy", and keep my fingers crossed that she doesn't spend more than her allowance amount (because iTunes would permit spending more than that and charge my card).
Options 2 and 3 don't work for me, and option 1 doesn't take advantage of family sharing.

Asking specific client certificate (not certificates trusted by authority)

As I understand from what I read so far, during the handshake negotiation for two way ssl, the server sends the client a list of trusted certificate authorities and say to the client: "hey, those are the authorities I trust. send me a certificate that can be verified by one of them".
I also read how you can customize SSLSocketFactory to, on the client side, look for a specific certificate alias (http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/library/j-customssl/). I would like to move this idea further and ask for specific certificates depending on what resources the user is trying to access.
For example:
Let's suppose I have two resources on my server called "bobPrivateStuff" and "alicePrivateStuff". I also have a certificate authority who can validate both Bob and Alice certificates on a custom trust keystore. In a regular scenario, the server will ask for a client certificate and will accept either Alice or Bob certificate, as both can be verified by the custom trust.
But what if Alice can't access "bobPrivateStuff"? What if when trying to open a connection, to say http://myserver.com/services/bobPrivateStuff, the server asks specifically for Bob's certificate? Can I setup the handshake in a way it will actually ask for Bob's certificate instead of only just "any certificated trusted by this CA"?
And what piece of information could be used to distinguish one certificate from another? Is the serial number unique between multiple certificates? Is this pushing the envelop too much and trying to use SSL for more than what it is intended for?

It should check if the identity represented by the client certificate (Certificate.getSubjectX500Principal(), or SSLSocket.getSession().getPeerPrincipal()) has access to the resource.
This way, we can leave the server untouchedNo you can't. The server has to get hold of the client principal after the handshake and authorize it against the resource.
if Bob wants to access some resources, Bob has to prove he is who he says he is.You're still confused. That's authentication, and SSL already does that for you. SSLSocket.getSession().getPeerPrincipal() returns you the authenticated identity of the peer. The server then has to check that that identity can access that resource. This is 'authorization'. You can't automate it via keystores and truststores. That's not what they do and it's not what they're for.
So I think it is perfectly plausible to do this kind of verification on the server side (i.e. "hijack" a certificate sent to validate the ssl handshake to also verify if the user has the correct privileges).There's no 'hijacking' about it, but you're concentrating on the certificate instead of the identity it represents. A client could have a large number of certificates that all authenticate the same identity. You need to think in terms of authorizing Principals to access resources.

Yes, if you repurchase it you may lose your progress. The exception would be a game that stored all your progress on a server under your ID
If you want to retain your progress you have two choices:
1. Don't apply the update.
2. Use your fathers account password to update the game.
