Dont see  plug-ins in Logic 7.2.2

I am running MacPro 3.0 and installed 7.2.2 no problems but when I install Drum & Bass rig, Garritain Persional Instrument and Wizoo Latigo, it is not there. Did I do something wrong?

I use Uno but I am going to upgrade to a bigger version
I use Cre8 and I use it as a standalone because it suits my work flow better, but the Melodyne bridge works fine.
I also don't use it much for pitch correction at all; I use it mainly for creating harmony ideas, creating dense vocal backing and doubling, audio->MIDI and creating different sounds, like putting a melody on to another instrument etc.

    hi there all.
last march (07), i went to an event in london called the Sounds Expo....
I was given a CD called the WAVES PLUG INS demo.
I put it in my mac and from that day on, i have been unable to use any third party plug ins such as fxpansion GURU, native instruments Absynth 4, PSP Vintage Warmer etc etc...
This is due to the PACE protection scheme that was probably updated by the Waves installer. Oops.
I have reinstalled logic several times, but nothing has changed. The usual AU plug ins in Logic work just fine. Its anything that is third party that doesnt work, like extra soft synths of effects etc...
Logic has NOTHING to do with this issue. This is a copy-protection issue. I RECOMMEND you do the following: Run Onyx, and delete ALL caches, especially the kernel caches. This will reset the PACE cache, wherefore the plug-in list for the copy protection software will be reset, so you can see your plugins again. I've been through this.
I phoned The editor of SOund on Sound magazine and he suggeste4d that I reinstall OSX itself...
No disrespect to whomever you talked to over there, but the guy does not know what he is talking about.
I'm a little worried if i do this, i will lose all my files????
Yes you will. DO NOT REINSTALL OSX.
Any advice on how to get these plugins working anyone???
    See my answer above.
    Many thanks for your time.

  • Missing plug-ins on Logic Pro X

I dont know if the OS update screwed up all my plug-ins on Logic, but now i scroll to pick an instrument on a track and turns out i have none. I open up my old sessions and find that they are missing as well, can someone help? *** is going on.

What does the AudioUnit Manager In Logic Pro X's preferences tell you about your plugins? Are they found and validated there?
    if not,
Are they all 64bit versions? ( as LPX doesn't support the older 32bit versions....)
    Which plugins are missing?
Are you looking in the right places.. Instrument button for SI plugins and Insert button for FX plugins...
Failing all that, post up a screenshot of your AU manager and also one of the Instrument or FX dropdown menu to indicate where the plugins are missing from and whats there instead

  • Plug-Ins for Logic Express 9

Does anyone know of any sites where one can download plug-ins for Logic Express 9 (either for free or for purchase)? Also, I know that one can use sound fonts (.au) with GarageBand --do these also work in Logic Express 9 and, if so, do they need to be reinstalled for Logic or do both programs read the same source files?
    Thank you!

To piggy back on previous posts, I would definitely pursue Native Instruments. While some may of the plug-ins may seem a bit on the pricey side, you will certainly get your money's worth. If you're looking for strong lead and bass sounds, I would encourage you to check out Massiv - it's my go-to plug-in of choice. I believe there is even a limited demo to try if you want to play around before purchasing.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to PERMANENTLY get rid of 3rd party Plug-ins in Logic pro 9.

Hi, im trying to get rid of some 3rd party plug-ins on logic, but it only looks like i can disable them. (sweeping them under the rug isn't helpful) This is a problem because i have one version of a plug-in that doesn't work and im gonna get another of the same version (with expansions) to replace it so im concerned that the 2 versions will conflict with one another and i wont get the expansions i payed for. Anyone have a solution to permanently get rid of plug-ins? -Tim

The component files of the third party plugins are in:
    Local Drive\Library\Audio\Plug-Ins\Components
You can make a backup of a given component (say in a desktop folder) and replace the component with other version etc.
You can use [Pacifist|http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/mac/12743] as well to install/extract a component from a given installation pack etc.
Edit: Sorry Immo I duplicated your reply solutions hitting posting a few sec. later...

  • How do i import 3rd party VST plug-ins into Logic Express 8???

I downloaded some vst plug-ins for logic express online somewhere and the instructions to install them says to go to library/audio/plug-ins/vst and to just drop them in there. i do that, but then when i drop them in there and then start up Logic, they're no where to be found in the program
is there another way you are suppose to import vst's?

You can't use VST plugins straight in Logic. The format recognized is AU (Audio Units) but there is a workaround using a program called VST to AU Adapter.

  • Plug-Ins from logic for Itunes?

Is it possible in Itunes to use Plug-Ins, for example a EQ from Logic?

I am thinking this is a Logic specific problem now.
I cannot see the logic instruments in the channel inserts either, although the effects and signal processors are there.
where should the EFM 1, ES m etc folders be on the drive?
asuming they are in the right place what settings could affect their showing up in the insert menu??

  • Can you import software instruments and plug-ins  from Logic Pro to GB

    Hello,
I purchased Logic 7 Pro and I find it to be way too much for me. Is there a way to take the software instruments from Logic to GB? I am not even sure Logic comes with more software instruments than GB. Do they both rely on the Jam Packs for additional instruments.
Is there anything else GB can borrow from Logic. I know I can move the sound effects aif files and use them. Just wondering about other plug-ins and the like.
    Thanks!!
      Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Here's how you get past the static interruption.
Make your software track and ignore the static interruption. Its not being recorded into the midi information.
Then export the track out and reimport it to a new track. Do this twice. Your export/import WILL have static in it but since it was random your two tracks will not have the static in identical places.
Edit out the static in track one by replacing it with a static-less portion from track two. You'll now have a complete loop with no static interruption.
xs4sis. The cool thing about the demos is you don't have to program anything just use the presets. Who CAN program those **** synths anyway?
There are some demos that have a hundred presets to them. I love that!

  • Missing plug-ins in Logic Pro X after updating OS X Yosemite to 10.10.2

I just updated Yosemite from 10.10.1 to 10.10.2 on my MacBook Pro and opened Logic X after the reboot to find that all of my plug-ins are missing. This includes not only the third party plug-ins that I have installed on my machine but specifically with this session file, the Apple/Logic plug-ins are missing as they are the only ones I was using.
I've deleted the cache file in the library/audiounits folder on my machine thinking there was some glitch there but that did not help.
Does Logic X somehow open in 64bit in Yosemite and the Apple plug-ins are opening at 32bit thus rendering them incompatible? I've read that that Logic X does not support 32bit plug-ins but if that were true why are the Apple plug-ins missing, they are 64bit correct?
btw, where has the Audio Units Manger been moved to in Logic X?

I just uninstalled/reinstalled Logic X. Apple plug-ins are still missing.
Has anyone heard of anything like this? I can't find any mention of this specific issue online here or elsewhere...

  • 3rd party AU plug ins vs Logic Plug ins

has any one got any suggestions of any 3rd party plug ins or instruments that compare or better the Logic ones, i am very happy indeed with what i have at the moment but feel some of the sounds i am getting from the synths are lacking a bit of warmth, maybe i need to dig a little deeper or maybe there are better things out there, obviously the ES2 is a killer piece of software but some of the pads that i am creating are not up to scratch. Is this just me? am i not adding enough plug ins to the synth or is it just not as deep as people say it is? i hear waves are a good too, discuss..............Thanks

    3rd party stuff eh?
Spectrsonics makes stellar AU plug ins. Can't wait for the aforementioned atmosphere to come out as UB this fall.
Also mentioned before, Reason is just a fun program that is very powerful and inspiring.
Odd that many people mentioned the NI products. I would, but after getting FM8, I just can't say I am an NI fan.
FM8 sound great! The software is powerfull, the UI is easy to use, the flexibility is enormous, but I can't recall all the setting of patches with Channel strip settings. I was quite disappointed as I wanted to Use FM8 to give me that DX-7 Rhodes sound to use for live gigs, but recalling a performance channel strip didn't load the envelopes, and the sound just didn't work. I emailed NI and asked what the deal was, and they told me it was a bug, sorry. The only workaround they could give me was to load the patch from FM8 it's self.
I still use FM8 for recordings, but never for live use. I also decided not to try any new NI products fearing more incompatibilities with how I work.
NI's stuff does sound great, but with tweaking I can get most of my other synths to match it.

  • Installing plug ins on Logic pro.

I would like to know if there is a specific folder to install AU plug ins of brands other than Apple.I had no issues when I installed Native Instruments that installed itself on the default location.A few other plugins do not seem to show up in Logic.SO I was wondering if there was a specific folder I need to install these plug ins? If so please specify which folder.

    Hi
Audio Unit plugins should be installed in (either)
    (Startup disc) Library:Audio:Plug-Ins:Components
    or they can be in
    <User> Library:Audio:Plug-Ins:Components
Note that you have to start Logic in 32bit mode for the Audio Unit Manager to successfully validate new plugs.

  • How do I use 3rd party plug-ins in Logic?

Yeah, so I installed a bunch of plug-ins such as Absynth and Elektrik Piano, and when I opened up Logic it said it scanned them as all that. My question is how and it what ways can I use them? Thanks!

    1. Are to ***** lazy to read the manuals.
    2. Have pirated the software (plus a few hundred plugins) and barely know what to do with either the plugins or the program. It's pretty easy to tell.

  • Any problems with Waves plug ins with Logic 8?

  • Fab Four Plug Ins into Logic

I just purchased the Fab Four software suite today and when I open Logic Pro 8 I cannot access any of the sounds. How come? What do I need to do to access the plug ins when I connect my guitar, etc to my audio interface?

As far as I understand, Fab Four is not an effect plug-in (apart from the ADT emulation): it's a virtual instrument.
Hence, no way of using it with your guitar, you'll have to open a software instrument track and play the sounds with a MIDI keyboard. Check out the video tutorials here: http://www.eastwestsamples.com/details.php?cd_index=1027
