Dont want my member name in my URL

I am really new to this, but I made myself a webpage on iweb, and made my friend one as well. I am sure she doesn't want my name in her URL...please tell me there is a way to change this? I am sure everyone has asked this, but I need help!!!!!!!!

There is no way to change this because iWeb always uses your .mac account name as part of the iWeb URL.
However, you or your friend can register domain names and have them forward to and mask over (hide) your iWeb URL so that people normally don't see the underlying iWeb URL. Each Domain would cost approx. $8 per year. See GoDaddy.com for example.
The other alternative is to buy another .mac membership account...maybe your friend can buy one if she is interested. Then her website can live in her .Mac account with her name in the URL.

I dont want my last name to appear in my nickname.

I have a nickname "Shadowhound" but since ive typed my last name for 100% completion my last name started appearing near my name. now im called "Shadowhound Nijs" can i atleast make it disappear by myself or do i need help from an admin?

you can change the display name that others see any time you want
in Windows client, click on the display name you see up top in your profile to edit it

How do I change MobileMe/iWeb member name?

We registered the iWeb account on my computer in my husband's name because we thought we would use it for family purposes only. Recently, I have realized that I could better use this account for my work. Is there a way for me to change my MobileMe/iWeb member name? I can change account details through System Preferences/.mac, but I am not finding a way to change the member name. I want to change it so the URL will be web.mac.com/myname instead of web.mac.com/hisname. Can I do this?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Technically speaking, using the MobileMe for commercial sites is against the TOU although we've not heard of any sites getting bumped for it. But commercial servers will be faster and more stable since they don't have to facilitate all of the bells and whistles of the MobileMe accounts.
You can purchase a domain name from one of the providers (GoDaddy.com is one many recommend for names and hosting) and have domain name forwarding activated from your actual site URL (http://web.ME.com/MobileMeAccount_name/your_work_sitename/index.html) to the domain name, www.yourspecialname.com.

I m using the following code for pdf file generation using a loop. The problem is every report is open in browser and then save a pdf file in a specific folder. I want that report is not open into browser just save pdf files in a specific folder. Any body knows how i do this. I am using 10g developer 9.0.4.

This configuration file is present in the /reports/conf/ directory.
It contains a few examples, very usefull if you want to hide some informaztion, like the connection string for instance.
you can call it by setting the entry name in the url:

I have made a web analysis report and now i want to show member names as well as alias of the members which i have selected on row side. How can i do that?

in the member properties, you have an option to show alias, member name, or both. Click on both / alias as per the requirement

How can I pass value based on member names in a script in 11.1.1.3

I want to pass a value to only those members of CostCenter dimension which has "5" in their name.
Eg.

So in the above case the value should exist only in the above 2 cost centers.

Just now I got more clearance on the requirement.
I want to create blocks only on the selected Cost Centers & Business Unit combination.
I have the following members in both these dimensions
Cost Centers

C12345982
Business Unit
BU5980
BU5981
BU5555
Now I want to pass a value to one of the dense dimension members from Measure dimension (member name = CrtBlk) to only those CCs & BUs where the last 4 digit matches.
So in this case it will be for only the first 2 cost centers.

My computer crashed and once restored I could only sync purchased content. I dont want to lose my non-ITunes puchased content. What can I do?

My Ipod Touch still contains all the original music. HELP!! How can I download music from my IPod Touch and somehow get it into my computer (ITunes Lirbary)...... Can I down load my content to a computer that does not have ITunes installed?

i dont want to use the default selection screen.
instead i want to process my own selection screen inputs..
(ie..) i want to fetch the data using the GET event using my own selection screen inputs.

I have a simple solution for this.i think it will help you.Do u have any idea about query designer in SAP.
by using it we can satisfy u r reuqirement.follow the below steps.
1)Go to SQ01
2)In the screen click on QuickViewer option.then you will go to another screen.
3)In that screen give any name starting with 'Z' in the QuickView box and then click on create.
4)In the dialogbox enter title and comments and then select LogicalDatabase as the DATASOURCE and give DataSourceLogicalDatabase as EQI.check the radio button Basis Mode and then click on ok.
5)then on the screen in the first half of leftside you will get another screen with the columns DATAFIELDS,LISTFIELDS,SELECTIONFIELDS,TECHNICALNAME.
6)In the DATAFIELDS column expand the tree,then u can see the fields what we have,and what you want.and also you can see the check boxes in front of the columns LISTFIELDS,SELECTIONFIELDS.
7)LISTFIELDS means the output fields,SELECTIONFIELDS means the selection screen fields(equnr).
check the checkboxes as per u r requirement and click on execute.
8)then a progam will be created.to know the program name after executing the program GO TO
SYSTEM->STATUS.then u can see the program name there.

Reading data from a text file into PAS - Dimension member names truncated

Hi,
I created a procedure to dump variables and data into a text file to load into another model. I used a semicolon as a field seperator.
The data, measures and dimension members are dumped properly into a text file and no dimension member names are truncated .
However when I read the data into a measure, and I issue a peek command, dimension meber names are read in truncated
and remain full names in the text file. Any reason for this? What do I need to do to prevent this from happening?

Hi Lungile,
The problem that you're likely having is that you haven't created a file description for the file from which you're reading. When loading data into Application Server from a text file, you would normally go through three steps:
1. Enter the ACCESS EXTERNAL subsystem
2. Specify the name of the file to be read
3. Specify the format of the file field names, types, widths, and positions.
If you go into the Application Server help, select "Application Server Help", then "Application Server at the command level", then "Variables and reading in data", and then "Reading an external file", you will have the process of the steps you need to follow outlined for you, including links to the help topic for each command you need to issue.
So what I think you need to do is use the DESCRIPTION command to specify the names of your fields, their type, and also their width, in order to ensure no truncation of data on the load.
The same DESCRIPTION statement is required if you want to use your text file as the source of a dimension.

Yes, you can. Nearly all email software can do this. It involves creating two folders and a Rule for each folder.
Maybe call one folder Personal Mail, the other Work Mail (Apple Mail calls folders Mailboxes). One Rule would route all mail from your personal email account into the Personal Mail folder; the other Rule would route all mail from your work email account into the Work Mail folder. It's actually easy to do, all you have to do is click a few things and the rule is set up. Once the Rule is written you can also apply it to existing messages already downloaded to your Mac.
In Apple Mail, Rules are under Preferences > Rules. Follow the prompts to create a rule like this:
If = Any
Account = my Personal account (select the name of your personal email account)
Perform the following actions: Move Message to Mailbox = my Personal Mail (select the name of your Personal Mail folder (aka mailbox))
This rule says, "take any message that comes in from my Personal Account and move it to my Personal Mail mailbox (folder)"
Create a similar rule for your Work email.

Hyperion Planning Smart View issue with Member Names & Aliases

Im using Smart View "Essbase" Connection to a Hyperion Planning Application, ver 11.1.1.3, however with the essbase connection i am not able to select at the smart view options to see aliases, members or both. I change the setting ( Duplicate member names allowed =true) directly at the properties of the outline in EAS, and now i am able to see the aliases, however if time I refresh using web planning/workspace this setting is undone. Furthermore i dont thing i should use it with planning. Any comments?

First of all I hope you have not changed the properties of the outline in EAS for a planning application.
For more information on using aliases in smartview have a read of :- Smartview --- Display options --- to display alias names
Also you will only be able to view member name or aliases not both at the same time.

My ipod says it's synced with another computer and will erase my ipod, i dont want my ipod to be erased

My hard drive went out and had to be replaced. I coundnt back-up anything before it happened becuase i was having so many issues with my computer. So i plugged my ipod into my computer and Itunes tells me-
the ipod "my ipods name" is synced with another library. Do you want to erase this ipod and sync. My ipod has only been plugged into this computer. I dont have anything from my ipod saved and I sepnt a TON of money on the music, apps, and videos on my Ipod. I dont want to lose all of the stuff on my ipod but i need to sync it. Is there any way i can get everything off my ipod and onto my computer without using Itunes? then i could transfer them to Itunes.

Try this:
Right clicking on your ipod in the device list an d choosing "transfer purchases" will copy apps and bought media from iTunes to your computer. Due to the new iTunes library on your new HD, iTunes will erase your ipod during the first sync. To save your data to the computer take a look at this article about saving data from your device to a computer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
Basically it's backing up manually, transferring her purchases (apps and bought music), letting iTunes erase the ipod due to the new iTunes library, and restoring from the manual backup again, to get all the data and settings back.
Make sure your new computer account is authorized in iTunes. Disable autosync in itunes, connect your ipod, right click on it in the device list and choose backup.

Transfer your purchases the same way to copy all apps and bought media from the Store to your computer.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer to be able the merge your calendars and contacts after your ipod got wiped during the first sync.

Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

Hi, you can do this using a custom container instead of the docking container. If you have a screen, go into screen painter and create a custom control in that screen, then in the PBO, you can reuse that coding and just use the custom container instead of the docking. Make sure to name the custom container in the screen as 'TE_CONTAINER'. This is what I've referenced in the code below.
