Dont want soe songs to play random in IPOD

I have some songs on the ipod that are kids songs and I dont want to have them play in my Adult random play.. Is there a way to have them in the pod and NOT play in the random sequence.
thanks

One way is to (1) create a new play list that has ONLY the songs that you want to hear. (2) Then set the playlist to play in sequence/random/loop. (3) Update the iPod with the new playlist.

    Hello, iBillyxD.
Thank you for the question.  The best way to avoid this behavior would be to delete the music video from your library.  You can always download it again free by accessing your previous purchases.  To delete and item in your iTunes library, select the item and hit delete on your keyboard.

  • HT1473 How do I get a purchased song to play on my ipod shuffle remote from the docking station?

How do I get a purchased song to play on my ipod shuffle remote from the docking station?

I can think of only one reason a song would be "converted" while it is being loaded on a shuffle.
Select the iPod in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES.  Over to the right, depending on iPod model, go to the Summary or Settings tab.  There should be a setting there that says Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC (the 128 kbps part may be adjustable).  If that checkbox is checked, try unchecking it.
NOTE:  This setting may allow more songs to fit on the shuffle, but for any converted song, the sound quality will become inferior.  So I don't use it.

Maybe you have multiple accounts that's why your purchase history is empty. You can try checking for possible Apple IDs that's existing for you or you can ask for assistance from support.

  • SONGS NOT PLAYING iTunes 7, iPod 1.1.2.8

WOW, HOW ABOUT THAT?! MY IPOD WON'T PLAY MUSIC... I recently upgraded to the new itunes (computer reformat) and upon plugging my working ipod in, it prompts to upgrade to iPod 1.2. Assuming (regretably) that it might have fixed some of the problems in 1.1.1.0, I agreed. Now none of the songs I transfer will even play on my ipod. I cannot click "play" on an artist OR "Music" or an album, unless it's one that it wants to play.
If anyone has any fixes, suggestions, besides going WAY OUT of my way. PLEASE reply. Otherwise, I plan on restoring my ipod and hopefully finding a download of the less-sh**ty v6 of iTunes.
I guess I will HAVE TO F*ING RESTORE my IPOD FOR THE I-DON'T-KNOW-HOW-MANY'TH TIME. THIS IS REDICULOUS!!! AN IPOD THAT DOESN'T PLAY MUSIC!!! Of course, they have those Pay-For games down pat, don't they. You Mac fans have no idea about a monopoly. What choices do you have for an operating system? I will use this HACK to downgrade:
    iPod:\iPod_Control\Device\SysInfo :::::
    BoardHwName: iPod M25
    pszSerialNumber: XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    ModelNumStr: MA002

Set the visible build ID to a lower number than you want to update to. This will allow you to again UPGRADE to a new version instead of having to do a factory restore. Why they don't let you do this by default, I don't know. But it works fine.

I too can't believe that Apple has pubically done nothing to admit there are "issues" with iTunes 7. All of management must be too busy congradulating themselves for a job well done releasing wonderful new product with the revolutionary iTunes 7. Shouldn't these people be working on Windows Vista?
So far, I've lost everything on my iPod, all of my podcasts cannot be transferred from my computer, I can't run any Windows programs while iTunes is running or my computer locks up so bad I have to un plug it and iTunes will not even open if you don't have an internet connection. Yeah this is really convienent. Nice job.
I really hope that the person responsible for releasing this looses their job as this has not only cost me money from my lost purchased downloads but also lost productivity in taking the time to troubleshoot this software that countless engineers should have done.

  • Single song wont play on my ipod

I have one new song in particular that will not play on my iPod. It works fine on my computer in iTunes, but in my iPod when I try to play it, the iPod hangs for about two seconds, and then skips over to the next song.
I figured that the file must have been corrupted somehow even though it worked on my PC, so I deleted it from my PC. I then synced my iPod and chose not to transfer it so it would be removed from my iPod as well. Then, I spent the 99 cents to just buy it again. Brand new download, and the same problem is still happening.
    Any help would be appreciated.

The only suggestion I could make is to ensure that the song is aac format and/or under a certain file size. I had a problem with one song also and converting to aac fixed it-- probably because the file size was dramatically reduced by the conversion. However, if you purchased this song from the iTunes store it should be in aac it think.

  • ITunes disabled songs from playing through my iPod.

When I got my new Macbook Pro I synched my 5th generation iPod Touch (16GB) to get the music from my iPod to also be in my iTunes library on my new computer. I had around 1100 songs on my iPod and only about 600 transferred to my computer. The songs that didn't transfer to my computer are still on my iPod, but are greyed out and when I go to play one, my iPod will just skip the track completely. It seems as most of the songs that aren't playing are the ones that have come from CDs that I've downloaded onto my iPod through iTunes.

This happened to me. With iOS 7, there is a setting that wasn't on the iPhone before, that is automatically turned on with iOS 7.
To fix it, follow these steps:
Settings > iTunes & App Store > Under "show all", turn off "music" & "videos"
This will only display the songs for which you have put onto your iPhone and not all of your purchased content. It will also stop your iPhone from lagging between each song.

  • Songs stop playing randomly in the middle of playback

I just upgraded to 7.6, and now I can only listen to between 5 and 30 seconds of any track before the audio just cuts out. It's as if someone pulled my headphones out of the computer, but it happens when I'm just using PC speakers, too.
    * The song continues to "play," that is, the progress bar continues to move forward without any audio actually coming out.
    * If I drag the progress slider a bit, pause the song, restart it, or jump to the next track in the list, the audio restarts for another 5 to 30 seconds.
    * If I don't touch anything, when the song gets to the end (no audio), it will progress to the next track. After about 5 seconds, the next track will play for a few seconds before cutting out.
    * One of the stereo "sides" (left or right) will cut out before the other one.
    * I have the latest audio driver.
    * I have the latest iTunes.
    * I have no third-party plugins.
    * I have enabled "Maximum Hardware Acceleration"
    * The "Sound Enhancer" in iTunes is off.
    * I have the latest version of DirectX
This is incredibly annoying. What's up?

Gosh, guys, thanks for all the great help.
It's the Cisco Systems VPN client. Whenever it's connected, anytime another program makes a noise, iTunes stops playing music.

Not a new problem, it seems.

  • I updated to iOS 5.0 and now only certain songs are playing on my iPod

I have a few songs on my iPod that aren't playing, you touch the song, and then the iPod freezes and crashes and will bring you to one of 3 places: the lock screen (slide to unlock), back to my playlists menu, or to my first page of Apps. It just started happening with the iOS 5 update. At first I figured, "probably some corruption while updating, no biggie I'll just restore." (note that all of my songs work on my MacBook Pro), but after restoring and then checking a song that I knew for sure wasn't working before it still isn't working.
Notes: It won't work in any of my playlists OR in the preset, "songs", "artists", "albums", etc. lists.

Firefox 4 was bad but Firefox 5 is awful !!
It's slow to start, hangs, everything seems to take forever to do and i've never had so many page errors ... which i think is due to the time it takes to get things to load.
Firefox 3 was great, why have we been landed with this millstone around our ankles ??
I have another laptop still running the old FF and it's positively rapid compared to FF5.
If things dont improve SOON i'll be going elsewhere for a browser. Just can't be doing with this, just makes everything so slow and unstable.
Come on Mozilla - get it sorted !!

  • Forget song last played after using iPod as a disk (Win)

    Hi,
I use my nano as a hard disk to store some info. Each time I do so, then I go back to music it comes back to the very first song in the list and doesn't remember where it used to be.
This means that each time I disconnect it from my PC, I have to scroll through the artists, albums and songs to get back where I was.
Is there any way to avoid this?
    Thanks for any help.

Everytime you sync this happens, not a bug. It goes back to the main menu. I suggest use the search or make a playlist with the albums you want to go to.

  • How do I prevent a song from playing on my Ipod?

I have some songs in my Itunes that I want to keep, but do not wish to hear them on my Ipod when I select to shuffle songs. How do I do that?

On the song, right-click > Get Info and on the Options tab, choose "Skip When Shuffling".
I know it works in itunes, and I think it works on the ipod, too.

  • Reading comments of the songs while playing on your iPod!

Few days ago I downloaded the new iPod updater. It has many disadvantages but I just found a really cool advantage. When I played my podcast instead of giving me rating of the song it shows the comment text that you can type in iTunes. I think this will really cool option if you can read your comments for songs on the go. Don't you? Anyone any idea why the podcast coments can but the mp3's cant show up on my iPod? Thank you.

    Very Cool!

connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
