Hi experts,
My problem is the following. I enhanced a Extraction Structure, I activated the append structure, and I assigned the Infosource to the datasource and it was ok. Then, I had to do some changes to the append structure, I again activated it, replicate the datasource, but I don´t see the changes. When I replicated the datasource for first time I saw the fields of the append structure, even I did the transfer rules. Then, when I did the changes I could not see more the new changes, but I can see the fields that they have not been changed.
The changes were:
- I changed the name of the one field because it was longer of 16 car. (before ZZ_CLASSIFICATION, after ZZ_CLASSIFCAT).
- I added two fields more.
I am not sure How works the RSA3 transaction. On it I entered the datasource name and I pressed the "Strat Extraction" and the system show to me a message "1558 register selected", then I pressed "Display List" but I can´t see the changes
Do you have any idea about what happen?

Hi Leonel,
Usually, when I try to enhance my DS, I delete DS-IS assignment. Then do what you've done already. If you don't delete the assignment first, then often the old info remains.
So, delete this assignment and repeat all steps again.

Cannot see the appended fields on BW side

Hello all,
I appended the extract structure of a datasource (added two fields), I can see those field in RSA6 and can see the data in RSA3. Then I replicate it on BW side and am trying to create transformation between that datasource and DSO but I cannot see the added fields in the transformation rules so that I can map it to the infoobjects in DSO. When I see the fields tab of datasource (in datasource tab in RSA1) I can see those two fields but I am not getting now how do I map it with DSO objects.
Can someone throw some light please.

hello all,
I tried same thing completely by using 3.x method transfer rules and update rules and it works good.
I finally can see the appended fields. I did the whole process as the 3.x method, transferred the fields in transfer structure, added my infoobjects in communication structure and then did the transfer rules. So now finally I am able to see the fields in datasource and now I am able to map the source fields to the target fields (Z infoobjects) in DSO.
I can see the data in PSA, so I just went ahead and did a direct assignment so that data will go to the target infoobjects but for some reason still those columns are blank, so basically there is data in PSA but its not getting to DSO.
Do we have to anything different in this new version like write a routine or something in transformation rules?
Are these steps right for the new version NW 2004s, or is there any additional step in this new version.

How to see the IDOC structure in XML format

Hi, I am ver new to MII. I configured connection between SAPand SAP MII and IDOC is triggering in SAP MII. I can see the idoc triggered in Message monitor.
Now my query is how to see the IDOC structure in XML format? I written a transaction where I am assigning transaction.xml to my Local.xml and trying to display with message action block. When I display the message I am getting message as below
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
There is no data in the xml, but in SAP side i seen data and segment which sent to MII as a IDOC. Please help me how to resolve this issue.

In Message monitor I seen the IDOC list after executing POIT transaction code in SAP.
But the display button is disabled always in message monitor screen. I want to take this IDOC and save it in my SQL database. So I want to see this IDOC structure in XML format. Where i can see this structure?

A structure is appended to a standard structure. while activating the appended structure its throwing Error called-
Package Check for Table/Structure ZCDPR_BW_BUPA_LINKS .
The object TABL ZCDPR_BW_BUPA_LINKS uses SQLT DPR_BW_BUPA_LINKS.

We are into the upgradation project and want to find out the Append Structures/Data Elements/Domains in the existing system and need to replicate in Target.

How can I "see" the folder structure behind the iPhoto-library?

Within iPhoto (iLife 8) I can right click on a picture and, through Show File, find it in its respective subfolder. BUT, when I go to finder and highlight the iPhoto library in Pictures, I only get information about the total library (size, location etc,) but not its underlying folder and subfolder structure(as was customary in iPhoto6). What changes in settings do I need to make to show the folder-structure?

None, you can't do it.
With iPhoto 7 (iLife 08) the old iPhoto Library Folder is now a Unix Style Package File. The change was made to the format of the iPhoto library because many users were inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves. You can look inside there simply by right-clicking on the iPhoto Library and going 'Show Package Contents'.
However, It is strongly advised that you do not move, change or in anyway alter things in the iPhoto Library Folder as this can cause the application to fail and even lead to data loss. There are no user serviceable parts in the iPhoto Library.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
For 10.5 users: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.

To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use THIS
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.

Or, if you want to access the files with iPhoto not running, then create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use THIS
Other options include:
1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

Delete the appended structure of an Extract Structure

I have appended the extract structure of vendor text with additional fields. Now i would like to delete my appended structure along with the fields of my appended structure but i am unable to find the option to delete this. Kindly guide me how to go about it?

Goto SE11 -> Put append structure name ..should be ZA* .. and select delete option , This will delete append structrure ref. from extract structure.

HOW CAN I SEE THE ENTIRE STRUCTURE WITH FINDER?

I need an help. How can I see everything in my hdd, the exact content of it, using Finder and not an 'easy view'? For example, in the hdd root there are folders like 'tmp', 'var', 'usr' and so on but I can't see them from Finder just using the command prompt. How can I do?

Open the AppleScript Editor in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder and run the following:

This script will not allow you to access anything which is set not to be readable by your user account. The /dev/ folder on the startup disk is hardcoded to be hidden to the GUI and cannot be revealed in the Finder by this or any other method. To turn it off, replace the 1 with a 0.

Back ups disappeared. I can see the folder structure but they are all targetless alias.

A couple of months ago I restored a Lion MacBook Time Machine Back up to a new MacBook Air using Mountain Lion. Obviously, the whole content wouldn't fit in the considerably smaller hard drive of the MBA, so I only downloaded what was most important, and left the back up in my external disk to access if I needed other files.
The thing is, I did access the files a couple of times, but sometime in the past two months the back ups have dissapeared. Instead, I can find my fold structure, but they are only aliases. There are no files there.
I used finder to browse through all the different dates inside the Time Machine folder, but there were still only aliases.
The Time Machine Back up folder reduced in size from about 500GB to 45GB, but I have not deleted anything. And I haven't set up a new time machine.
Any one has any idea of what might have happened?

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Unable see the transported changes.

Hi All,
There is change in my source IDOC structure for mapping.
In my dev system i have imported this changed idoc and made the mapping changes
I have transported these objects from DEV to Test server
The changed mapping got successfully transorted from DEV to Test server
For changed IDOC the changes were successfully imported from DEV to Test server. But there was problem for assembly. The problem was with Version conflicts for this IDOC.
What I did is, I deleted this IDOC definition from test server and retransported the IDOC from DEV to Test server
This time the IDOC got successfully imported and exported in test server. SWC got assembled successfully.
But the IDOC did not get created.
I can see the IDOC in transported list but cant see the IDOC structure created in test server under Imported objects.
Please suggest.

Hi Sheetal.
You can see in change List in Test Server if there are objects stopped (not active) there. Or maybe you have to retransport all objects. If In the Test Server shows the conflits message, you must accept this updates (accept button new objects).

Not able to see the request in ODS to activate

Hi all,
I have a content ODS, i scheduled a infopack and the data came in thru ok. But inorder to upload the data into the cube, i know i need to activate it before. But when i rightclick and go to activate data in the context menu .. there is a popup which shows all the request id's in the ODS. but i'm not able to see my request to activate it ... Is there some flag has to be set inorder to see the requests in the activation list? once its activated, I think all i need to do is "UPDATE ODS DATA TO DATAPROVIDER" as it is a standard content. Is there something else i need to do ..Pls guide.
Now, I have a new problem, when i'm trying to see the transfer structure, it doesnt open and i get a msg

Diagnosis
The PSA transfer method is used to transfer data from source system CRM to transfer structure 0xxx_xx_xx_I_BB. Source system CRM does not support a PSA transfer.
Procedure
Define the PSA in the source system.
Its actually a content one i installed and i didnt do any customizations to it... Shouldnt it work out of box? If no!! how can i define PSA in the source system.

1.) Are you sure that the loading process finished successfully in the ODS? Kindly ensure it did.
2.) Have you tried providing a longer Date Range in the Request Display (lower right).

Is there a way to see the entire schema ?

We are using Information Steward 4.2. I was wondering if anyone has found a way to see the entire database schema, rather then just the 'related-to' relationships for a given table within Metadata Management.

We are using IS 4.2 .
I'm able to see the schema structure in Metadata Management.
Metadata Management ->Select Ddata Insight connection ->Select Tables ->Select Columns
which gives entire schema.
