Dot-Matrix table border print

Dear gurus,
I want my output to print on Dot-Matrix printer,
Everything is fine till i try to print a table with outline in it.
I mean if i use a outline or a border for my table the whole table is displayed as a big black window.
Now if i don't use the border or outline then the whole data of the table is printed without the border.
Please help me to solve the issue.

Can you try to print in a different printer, if the error persists then the problem is in the smartform, otherwise raise a note to SAP regarding this. I think that there is problem is with the page format in which u are taking the printout.
OR
Can you check if you have selected the framed border in the table border select pattern.

In Forms 6i, customers had the option to use dot matrix printers for printing text reports.
I believe, from 9i onwards, text based reports aren’t supported and instead HTML/PDF,DOC,RTF reports are supported which are not text based and use modern day printers.
Is it still possible to use text printers ??

Drow dot-style table border in JEditorPane (editing HTML)

Hi,
I want to extend JEditorPane to display table border in dot style when
displaying tables with border="0". (like most HTML editors)
I extended HTMLEditor and it's ViewFactory and now maybe I have to write extended TableView class for rendering my tables.
I tried to do that, but without any success.
Can any one advice my how can I rewrite the paint method or some kind of example how to make it.

Hi, i had advantage but i did it in a very stupid way. I copy/pased the
original source and modified some inner classes.I do not remember exactlly what i did (right now i do not have the source).
I modified BoxView and BoxPainter inner classes to achieve this effect.
When i have the source I will paste it here.

Laser and dot matrix printer

Hi ,
I have developed delivery note using smartforms when i see print preview of this form giving logical destination laser printer it is coming fine and print is also good. but as my client wants to take the form print both on laser and dot matrix so when i am giving logical destination as dotmatrix printer if i see print preview then the total settings are disturbed like boxes and also in print the box lines are not printing.
what i have to do to get good printout on both the printers.

Best idea to print your script on both dot matrix and laser printer is, create one table and allow user for maintainance, now before print preview go and check this customized table(using subroutines) and if laser printer, print all boxes... if on dot matrix remove what all lines not supported on dot matrix printer.
EX:
Go and fetch printer name from customized table,
IF printer = 'LASER'
***Draw boxes
***LINEITEMS
ELSEIF printer = 'Dot matrix'
***LINEITEMS.
ENDIF.

Dot matrix printers Capable of printing TABLE lines In Smartforms

Hey guys,
we are using EPSON LX-300+ (dot matrix pritner)
but the problem is,
it is not able to print table lines present in a SMARTFORM..
it can print the same table lines presnet in SCRIPT ...
so i want to know,
all the dot matrix printers in the market...
that can print table lines in SMARTFORMS...
(pls suggest the DM printers u are using and dont have this problem..i.e unable to print table lines in SMARTFORMS)

I have used three different line types for the main window.
LTYPE1(Header) : For printing the column heading along with the title for consignor address.
LTYPE2(Main Area) : For printing the line items detail. For the first line, I have to print Material Description and chapter Id and if the same material exists for the second line item, then it should not be printed, so I have written condition for not printing it.
LTYPE3(Footer) : For printing the footer with the net and gross weight details.
And for paragraph format, I have used the custom Para. Format only.
Suggest me ASAP.

Problem in Smartform Table/window Line Using Dot Matrix Printer

Dear Experts,
I faced issue in printing smartform using dot matrix printer. In the print result, the table line (horizontal and vertical) is not printed. I already search the forum but none can solve my issue. I already changed the table line width into 30 or 40 TW but still not work. Everything is OK in the print result, except the table line.
If i manually print/write '__' (underscore), it appear in the print result, but to write horizontal line and vertical line manually in the smartform will be huge effort.
I used device type EPESCP9 for the output device.
Can you tell me what i need to do?

Smartforms table border lines not printing (URGENT)

HI,
I am trying to print samrtform table border lines on Epson dot matrix printer, in print preview it showing table borders as thick black lines, while printing it not printing lines. It is printing data correctly. Can any one suggest the soution, it is very urgent.

Problem with countinuous paper printing in dot matrix printer

Hi All,
I have problem with dot matrix printer (Devise Type EPESCP) while printing continuos printing. If i am printing 2 or more than that prints at a time, 2nd page is printing 5 lines up.
I have developed one smartform for this and i have used A4 size page format.
I have tried to change the Printer initialization code to 86 lines for DINA4. Still no change in continuous printing.

Above you have the following commands:
set line spacing 6 LPI
\e\0x32
set page length 86 lines
\e\0x43\0x46
46 HEX = 70
So the above settings mean 70 lines at 6 LPI = 11.66 inches.
So is the paper length 11.66 inches? If not, you should adjust the settings accordingly.

Stop rolling the the paper out in dot matrix priner once the print is done

Hi,
I have used the below code to print a document and the printer used is dot matrix But,it rolls out the page once the print is done.
I want to control the printer so that it stops rolling out the page once the print is done. Or set the print based on the paper size and stop rolling the paper.

Not so much wpf there.
Keep an eye out because this thread may be moved to another forum.
I think Word will "throw" the page at end.
You could check the advice here:

See if you have an unwanted page break or something like an outsized table which is making it think it needs to print more.
You might get lucky.

Printing smartform in Dot matrix printer

i am giveing the printout of the smartform in the dot matrix printer. But in the print out the template is not getting printed and in the second table i am getting extra lines in the table. Please give me any suggestions and is there any settings to be changed in the printer.

There may be some isssue with the loop used to printing the table ....
There might be only 2 reasons either there is loop repeating or not data is not cleared concentrate on this two issues only .
try debugging the table jus before printing .if its is fine , then
Sometimes even the problem with the print catridge could have resulted in this .

Trying to find an impact printer to do invoices on an imac computer, but no luck so far. Any ideas?
