Double Bar Scrolling

Hi friends,
I have a report with more that 20 columns which is navigating from the theme page when i scroll it with a browser horizontal bar.
Since i dont want the theme page to navigate when i scroll it with a browser horizontal bar.
I have look into this example, as they have made both horizontal and vertical scroll bar to appear for the report by freezing two columns in it.
http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=267:90:541849831137996_
How to build this.
Can you friends, help me in achieving this from scratch. It would be great if i achieved this since my application consist of so many reports in which each and every report is having nearly 20-30 columns.
As i was a learner in CSS, JSP. i dont have any idea in achieving it.
Thanks

Mini

Hi jari,
Thanks for your help.
But one more doubt, as this is applicable only for the report based on the sql query and it is not applicable for an interactive report which is based entirely on a table.
Since i need Actions option to be set for the report.
If i used report based on sql query means, i cant able to get that actions options.
How i can proceed with it jari. Is it possible to enable a search bar for the report based on the sql query.
Whether keeping this vert/horizontal will be only applicable to the report based on sql query.
Since for the interactive report there is no any report template option available, so where i can change the custom template to my interactive report.
Hence there is no *'layout and pagination'* option for the interactive report. it is there only for the report based on sql query.
Then for interactive report how i can set that custom template.
Regards,
Mini

    Hello.
We've noticed that the TOC slide bar/scroll bar is not displaying via iPad.  It does show Desktop via Safari and FireFox.  Is there a setting we have missed perhaps?
    Many thanks

Depending on your issue, making an appoint will be offered as an option by choosing "Take in for Service" (see http://www.macrumors.com/2014/11/07/apple-genius-bar-online/).  Of course, you could also just try calling your local Apple store.

  • Dead Keys and bad Double Finger Scroll

    Hi there,
thought I would post before calling Apple, btw not good for me since in a very remote location... anyway, new MacBook Pro (core 2 duo), the "n" "h" "z" "6" and num lock keys do not respond, tried booting from another drive and all sorts of tricks in Sys Prefs to no avail. Another really annoying thing is the TrackPad's scroll which is very unresponsive, also tried everything in Sys Prefs like "Ignore accidental...". I know how a working track-pad double finger scroll should work since I had a Core Duo.
Well, anyone had the same type of issues?
    Cheers,
    Michael

    Michael,
It is quite possible that you either have a defective keyboard or a bad connection from your keyboard to your logic board.
If you were local to an apple store, and they had a Topcase Assembly, this is a repair that could take under an hour if they were kind enough to take you immediately.
If not, you will be forced to send out your computer, and most likely be without it for anywhere between 3 to 5 business days, mostly due to transport times.
Regardless, it should be a quick, easy fix - though longer if you do not live close to an apple store.
If you have a remotely local apple store it would be beneficial to call them to ask:
    1. If they do in store repairs
    2. If they have a "topcase" in stock.

Yes, Juat drag a double bar symbol from the part box (keeping an eye on the help tag) to the beginning of the appropriate measure.
It is global btw and willl appear on all parts.

  • Lion OS X - Double finger scroll

I just installed Lion OS X and all functions seem to work except for the double finger scroll. Does anyone know how to fix it! Thanks!

I did exactly that Neil.   I guess my MacBook Pro is too old to support the native smooth scrolling capabilities of OS X Lion.  For instance, here's what I see in my "Trackpad" system preferences panel:
Probably quite different from what everyone else has.  Anyway, I'll continue to fiddle with it, but methinks I'll need to install a Smart Scroll-like add-on to get that functionality again.

  • How to fix double vertical scroll bar in responsive output

After implementing the solution provided for the question 'Responsive HTML5 Output: How to auto adjust the screen resolution for all devices?', the function bar in output does not appear and also another vertical scroll bar in the output. I edited the max-width value in the layoutfix.min.css file and fixed the function bar issue. How can I do away with the additional vertical scroll bar?

    I've looked into the issue.
@Delennish: In your case, the size of the iframe is too large, or you have an extra empty element below the iframe. You can try 2 things:
    1. Best solution but may have side effects: In the main.css, add the following code:
    div.contentholder { overflow: hidden !important;}
For this option, please check for undesired side effects.
    2. Works, but is ugly: In the main.css, add the following code:
    div.floatholder iframe.wTopic { height: 95% !important;}
Try playing with the height setting until the 2nd scrollbar disappears.
@CarolW: The layout you're using is very old. I've made a new responsive layout with TOC only. Please use that one instead: http://www.wvanweelden.eu/sites/default/files/attachments/Theme1_Standard_TOC_Only.zip (I'll update my site with this new version later.)

  • HELP: Horizontal menu bar scrolls page horizontally

    Hi experts out there,
this is my first attempt in spry menu bars,
and all works fine but ...
in the following page if you click item 3.1 and move the mouse out to the side all is fine
but if you move out down into item 3.2 - then the whole screen is scrolled to align item 3 left in screen.
    http://www.yonius.de/menu-and-data-frame-test.html
I debugged it to some degree (starting js) and discovered a lot of show / hide submenu calls which do not really seem to make sense.
I already downloaded  SpryMenuBar-fixed.js   from this site, but that doesn't help.
Problem seems to be around leaving item 3.1 and entering 3.2 where I do not yet understand the complete logic of the code.
I would also be happy if the menu just disappeared after the click. but there is no click related code in the script
that I could have modified ... and my JS skills are still beginner ...
I am using an Iframe here to display internal and external links driven by the menu ...
btw. is it true - there is no spry update / fix since 2008  ???
not even a RELEASED version of 1.6.1 ??
feels strange to depend on something 'dead'
thanks a lot for your help before I give up and look for s.h. else than spry menu ...

    addition:
    problem appears
    in IE8 and Firefox 3.5
sometines ? and with a visible flicker in Opera 10.6
    but NOT in   Chrome

  • Reports bar scrolling screen down and up.

    Hi All,
I have an issue that bugs me with Firefox. Often there are informational reports at the top of the webpage screen like "Flash has been blocked ... allow continue" etc. These scroll the whole screen down when they display, to fit in their bar width and then scroll the screen up again when they time out and disappear. Often this scrolling causes me to click on the wrong message or advert or link as the screen has moved under my mouse. This has caused incomplete or wrong Emails to be sent and redirections to advert sites and has caused problems on Ebay with their compact drop down lists. I don't have super sharp reactions.
How can I stop this behaviour?
    Thanks :)
P.S. I will update Flash soon, I just get fed up with doing it...

Thanks for not reading my question at all. I said I turned caret browsing OFF and facebook was the only site doing it. I fixed it anyway but thanks for nothing. And I downloaded 9.0.1 for a reason. If I wanted 23 I would have gotten that one. I don't like the newer ones.

  • Space bar scrolling in safari is slow and laggy

Been searching this for a few days, and while I know some people are having "jaggy" scrolling issues in Safari (caused - or not - by the new Flash install), my experience is slightly different, and appeared at some point over the last week or so.
In short, it's just a lot slower to scroll via space bar. It used to snap right down to the next part of the page almost instantaneously, but now it sorta "slides" down. Scanning long web pages is a drag.
Chrome and Firefox still jump instantly to the next page via space bar, so it's a Safari-based issue. Curiously, the two-finger scroll is still fairly instant on Safari, but it's not a natural movement for me.
Anyone else having this issue, or possible fixes?

    Ok...
Some users with a similar issue found a solution by uninstalling the Flash plugin, then reinstall new, then repair permissions. See this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11691898&#11691898
    Uninstall Flash
Install the most recent version of Flash here.
    Now repair permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

  • Facebook "top bar" scrolls off

One of the features of Facebook, and other sites, is that no matter where you are on the site, some content stays fixed.  For Facebook, this is the top bar which has the notifications, the search, and a couple of buttons like your account information.
In Safari 6, this bar stays at the top just fine as long as you are on the page's natural font size.  You can scroll up and down all day and the top bar stays there.  However, if you zoom in a bit to make the font bigger, eventually scrolling down causes the top bar to scroll up and become not visible.  This is true no matter where I am on the page.  If I'm at the top, and then zoom, it will start to scroll off right away.  If I'm half-way down the page and zoom, the bar shows up as being there, and then scrolls off.
So, it isn't like the bar just goes away.  It starts in the right place after a zoom operation, but then doesn't bahave properly when you scroll.
I find this very annoying.  This does not happen in Chrome.  I can make the fonts much bigger, and the bar stays there.  As such, I'm still using Chrome.
Note: this didn't work on Safari 5, either, but I figured they would have fixed it by now!

    More testing...
On Chrome on Mac, and Chrome on Windows, if the top bar of FB is "all visible", meaning you haven't zoomed in so much that the top bar has lost some of the test to the right of the window or the left of the window, it always stays.  If you zoom in a lot such that, say, the "home" link, which is the right-most link of the FB bar, is outside the scope of the window, even Chrome doesn't keep the top bar in place.
On IE under Windows 7, it operates just like Safari - any zoom causes the top bar to scroll away.
I guess this isn't just a Safari thing, then, but Safari should still fix this!
