Double click for new tab dont work

When I hidden the menu bar does not work double click on the tab bar to open a new tab. What it does when you double click, is to restore or maximize the window depends on the status of this.
If I shows the menu bar, go back to work.
I have the latest version of Firefox 4.

I can no longer open a new tab by clicking on it or by using file and new tab menu, so what do I change or reset for new tabs to work?

There is a reported incompatibility between the Ask Toolbar and Firefox 3.6.13 that causes new tabs to not open. This problem needs to be fixed by Ask; they need to update their toolbar add-on for Firefox. After clicking for new tab, the tab does not open like it used to open. Pls guide on this.

Try uninstalling the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and the current version of Firefox.

Option-double-clicking for docs has stopped working after iOS 4.0.1?

Hi,
I've just installed the XCode 3.2.3 and iOS 4.0.1 SDKs and now the auto-linking to the documentation has broken. It works about 50% of the time, and quite randomly as to what it can or can't find.
The documentation is up to date, as I can always find the method/type name manually. Is there a way to force a rebuild of this linkage? (I've tried rebuild code sense index)

Looks to me like it never finds methods declared in protocols, e.g. - (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching: ...
Also, it looks like there's problems with ambiguous method names, e.g. [[NSData alloc] initWithContentsOfFile: ... which will take you to NSArray's documentation.
No, I have no idea on how to fix this.

Why doesn't ctrl click to open URL in new tab always work?

Same action as control enter (windows desktop); should open link in new tab. Works most, but not all of the time. What might be the reason for that?
Using version 31; I only started seeing this behavior recently.

I want the cursor to be in the address bar when creating a new window; it works for new tabs and in a new private window, but not in safe mode.

I have tried following the advice offered in the few different threads I have found on this but nothing fixes it. I want the cursor to be in the address bar when I open a new window and/or when firefox opens without restoring a previous session. I fixed the issue for new tabs via about:config but this doesn't work for new windows. I tried safe mode and the problem persists. In new private windows the cursor is in the address bar.

The search box in about:home steals the cursor. Changing your home page to something else will cause the cursor to start in the address bar for new windows.

I can no longer open multiple tabs in a window but if a program opens another tab it will work but clicking on "new tab" does not work.

That is the details. When I click on "new tab" it will not open a new tab in the current window. When I click on something that will open a new tab it works that way. I can open new windows, that is not problem This only happened the last week or so.

When I open a new tab, I have to move to the other side of the page to click "home". Can I set the same "home" default for new tabs?

My home page opens in the initial FireFox window, but new tabs open with a blank page. To get to my default page I have to click "home", but now it's way over on the other side of the page.

Sara, I started having the same problem yesterday. In my case I was able to remedy it by disabling FasterFox 3.9.81. If you don't have that installed, I would recommend turning off your extensions (one by one), restarting firefox, and testing until you find the offender. Hope that helps!

The "+" sign at the end of browsing tabs no longer appears, so I can't open new tabs--tried all (re-loaded the add-on for new tabs--no joy.

It's also possible you accidentally dragged the "+" icon to another toolbar and just need to drag it back where it belongs. If none of this works, go to Tools | Options | Tabs and make sure "Always show the tab bar" is enabled.
If you're really stuck, double-clicking your mouse just to the right of your last visible tab [or File | New Tab (Ctrl+T)] should also open a new tab.

Mavericks Finder - how default to "double click opens new window"?

I am old and set in my ways. I like having the Finder open a new window when I double click a folder. Since 1984 I've arranged Finder windows in positions and sizes that suit me and I have never seen any reason to change.
In Mavericks however there does not seem to be a way to default to, "double click opens new Finder window". My choices under Finder preferences are, open in the same window; or open in a tab. I don't care for either.
Does anyone know of a way to restore the traditional Finder behavior in Mavericks? Thanks in advance.

Double click select all does not work in web site's search area after going back.

After updating from Firefox ESR v24.8.1 to v31.20 double click select all does not work in a search area after going back or searching again with the same input. It happens before clicking search icon and searching for something else double click select all does not work except it works for one word that's all.
This issue is with all new Firefox ESR and None ESR I have tried. Also the issue is on all web sites like www.softpedia.com for example.

Did you make a clean install and restore the library from a backup? No.
Or did you install the new system amd new version on top of the old system? Yes.
What version did you upgrade from? 3.4
Is your Aperture library onyour internal drive or also on an external drive? External
During the update, has your Aperture library been moved in any way? No, its still where it was on the external drive.
