Double email removal

Since re-affirming my Apple ID with much anxed, I must add, when I'm trying to download a FREE app it asks for my Apple ID password, showing above the data entry window an earlier email which I have since removed from my Apple ID security info. So it will not accept my newly updated email and password which works for My Apple ID login, but refuses to accept in the Apple ID password data window for any app I want. I have also signed up for iCloud to help in this, but no avail. This issue is now preventing me from downloading even the FREE apps.
PLEASE HELP.

It sounds like you created a new Apple ID rather than changing the email address of the old one. Apps are tied forever to the Apple ID they were purchased with.

    I would first suggest removing and re-adding the email account on the BlackBerry Z10 and then monitor the delivery of messages.
    Do the duplicates come in the exact same time as the original message or is there a delay?

    When I am done browsing I close the browser by clicking on the X. Since I use Window 7 I always get the message "A script on this page may be busy or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete"

    That will be due to an extension that is not working properly, possibly the Better Privacy extension. To test this, if you have Better Privacy installed try disabling it to see if the error stops appearing. To do that, in the Tools menu select Add-ons, then go to the Extensions panel, select Better Privacy in the list, then click on Disable. re-start Firefox to complete the process, then see if the error message appears.
    If you do not have Better Privacy installed, repeat this process with the other extensions until you find the culprit. First check any extensions with the initials bp.
    If it is Better Privacy, it should work with Firefox 3.6.13 on Windows 7. Make sure you have the latest version, also try uninstalling it and re-installing it, this may help if your version has become corrupted.

    what kind of email provider are you using? (gmail, yahoo, comcast) And check your mail settings to make sure mobile me didnt mess up and add your email twice.

    Hi all....so i have set up my email to forward to my Yahoo mail, to be pushed to my Iphone. Everything works great, except that each email is sent twice to the phone. When i log into the Yahoo account.from a desktop...same thing there are two of each email in the inbox.     I am having an issue with one of my email accounts where email are being removed from inbox automatically.  They go to the inbox and then they just disappear.  If i forward the email to another user the mail is not deleted....
    Any ideas?

    From the Mail menu bar, select
    Mail ▹ Preferences ▹ Accounts ▹ Advanced
    and from the popup menu labeled Keep copies of messages for offline viewing, select
    All messages and their attachments
    If there's no improvement, you may have to switch from IMAP to POP access.

    I have an iPod Touch on which I use a POP email account. When I first started doing this many months ago, I found it annoying that I had to delete individual emails from the Inbox -- which is to say, move them to the Trash -- and then they would pile up in the Trash until I opened that and individually deleted them again to remove them from the device altogether.
    Later I discovered that there was a setting under Mail settings in the account's Advanced section that you me specify how long deleted messages would hang around in the Trash until they automatically removed themselves from the device. Eureka! Now deleted messages would sit in the Trash and then disappear on their own after a day or so. This setting is documented in the old Knowledge base article

    Now I've done the latest upgrades and I find that this option has disappeared from the version 2.0 software, at least for POP accounts. My particular accounts’ setting appears to still hold, i.e. my messages that I move to the Trash are still staying there for a day and then disappearing. But I'm fearful that if I ever want to change the setting (e.g., change it to ‘after one week’ instead of ‘after one day’), add a new email account, or if my iPod simply gets clobbered and I need to set it up from scratch again, I won't know how to get things back to the way I like them now that I can't find this setting's switch any more.
    So my question, briefly: under version 2 iPod/iPhone software, does anyone know how to set the time frame in which deleted (i.e., moved to the Trash) POP emails get permanently removed from the iPod?

    Do you want to remove the icon or the email account?
    You can only hide the icon if you don't want to see it anymore. To do that just ALT+click on it, and in the menu that appears, choose Hide. If you delete the email account (either through your carrier's BIS site, or through the email setup icon on the device), the icon will be removed.

    I have two gmail accounts. One is forwarded to the other as a backup. On ipad mail i see the same email double, while this does not happen on mac mail. How can i avoid seeing double without stop forwarding?

    How many mail accounts do you have in Mail > Preferences > Accounts and what type are they (POP, IMAP, .Mac)?
    If you click on the black triangle to the left of Inbox to disclose the individual account mailboxes, how many accounts do you see there? Do the duplicates appear in the mailbox of the same account or in different account mailboxes?
    Do you have any custom rules? Disable all of them, and see whether that makes a difference.

  • Just got 4G, email removed from server when read

    i just got the iPhone4G and setup all my email accounts with no problem, BUT i dont want any emails marked "read" on ther server when i read them on my iphone, but thats exactly whats happening.....anything i can change to stop this? marking unread does not work.....i have aol and gmail accounts....and tested marking unread on iphone, does not re-appear in inbox on aol....bummer, any advice?

    Normally email read on the phone will still appear on another computer, UNLESS you selected 'Remove from server' in the mail settings. Depending on whether the mail is POP3 or IMAP it may or may not be marked "read" on the server. POP3 will not be, IMAP will. But with IMAP it will still be there unless you delete it on the iPhone.

    I'm having the same issue too. Would love to know how to remove those extra/unwanted email addresses from the cache too.
    This issue has nothing to do with the Contact app. If you received an email from someone who is not on your Contact list and when you replied to that person, next time his email address will automatically saved in your iPad memory and I'm trying to get rid of it but can't seems to find a way to do it. For your info, this address does not appear anywhere in my Contact list.
    Let me give an example. If I received an email from [email protected] and I if replied, this email address will be in my iPad memory even though I switches off or soft reset my iPad.
    Now If I have a friend email [email protected] in my Contact, and if i go into my email app and pressed "T", [email protected] and [email protected] will both appeared under the drop down list. The question is, how can I get [email protected] off my iPad for good?
    I believe KiwiAdventure is having this same issue as me too. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
