Double Images in e-mail

I have a problem e-mailing images with Aperture. I export them for e-mail, attach them to an e-mail and send. The images arrive to the intended person fine, except along with them comes duplicate files, which have no actual image associated with them.
So it might look like this: Attachment : c2.jpg (0.05 MB), c2.jpg (0.19 MB), c1.jpg (0.05 MB), c1.jpg (0.15 MB)
With the 0.19 MB images being the actual images and the 0.5 MB images being the “ghost” images.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Nat

Hi Nat,
that may be a "feature" of the receiver's email program. Which email client are you using for sending, what client is used for receiving the e-mails? Does this occur with other email clients as well?
Furthermore, Aperture has a neat feature for exporting images directly to Apple's "Mail" client. Have you tried that? Does the same phenomenon occur?
Cheers,
Karl

  • Mail will not show images in e-mails

For some reason, after having my Comcast internet re-connected recently, I can no longer see images embedded in e-mails. They don't show in the preview pane or when the e-mail is double-clicked. It's very strange.
I tried deleting the preference file and all the other tricks, but nothing seems to work. I also haven't been able to find any answers to this online, so it seems to be a very strange problem.
Any/all help would be greatly appreciated. I guess my next step would be to create a new user and see if that works.
    Thanks in advance.

I'm getting the same problem with my Apple Mail, but only from one sender! His messages have images embedded in the email, but they only appear as placeholders (blue square with ? in it). I can Quicklook them, but they appear in a different order to the sequence in the email (judging from the descriptions). It's weird that it only happens with emails from this user (using Outlook, I believe).
Stranger still, I can see the images fine using Mail on my iPod touch accessing the same POP account (I've set it leave the messages on the POP server for 7 days so both clients can grab them).

How do I not display the preview pane in mail until I open it with a double click? Some mail I do not wish to open-just delete it. New macbook pro with LION OS

Just drag the divider line between the preview pane and the message list all the way to the edge so the preview is completely closed. Selected messages will open in a new window with a double-click or the return key.

    Hi, try this...
If nothing is showing in the Toolbar at top, click the little gray oval at top right.
Right click or Control+click on the Toolbar, choose Customize Toolbar, drag the Send button to the Toolbar.

  • How to send image file through mail without   any attachment

Plz tell  me how to send image file through mail without any attachment  ( i mean not converting  that image into pdf or any format )  i want to send that text or image  through mail .

    Hi Sandeep,
I think you can setup the type of email in Shared office Settings in transaction S016.
There is an option called <Preset document classes>
You choose this pushbutton to branch to the maintenance screen for the document classes that are directly displayed to users in the Business Workplace for selection when they use the Create function. The name under which the documents are displayed can also be maintained.

Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.

  • Adobe Prints Text as Double Image

When I print pdf documents online[specifically http://content.educationdirectonline.com/course/VET010/online/vet010_088001.pdf ] the text prints out fuzzy, with a gray double image of the text right behind it, almost like a shadow. I've tried turning off the printer(Dell Photo Printer 720 with new black ink cartridge and full colored) to reset the cache, but it hasn't helped. The problem seems to be specific to Adobe, because I have printed text documents with notepad and they turn out fine.
Also, I have tried changing scaling options, text rounding options, and even tried printing the pdf as an image, none of which have effected the problem I am experiencing.
If anyone would help me solve this mystery it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for taking the time to read through this.

It seems to print fine for me. I would suspect that you may need to update your printer driver.
What version of Reader are you using?

  • How to disable image cache in Mail 7

I urgently need to disable the image cache in Mail 7. How can I do that?
Reason: I regularly get mails with image files that are essential parts of customer orders. The image content is different in each mail, but the filename is the same.
Mail 7 displays the same image in every mail until I restart it, it obviously displays a cached file instead of the original image.
Where is the Mail-cache-file? Can I writeprotect it?

I think Private Browsing might be what you are looking for,

Any advice? This has been going on for months! Thanks!

If you view the full headers of the message, what is its "Content-Type"? If it's text/plain, that would be the problem: HTML email should be text/html. If it's multipart/alternative, make sure you're viewing the HTML alternative.
Under View in the Menu bar, select Message > All Headers to get Content-Type.
Is it all emails or emails from specific senders?
    Are the emails forwarded?
Log into yur account using webmail. Does it show correctly?

  • Downconverting video to SD without double-images

So I have some HD video that I want to put on a DVD. I have DVD Studio Pro, which as you know, will not downconvert the video to SD for me. I tried re-exporting the video as a regular old SD QuickTime movie, but I noticed that there was a bad case of the video having double-images at certain places where there was a lot of movement. For example, if someone is waving their arm around, I'll see the image of the arm and then a second or even third "ghostly" image of the same arm right behind it as long as it is still moving (is there a term for this?). I looked at the HD version that I exported earlier and it had this as well during the same moments.
I was able to finally get rid of it by converting the HD version to an H.264 MP4 that is still HD using MPEG Streamclip. The video also never had this problem while still in FCP. Problem is, DVD Studio Pro won't burn this to a conventional DVD (or, at least nothing that our DVD players will accept). Is there a format that I can export the video to that is widescreen, SD, and won't have that ghostly double-image? I also have MPEG Streamclip and iSkysoft Video Converter available (as well as Compressor, which I know nothing about), but I haven't seen a way to downconvert video to SD with them.
Difficulty: I'm on a cruise ship with very limited Internet, so I can't download or buy much of anything.
    Thanks,
    Adam

Compressor has running time based DVD presets. Apply the appropriate one and bring the resulting files into DVD SP. DVD Video requires MPEG 2 video and and .ac3 audio file. Read the user manual in the Help menu.
Converting to H.264 is not the way to go.

  • Image inside e-mail ??

    Hi,
This is the code i found in e-mail, which is used to display an image inside the mail.
    <IMG src="cid:024b01c1d494$76fe2520$[email protected]">
How can i create this image in memory and insert this image in HTML page.
    Thank you !

OK.. I think I understand the issue. Let me just restate in my words to make sure:
You want to be able to render the contents of an HTML formatted MIME message where the message contains an "embedded" image.
Assuming this is your objective, I have a solution.
If you are using a web browser to render the email, the one and only way a browser can render an image is with a valid URL path. As you correctly point out, the src of the image is not a valid url path. Thus, the only solution is to change the HTML.
This approach can be confirmed if you simply send an email with an embedded image to Hotmail or Gmail. Using Outlook, you can "insert" an image which results in the embedded image situation in your example. If this is sent to a Gmail account (for example) and you view the source of the message at Gmail you will notice that the src attribute has been changed by Gmail.
So... You need to parse the html and replace the src attribute of any image where the src is currently referencing another "part" of the message.
Now... The actual image is most likely NOT in memory. This is deliberate because it may be a 10GB image which would kill your server. So, what do you replace the src attribute with?
In the solution I implemented, I created a servlet (actually a struts action) which was supplied with the content ID (cid) if the image to be rendered. This servlet then looks into the same MIME message, finds the associated part, gets the part's input stream and pipes it straight out to the HTTP response.
    For example:
    Where you had <img src="cid:1234..."/> I replace with <img src="render.do?cid=12345..."/>
The render.do is my struts action (servlet).
This is the only way I know how to render embedded images in emails via a browser. If anyone else has any bright ideas?

  • Mp600 prints double image. Color type not in register.

Recently update iMac to OS X Yosemite. Tried to update mp600 software. Only software I could find was for mp610. Now when I print color, it prints a double image out of register. Black type seems to work fine, but colors won't line up. Is there anything I can do or any software I can use to correct this issue?

I'm not seeing that problem here, either (Safari 3.1.2 in Mac OS X 10.5.5). The image at the bottom left corner matches the background nicely.
Have you looked at your site on more than one Mac running Safari? My thinking at this point is that your web site and images are fine, but there's a problem with your installation of Safari. Do you have any third party Safari "enhancers" or hacks installed?
