Double lines

Hi. I am working with Adobe LiveCycle Designer to create a interactive form. I am a first time user to Adobe and I am having trouble with my forms. I have been saving word document forms into Adobe and then creating a form which has worked out perfectly except for the double lines that seem to be created when I export the documents from Word to Adobe. Sometimes the documents are transferred exactly the same and sometimes the lines are doubled. Is there any way to edit the contents of the form in LiveCycle Designer if its being transferred from Word? I can figure out how to edit the feilds.

When you import the word doc into Designer you are given two options. One is to maintain the fidelity of the word doc (basically an image is created and you can lay fields on top of it) or we can attempt to change word objects into xfa objects. In this case some best guesses must be made and you may not get as good a looking document. In the 1st case there are no objects to adjust so to answer your question no you cannot adjust the double lines. In the 2nd case, because objcts are created you will be able to adjust the lines or remove them completely and put a new one in.

I format a cell with a double line at the bottom and it appears until I move to another cell and the formatting is lost.

When you describe the "double" line are you talking about something like this?
If so this is only selecting an edge of a cell. You still have to select:
1) Line style using the menu to the right of the one I have circled (currently "Thin")
2) Line width using the menu to the right of the previous one and, finally,
3) the line color using the menu to the right of the previous one
Even so I have not found a way to copy cell border formatting so I ALWAYS wait until the very end to add border formatting.

Adding a double line border to a table

Try using borderStyle property of a field

Right click on the table and select Visible Items>Row Headers and Visible Items>Column Headers. the data in Row and column headers are not part of the 2D string array that is a table but are available from the properties RowHdrs[] and ColHdrs[] as the example shows.

How to draw and modify double lines with Adobe Illustrator?

I need tot draw roadmaps. This should be easy using the pen tool, but my problem is that I cannot find a way to draw double lines with this tool. I have seen many fancy border styles and patterns. Some do have double or even quadruple lines, but the problem is than that they have an offset from the vector line and the space in between the two lines (the edges of the road) cannot be filled. Somewere I also found some pens called 'Double line 1.1' to 'Double line 1.6' but they also had an offset from the vector and I could not chance the size of the lines and the interval in between them independently.
What I am looking for is a way to draw two lines in parallel and have the option tot fill the space in between with a color or even a pattern.
The color and size of the lines should be changeable to make a distinction between several types of road.
Is there an existing set of pencils for this purpose? It would be nice to be able to draw not only roads, but also railways and rivers!
I am surely not the first person who needs to do this?

Thanks for the answer. I have been searching for a solutions for a long
time, but today I found the solution on a forum (not on this one). That
solution is exactly as you described below, i.e. using a coloured line and a
narrower white line on top of the first one. My problem was that I did not
know how to create a custom brush based on the two lines. Now I know how to
do that. However, I still have the problem. I can now draw double lines and
I can change the color of the background line (the coloured one) but I
cannot change the white colour of the narrower line. I assume that I have to
completely redefine a new brush when I need to change that colour too.

Pls my canon image class printer D530 always prints double lines on paper. what can i do pls?

i have changed the toner that came with the printer but its the same old problem. it also leaves an overflow of ink on the top of papers. pls any body who could help

I'll be glad to help. If double lines and ink overflow are still occurring after replacing your Canon toner cartridge, the symptoms indicate either a paper media, cleaning or hardware related issue.
Please ensure that supported paper weights and types are being used (16-60lb. depending on paper tray), and they are loaded properly without overflow.
An issue of double lines or black streaks that are either being produced only when using the Automatic Document Feeder, or with every print, can often be resolved with cleaning. Cleaning the Automatic Document Feeder and/or the Fixing Assembly can help. Clicking the link to select article "Cleaning the Machine" will walk you through the steps as well as cleaning the Platen Glass.

Delimited File - Double lines, Delimiter At End

I just installed Patch 9 for Forms and Reports. I have rebuilt my forms and reports.
I get a good PDF preview, but when I use Generate to file... Delimited... the resulting file has a delimiter at the end of each line and the lines are doubled(?); there is a description field that looks ok and then the numeric data which looks wrong on the extra lines.
In addition, any way to use delimiter_hdr=no in the Generate to file... in the preview window?

It turns out that driving the report with different parameters (DESFORMAT=DELIMITED, DESTYPE=FILE, etc.) and skipping the preview, I get the correct results. It looks like the trailing delimiter is still there, but I don't get double lines.
Generate to file seems to be broken, unless there is something in my report that makes preview/generate different than using the command line parameters.

Simple lines - double lines ...

I've been working on Number since yesterday and I must admit, I am globally satisfied with the ergonomic approach of the software. For a Allwithmac user I am for a few years, I found easy to take it in hand ... but one thing frustrated me, just the simple fact that you cannot add double lines on the cell borders.
Did I miss something?

If you wish to delete the part of a path that is between its crossing two other paths, you may (Smart Guides are your friends) select the path to cut, click each crossing with the Scissors Tool (Smart Guides say intersect, or anchor if it happens to be at an Anchor Point of the other path) and delete the new cutoff path in between.
If you just wish to have the doodles appear as if they are on top of one another, you can just give them a fill.
If you wish to have an outer closed shape with whole/partial doodles inside, you may put the shape on top of all the doodles and Object>Path>Divide Objects Below and delete the cutoffs outside it.
If you wish something else, do something else.

3-color "double" line...graphic styles?

I'd like to create a "double" line that uses 3 colors. The third color would be the gutter space in between, either white, or clear. The lines on the outside would have different colors, and/or different dotted or solid patterns.
Example:
Red 1pt
White 1pt
Green 1pt
How would I create a Graphic Style of this type?

For a simple double line, you may use an Art Brush, for more complicated versions such as one full and one dashed, you may use a Pattern Brush.
You may:
1) Create a rectangle with a height corresponding to the first line thickness and an arbitrary length, or corresponding to one dash and one gap, and give it the first colour, no stroke;
2) Move a copy straight down (or up) by the distance in between plus the first line thickness, and change the height if needed (setting the upper left Reference Point in the Transform palette/panel), and change the colour.
Now you can define it as an Art Brush, or if you want the second line dotted:
3) For the line to be dashed, reduce its length to the dash.
Now you can define it as a Pattern Brush.

How do you get Mail to single vs double line space?

I'm new to Mail and finding it frustrating.
Sometimes I hit carriage return and get a single line space like
this and at other times I get a double
line space like that. I've tried Rich Text, Plain text settings and neither seem to have a predictable effect.
What is this. It is so unintuitive and well... wrong. If I want double spacing, I'll hit my Return key twice. I don't want line spacing forced on me.

I could not find any way to add to my previous question so I replied to it. I'm having trouble selecting, copying and pasteing text. It comes in without formatting to the font in use where it is pasted. It comes in underlined and the underline cannot be removed. It comes with extra blank line before and after. If I do underline text there is no way to remove the underline. When I try to paste my serial number to get apple help it doesn't work any more so I have to type it in. OSX knows what the serial number is so why doesn't just put it in there?
Many thing I try to do in OSX seems to be so restricted that I can hardly do anything I'm use to doing in Windows. icloud is a joke for storage with all the restrictions on it. Can't even look to see what is in it.

I found that, you have entered the Condition Type EDI2 at Item level, which is wrong.
EDI2 compares the overall item value, that means, Price for each item multipied by number of units.
Suppose, in the order, you have 10 pieces of material M1 (Rs.100/- per piece price). Then the overall item value is 10x100= Rs.1000/-.
EDI2 compares this overall item value. So , you need to enter EDI2 at the Header level of the document. If the difference is more than 1 currecncy unit (in this example, Rs.1/-), then , when you will save the order, system will give the pop up that the document is incomplete.
In the above example, suppose, you enter, EDI2 at Header level as Rs.997/-.
Now, the difference is Rs.1000 - Rs.997 = Rs.3, which is more than the allowed deviation by EDI2 (i.e, maximum Rs.1/- only).
When you will save the order, system will mark this document as incomplete.
EDI2 compares the overall item value and accepts a maximum deviation of 1 currency unit and this is guided by the "formula 8 "assigned to EDI2 in the Pricing Procedure, in the "Alt cal type" field.
So, ensure that, Formula 8 has been assigned to EDI2 in the Pricing procedure.
If you want to enter the Customer expected price for an item, then you have got another condition type EDI1, which you can enter at item level. EDI1 compares each item value and accepts for a maximum deviation of 0.5 currency unit (in our example 5 paise maximum). If the deviation is more than this allowed limit, then system will mark the document (order) as incomplete when you save it.
This is guided by "Formule 9" assigned to EDI1 in the Pricing Procedure.

Double line showed for gst report under asset entry

Everytime we use F-90 to post an asset, the tax data becomes double. One with tax amount and the other one withtout tax amount. This impacts the VAT report as the base amount becomes double for a single document.

What you are seeing is happening as the Table boundaries itself are used as clipping boundaries. The second line of the double border is clipped as it otherwise would be drawn outside of the Table boundaries potentially affecting other report items.
The workaround is to add a row with no content at the end of your table definition. The only purpose of this row is to supply space for the second line of the double border.
