HI, last night my Adobe was not working properly  on my new Win 8 computer.  Finally fixed it but got prompted to pay-I did, I couldn't remember if I was drafting monthly or if there was an issue with a payment.  I made a full payment, and I am completely current, so I realized I paid twice!!  I did the 30 day free cloud but school is burying me so don't think I will extend.  Thank You so much for your help.

  • ICLoud upgrade from 10 to 20gb - partial refund? Double paid.

    OK, I upgraded my standard 5gb free storage to 10gb,two months ago. In 2 months I used it all up - so yesterday I upgraded to 20gb. Should I be entitled to a refund? I've effectively paid for the 10gb plus the 20gb, and only have 20gb.
    Apple should only charge me for an additional 10gb to take me to 20gb - not the full 20gb charge after I'd only recently paid for the 10gb upgrade...surely?

    I upgraded to 10GB within the last 30 days and now realize I too need more space after starting college this month. I have some disabilities and recently discovered the InDaisy app for playing audiobooks for the blind and dyslexic on the iPhone/iPad.  The files are quite large but I guess I will just be out of space because I don't agree with having to pay twice for upgrades. It seems to me like an underhanded way to generate revenue. Very disappointing - please tell me that we are missing something in the fine print.

  • AR Invoice with Installment Terms-On Account Balance

    Hi To All,
    We have a customer with invoice with 18 month installment terms.  The first and second month installments were paid.  But for the third month customer double paid the installment #3.  So the installment close but we placed the duplicate payment on account.  When we try to apply this receipt to installment #4, the invoice number is not being queried.  So would like to know if this is a bug or expected functionality.  If it is the expected functionality what are the reasons behind this.

    Thanks for your reply.  We checked the invoice payment schedule in the tables are 4th to 18th are all open.  We have also verified this thru the forms and same appears.
    So when we go to receipts and attempt to apply on accounts funds to the invoice.  We cant query for the invoice.  The following oracle forms message appears:  "FRM-41830:  List of Values contains no entries"

    Ringtones (and audiobooks) are currently a one-time only download - as to why, I don't think Apple have said, but it may be that the people supplying them aren't allowing Apple to have them re-downloadable.
    You should be able to copy them from your phone to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11) so that you can take your own backup copy. You should also backup any music, apps, films etc that you buy from iTunes, as even though you might currently be able to re-download them there is no guarantee that they will remain in the store (content providers occasionally remove their items).

    That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
    So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
    But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it...

  • My iTunes says I owe $5.25 for songs that I have already paid for and am not going to pay for again but I want to get some apps from the store and now there's a hold on my account. Who do I talk to get the hold taken off

    I explained it most in my question but I am getting charged double for songs that I have already paid for and am not going to pay for twice because that is messed up. But I want to get some apps from the store and it wont let me because of $5.25. Who can I talk to about resolving this issue?

    You're right, it would have been covered under warranty. But because of the user damage, chances are there's a 200-something dollar fee . If you explain to them that it had a defect previously, they might replace it for you at no charge. **MIGHT**. But they would have to believe that it had a defect previously.

  • PDF/A keywords still doubled in Acrobat 9.3

    After Adobe Acrobat for Windows is patched to version 9.3, the long-standing PDF/A keywords bug is still present.  When Saving As PDF/A, the words in Document Properties >Description >Keywords are doubled.
    Does anyone know an effective way to ask Adobe to fix that bug?  I suspect a fix would be a small matter for Adobe, and of course it's disappointing that version 9.3 does not include such a fix.

    Yes, the "PDF/A keywords" bug was reported via that link -- more than once, and by more than me.  See, for example, http://forums.adobe.com/message/2435312#2435312.
    Would it help if *you* also reported it?  You have a significantly larger presence on this forum than I do.  If you feel that could help, please do report the bug.
    And/or, is there another way to obtain Adobe's attention on the matter?  Acrobat is a major product for Adobe, and "9" is still its current version, so it's difficult for me to understand why such an exasperating problem that needs only such a simple fix does not obtain Adobe's immediate attention (for instance, via a specific patch).  The problem could probably be solved with less than an hour of a programmer's time.  For a paid-in-full Acrobat 9 Pro user, who needs and uses the PDF/A feature, it feels like being held hostage to the whims of the software's developer.
    For now, my workaround is to generate my PDF/A files via non-Adobe software, where the "PDF/A keywords" function works just as it should.

  • None of my "paid" books will open in iBooks.  They show they are there, but when I open them all I get is a blank page.  I have checked all the newbie mistakes.  Mavericks will not let me uninstall and reinstall iBooks.

    All the books I paid money for will not open in iBooks on my MAC.  Mavericks will not let me uninstall iBooks, so I cannot uninstall and reinstall it on my Pro.  I have deleted and re-loaded the books and they show in my library (as they always did), but when I open them, all I get is a blank page with three dots at the bottom, flashing in sequence.  This does not affect the free books from the book store nor does it affect the PDF I have loaded myself.  (I had this problem on my iPad when the latest big software came out about a year or two ago, but I was able to re-initalize the complete iPad from my Pro Book.)  I have tried just about everything I can think of, but all to no avail.  To save time, I have reset my iTunes password and performed all the other "Apple Tips" in the support section, but after 5 hours I am giving up.  Surely someone else must be having the same issue??

    Yup, same issue since installing Mavericks.  iBooks works fine on my wife's Macbook Pro, but on my Mac Pro none of my purchased (protected) books will open - only the free/unprotected ones.
    I'm asked for my AppleID password, but nothing happens when I try to open a purchased and downloaded book.   I deauthorized, reauthorized, etc ... nothing.  Each purchased book that I double-click gives me a dialog asking for my Apple ID password.  Nothing else.
    I was already buying more books via Kindle than iTunes and this just seals the deal for me.  At least I can read my already-purchased iBooks books on my iPad still...

  • Z2 double tap to wake up the screen is not working properly when taking it out of pocket

    when i take my phone out of my pocket, the double tap function is not working properly, sometimes i have to  tap over and over to wake up the screen. 
    do you know why? does same thing happen to yours ? 
    and please dont tell me not to use it. i have paid 700$ and i have right to use my phone fully functioning.  
    any advice ?

    Actually it needs some practice, you need two gentle taps on the upper third of the phone (around the place where the clock shows on lock screen), tapping too hard or tapping on the lower part of the phone will require repeating the tapping more than one time. This is from my personal experience.

  • I paid for a yearly subscription and now it says I'm on a trial version of adobe creative cloud?????

    It was working fine from march onward when I bought it but when I tried to sign in today it's saying all my products are just trial version and when i go to activate it, it asks for a serial code which wasn't give to me in my emails or anything? I have the transaction in my bank on the day that i paid for it. I've tried re installing and updating but nothing is working. What. The. Beep. This is really annoying.

    Sign out from Creative Cloud and sign in again using email ID using which you had purcahsed subscription:

    Then launch CC apps which is asking for serial number and check.
    Still asks for serial number check the hosts file for Adobe entries , if present remove it and try to activate.
    Windows :
    1)Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and look for file named "hosts" inside etc folder.
    2)Copy the hosts file to Desktop and open the same with notepad.
    3)Delete Adobe entries present inside Hosts file like 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com.......etc
    4)Copy and paste the Hosts file back to "Etc" folder.
    Make sure to select "Replace" option when prompted.
    Mac:
    1) Right click on the Finder icon on dock and select "Go-To Folder" option.
    2) You will get a text box, type-in below mentioned command and then hit 'Return' key.
    /etc
    3) It will open the etc folder, please look for file named "hosts" and copy the same to Desktop screen.it
    4)Double click on Hosts file , it will open it with TextEdit, If present Delete Adobe entries present inside Hosts file like 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com.......etc
    5)Copy and paste the Hosts file back to "Etc" folder.
    Make sure to select "Replace" option when prompted.
    Then launch CC apps which is asking for serial number and check.
    Note: If the hosts file does not have Adobe entries , you can try below steps:
    Windows :
    Press Windows button (located between Ctrl and Alt buttons) along with R button together at a time , you will get a run command window.
    Type in below command and hit 'Enter' key.
    appdata
    Then navigate to Local>Adobe>OOBE. Open OOBE folder and delete opm.db file.
    Mac:
    1) Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-To" Folder option.
      2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.( Do not miss ~ symbol)
    ~/library
    3)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe>OOBE. Open OOBE folder and delete opm.db file.
    Once you had deleted opm.db file , launch Creative Cloud desktop application and sign in with valid email ID.
    Then launch CC apps which is asking for serial number and check.

    Amazon has the FBDIMMs and at excellent price. Can't say the same for OWC on price or quality really when it comes to those FBDIMMs. OWC 'sometimes' has had a lot of trouble - or people on here with having to go through multiple exchanges with new sets back in 2009-10 plus charge much higher.
    They want 3x what I paid for 16GB and they are not even as good let alone better even in support and warranty.
    "Came with software" you don't own is what that usually means, not the license and master copy etc.
    I keep my 1,1 running and yes dumped a lot $$ into it over the years, probably longer than warranted (did a lot of upgrades in 2013: ATI 5770, Sonnet Tempo, 16GB FBDIMMs) and I keep upgrading and replacing SSDs went from 128GB to 250GB to 500GB and moving some to the Sonnet Tempo SSD.
    It does not qualify as 64-bit firmware (EFI32 vs UEFI EFI64) and has lesser PCIe 1.0 and only 1 - 16x, 1 - 8x, 1  - 4x, and 1 - 1x slots. So graphic card in 8x or 16x and your most demanding card. Only the lower slot is double-wide for most any graphic card.
    Lion stopped getting security updates last month too, and some software more and more requires 10.8 or above. There are ways to force those to run on 2006, might be fun if you have the mind set of a programmer or like to fiddle with operating systems.
    I already pointed to Amazon and brand and mentioned those keep to 59*C and have them in mine for nearly two years.
    I think even with the cost of Windows 8.1 license I assembled (already had case and PSU and SSD/HDD) an i7-4771 PC for $800, vs. the cost of upgrades I did in 2013 alone on my Mac Pro which though has stood me well for 8 years. People that already own one feel fine upgrading, and some have replaced processors for 8-core 5355s when that made sense and could use it now that you can find ebay pair for $100 or even less. But Sonnet Tempo Pro etc today? I just wish there was a desktop - 4-core (not dual core), not soldered memory. A step above the Mac-Mini. And a Mac-Mini fully configured costs way too much for my tastes.
