DOUBLE Quantity from CUBE to APO

Hello All,
I am trying to load the data from the cube to APO - DP interactive planning via transaction /SAPAPO/TSCUBE.
I loaded once and then reloaded second time. The quantity for the cube for a product is 70. When I loaded first time and saw in the interactive planning it was 70 but when it was loaded second time it got doubled to to 140 in the interactive planning. The quantity should remain same since it is not a change.
What could be the reason ? Please help.

Hi,
I am not very sure about the 9ARE aggregate (haven't used it in backups), but RTSCUBE is used to copy time Series (TS) KF data from cube to planning area (SNP or DP).
Are you trying to restore some time series data from your backup cube to the planning area? If yes, then do a mapping of characteristic from cube to planning area in RTSCUBE, and also map the TS KF between cube and planning area.
If your KF is not a time series KF, then you can't copy it from cube to planning area. You could get data to cube for some reporting, otherwise I am not sure what use the backup is for you. For SNP, most of the data would be received from R/3, so there's not much point in having a backup.

iam working in an Implementation project for SCM in BW prcisely working with APO Bw..
For that I have taken historical data as a flat file and loaded it in to the external BW Infocube and its fine...
Second step I have created generate export datasource on topr of BW infocube and replicated in to Bw and used this export datasource as datasource for APO BW Infocube which is inbulit BW System from External Bw..
also I have created tranformations and data is loaded in the BW cube in APO system.Also Included Version charecterstics..
When I try to fed the APO Cube data to planning area Iam gettinga the following warning itsnot an error:
1.Key figure copy: InfoCube - planning area (DP) 01.01.2010 to 31.12.2010-- Successful
*2.No data exists for the selection made (see long text*
Diagnosis:Data could not be loaded from the Cube for the selection you made. Check whether the Cube actually contains data that is relevant for your selection.
For the second point I have time charecterstics filled in the infocube which Iam feding to a Planning area like 0CALMONTH,0CALWEEK,FiscVarnt,0CALMONTH

Hi,
As I understood, you have loaded data from external BW cube to APO BW cube and now loading planning area from APO BW cube.
I hope your settings in /SAPAPO/TSCUBE transaction code would be correct and you have selected the correct planning version with correct cube.
Check if Data in APO BW cube is available for reporting or not and data is avilable for given selction (if any but I guess you are not giving any).

Something I found in a BI thread:
1. The data flow is from BW to APO, and from APO to BW.
from bw to apo, to feed planning area, characteristic value combination, in APO we have infocube to feed the data, as we know APO has BW inside (all the tcodes RSA1 etc are valid), datamart scenario is used here, we create infocube in APO, update rules, infosource and assign datasource from BW.
The data flow from APO to BW, to get the plan data inputted by user, we generate datasource in APO from planning area (compare with 'generate export datasource' from infocube), transaction /SAPAPO/SDP_EXTR. 'extractor technology' here in practice is just like when we are using datasource

2. as mentioned in #1, you can use the transaction /SAPAPO//SAPAPO/SDP_EXTR to handle planning area-datasources in APO, or /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN - planning area; choose your planning area, and menu extractor tools (or generate datasources), again datamart scenario is used here, after the datasource generated in APO, it's replicated in BW (APO act as source system), the rest steps are just same as when extract data from other SAP source system
simply what you need to practice is /SAPAPO/SDP_EXTR to 'generate export datasource',

I believe you need to REPLICATE your data sources after generating them. Have you dione that?

Master/Transaction data from ECC to APO-BW

Hi All,
     Normally we come across scenarios where Master/Transaction data is pulled from ECC to BW and then pulled into APO-BW. What are the pros and cons of CIF (direct connection between ECC and APo-BW) rather than pulling data from ECC to stand-alone BW and then into APO-BW?

For example i want to load say sales orders from ECC.
Can i directly load from ECC --> APO BW Infocube --> DP Keyfigures.

Reserved stock quantity from MB25 t-code in R/3

Hello Guyz
1. I have to extract reserved stock quantity (difference quantity) from t-code MB25 into my Inventory Cube (0IC-C03) in BW.
2. The user has advised me that the movement type is always '301' and the storage loc. is always '9998'. The problem is, in the cube, when I look at that specific movement type and storage location, I still have multiple records divided into 'material doc. numbers'.
3. On the R.3 side, I have the 'Reservation number and its Item' as the key fields.
4. How can I get my partilcuar KF from this t-code in R/3 into my cube in BW?
5. My specific question is: The KF exists at the stor. loc. level.. how can I bring it down further at the material doc number level in the cube?

Very helpful answer Shalini. Thanks. So, I can enhance this extractor 2LIS_03_UM with these 2 fields. Then based on this, I can extract my 'Reserved Quantity' (KF) into 0IC_C03.
But I notice in R/3 that the 'reservation number and item' are the same for multiple document numbers. ie
Doc No.----> Reservation No--
> Item
100                      ABC                                1
101                      ABC                                1
102                      ABC                                1
103                      ABC                                1
104                      ABC                                1
But in MB25, I have
Reservation No -
> Item----
>Diff. Quantity
       ABC                        1                       5000
How can I extract my KF, if there is a one-many relationship between reservation no and item & material doc number?

Delete overlapping requests from cube not working in processchain.

In a process chain, 'deletion of overlapping requests from the cube ' step is used.
Before this step a DTP step runs with a full update to load the cube. This process chain is scheduled every day.
Issue is, the process chain failed at the DTP step and after correcting and repeating, the step got executed.
However, the next step after the DTP,'delete overlapping requests from the cube'
gets executed but without deleting the previous day's request.
In the step details a message that 'No request for deletion were found' can be seen.
Then next day when the DTPstep is executed without any problem the 'delete overlapping requests from cube' step is successful
and the previous requests from cube are deleted.
the deletion selections in the step ' delete overlapping request from infocube' is
Delete existing requests
Conditions:
only delete requests from same DTP
Selections
Same or more comprehensive
Because of this issue on a particular day because of the presence of 2 days requests the data is getting aggregated and shown as double in the reports.
Please help.

Hi Archana,
When you delete the bad request from target and before repeating your DTP in PC, make sure the bad request deleted from table RSBKREQUEST also.
If you find the same request in table, first delete the request from table and repeat the DTP in PC.
Now Delete overlapping step should work.
As this is not the permanent solution, please raise an OSS for SAP

Loading sales from R3 to BW and from BW to APO

I am Suvecha having little bit knowledge in APO. I want to know about the exact sense of "LOADING DATA FROM R/3 TO BW AND BW TO APO". Also clarify me whether it is APO BW or SAP BW. Also send me the exact scenario in real time.

HI Suvecha,
The APO scenario can be of two types. One scenario you may have separate BW system (separate server) and the other scenario is using the internal BW in the APO server itself i.e using the internal BW which is available in APO server.
In either case, the data from R/3 is loaded from R3 to APO by Data sources. The data from R3 is extracted by data sources using extraction structures and uploaded into the BW info cubes. The data data source will have a extraction structure, the fields from the R3 data will be mapped to the fields of data source by extraction structure. The data is extracted from source system i.e. from R3 and then updated into the info cubes by update or target structure (i.e mapping of fields to the key figures and characteristics of info cubes) and update rules ( for mapping source field and target field if any calculation is required it can be made by using some routines).
From the info cubes, it is loaded into APO live-cache (planning area). Hoe this clarifies your query.

Trnasfered plant from Ecc to APO, but location not found

Transfered plant from Ecc to APO, but the location is not available in APO Master data

1.Check the Integration models which you created for the plant
2.go to CFM5 TICK THE PLant on the left side and give the plant in the right side box under plant textbox and Execute
Now u will get a screen on the left side double click on plant and then u will find your plant.
Select the plant and click on the icon of check
now if u find any Integration model and the plant is active then do Intial Transfer for the Integaration model.
otherrwise add the plant in the integration model and do Delta transfer for plants integration model

Delete rows from Cube

Hi,
How can we delete some rows(rows only) from a cube? I can see duplicate data and want to remove them. Please help.

Do you know which are the request IDs with 'duplicate' data? Check them monitor for these 2 request IDs to see when it was loaded. If you are loading deltas to the cube, then normally you should not get duplicate delta...check to see if one of them was loaded as a full load with some selections. You can also see the user ID to find out who did this and if there was a reason to do so.
In the end, if the data is just a double then you should be able to delete the extra request
If you cube is compressed you'll have no chance to figure out from cube duplicate records since they would be aggregated form the compressed data part.
For the part which is not collapsed we would need a program in order to out double records. If you have a characteristic or a combination of chars (excluded the request ID of course) which would uniquely identify a record then the select statement wouldn't be complicated.
The other way, as already suggested, is to analyze the history of the loadings and identify full requests and/or successions of delta+delta repeats posted to this cube. They are some technical tables enabling this kind of analysis, RSREQDONE, RSICCONT, RSSELDONE.
Even finding out the data posted wrongly (by request), you'll need to still have your PSA data in order to correct these postings.
You could identify the records that are duplicated and you identify the PSA that duplicates data (if you still store the PSA data) and change the values of key figures multiplying by -1 and pass the negative values.....the aggregation will make that the values return to the right value......if you dont have the PSA records.....and still you could identify the duplicated records you could create a file wityh the same data and with negative keyfigures and load it....it wikll have the same effect

Export datasource from Cube - PSA shows no data

Hi All,
I need to create an export Datasource from cube.
I right clicked on the cube-> Additional functions-> Export DS and the DS was created.
But when I check the PSA, I see no requests.
But in case of a DSO, we can see all the requests in DSO as requests in the corresponding export Datasource PSA as well.
What am I missing out in case of a cube. Why is there no data in the PSA?

Hi,
But when you make the cube as data source for APO target, PSA won't be exist. PSA is only at first level, it holds source data , i.e ECC Data.
after making export data source, you make connections/transfer rules whatver related APD terms, make it and try to load and see the data is coming right formate or not.

I have a requirement of transferring data from ECC to APO. I am using EXIT_SAPLCMAT_001 fro this purpose. The problem is, I need to transfer the data of a field that is not present in cif_matloc but present in /sapapo/matloc.

The RLT from ECC is in MARC-WZEIT which is transferred to APO in structure /SAPAPO/MATIO field CHKHOR.
May be if you maintain the setting in the profile, you may get the value in RELDT.
