Double sided copies J6450

I cant seem to make my hp printer do double sided copies, any suggestions?

This printer does not have duplex capability in teh ADF. so you cannot do automatic 2 sided copying. it has to be done manually.

I am using a MacBook Pro and am trying to print double sided copies on the HP Deskjet 3054 that came with it. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I am a total MacBook nube and can use any help you may offer! Thank you so much.

How you enable double-sided printing can depend on the applications from whick you wish to print. Example: if I print to my HP PhotoSmart  from Safari, I get this print dialog box:
(Edit: OOPS! Note that I forgot to switch printers when i took the scene-shots, so ignore the "Brother" reference. It's should look the same for your HP.
Note the selection labled "Safari" near the bottom. If I change that form "safari to "Layout: I get this:
Note the option for two-sided printing appears for your selection. If I print from Word, the box is different:
The "Copies & Pages" option can be changed to "Layout" when you click it, again allowing the selection of two-sided printing.
If you tell us what applciaiton is vexing you, we may be able to give better-focused information.

  • Turning Off Double Sided Copies

I need help turning off double sided copies (copy function not the printing function).  On the printer itself, I go into copy settings and find that "Two0Sided" copies is checked off.  I can't uncheck it to return it to single sided copies.  Help!

There should be an arrow, to get more choices to show. Also the checkbox is just showing you the current selected, you change the setting by touch the big icon, not the checkbox. The touch panel is not a high resolution one, so try to touch the checkbox, result in the icon being selected, that's why the setting didn't change. Try find the 1:1 icon and touch that.

  • Printer not prompting when doing double sided copies

According to the manual, my Hp 7645 is supposed to prompt when to place the second original in the feeder when doing double sided copying.  Well, is not.  I've followed all the directions; checked all the settings, but the darn thing will spit out the first copy of the one I'm making and then pull it back in (even when I have put the second original in the feeder) and then spit the copy back out with no double side.  What is going on?  Any ideas?  Thank you for your help.

    Hi @Mariposa29
I can hep you copy 1 sided originals to 2 sided copies. Please place the pages that need to be copied on the document feeder, then in the copy menu be sure to select the 2 sided copy option and choose 1:2.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, thanks.

  • Why do double-sided copies run off the edge when single-sided do not?

    Hi...
I just made a document in Pages that is essentially one big table (or in other words, a spreadsheet without having to purchase Numbers).  When I print it as single-sided, it fits perfectly on the page.  But if I click double-sided, without changing anything else, the left margin runs off the page.  The nature of this is such that I don't really want to significantly reduce the size.  Is there some trick to this, or do I just have to remember to print it one-sided?
    Thanks!

  • Printing double-sided copies

I use a 2012 Macbook and use the USB cord to print to my HP P1102w.  I updated my macbook to the new OSX 10.9 (Maverick), and I see in previous discussions that there is no longer a pop-up window prompting the user to reinsert the paper into the tray for manual two-sided printing.  I opened the toner cover and closed it again, according to the directions given in the forum, and it does work.  However, when 20 of the 40 pages printed, the stack had page 40 on top and then even numbers all the way down.  My question is, how do I insert those pages back into the tray so that the correct numbers appear on the back of the appropriate pages?  In other words, how do I load the printed pages so that page 2 is on the back of page 1, page 4 on 3, etc.?

    Hi @Scooch,
I see by your post that you would like to know how to flip the pages, when printing two-sided. I would like to help you out
    today.
Take the printed stack from the output bin and then insert the stack printed side down into the tray
with the top edge feeding into the product first.
    Have a nice day!
    Thank You.

  • Print A4 as A5 (double sided)?

    Hi
I've got a document with two A4 artboards, which I'm printing double sided on one sheet of paper. Could anyone tell me the easiest way to print it at A5 size, so I'll get two double sided copies per A4 pages?
    Thanks!

Make a pdf and print this from Acrobat. Acrobat has an option to print multiple pages per sheet, under page scaling. I do this all the time for printing manuals and brand standard guides, so I can fit them in my binder with less pages.
For the double sided I cannot answer as every print driver has that menu in a different location. First make sure your hardware is capable of printing double sided, so you dont spend time looking for somehting your printer cannto do. If you have a fiery look for page setup >>fiery options >> double sided or possibly buried somewhere else(pends on your fiery verison/PPD) buried in your print options.

  • Double-sided driver replacement for LaserWriter 8 ?

    Greetings.
I use a nice G4 tower with OS 9.2 in a very PC environment.
Our networked printer is a HP4600dn which does very nice double-sided copies using the PC Windows XP drivers.
The default OS 9 driver according to HP is LaserWriter 8; it works just fine except for the lack of a double-sided option.
Is there another driver which will stimuate double-sided function with my G4?
    Thanks for your time!

Hi, Bruce. When you're using LaserWriter 8, features that are offered by some printers but not all are made accessible by putting the proper PostScript Printer Description (ppd) file in your System Folder>Extensions>Printer Descriptions folder and selecting that ppd when setting up the printer in the Chooser. Do you have the HP Color LaserJet 4600 ppd file properly located in that folder, and have you selected it? If not, you can download the current version of it and other software for the 4600 here.
If you'd like to see whether your results are different using another printer driver instead of LaserWriter 8, download AdobePS 8.7, Adobe's own PostScript Level 2 and 3 printer driver, on which Apple's is based. You will still need the proper ppd file.

  • Faxing double sided documents with HP 6700

OfficeJet 6700 Premium with Win 7 Pro 64 bit.
How can I  fax a group of double sided documents.
Although my printer contains a duplexer, I don't see how to take advantage of this feature when faxing.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

The Officejet 6700 does not have a duplexer in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) that would allow copying or faxing the back side of documents automatically.  For the Officejet 6700 you will need to do one of the following:
Copy the back side, then interleve the copies with the original and feed this through the ADF, or
Load the pages manually on the scanner glass.
If you have many double sided copies to fax or this is a regular occurance you may prefer a printer that has double sided scanning capability in the ADF.  The HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus and HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium are two models I am familar with that have this capability.

  • HP Laserjet P3015 double sided - the last odd page prints on the same page when printing two copies

HP Laserjet P3015 double sided printing is set up on Windows 7.  When printing two copies of a document, if it has odd number of pages, the last page is printed on both sides of the page. There is no page feed for the last page.
Suppose say there are 3 pages in a document and you want to print two copies. It prints like 1/2, 1/2 and 3/3.  The third page (odd number) print on the same page. The last page page does not print on two pages.
It works alright on Windows XP.

Hope that you have configured the correct paper type and size in the printer hardware and also selecting the same paper tray, size, type from the printer driver while printing.
It may be caused due to the job formatting done by the application software or some jobs settings done from the job/application or printer driver.  Check by toggling the 'collate' option and also try to print from a different application software.

  • Can't print double sided in Windows 7 & Officejet J6450

I am running windows 7 Home Premium
I am using Microsoft word 2010
    I have an Officejet J6450 All-in-One
When I try to print double sided from within word, It prints the last page of the document, retrieves the paper, turns it over, spits it out and quits.
This is regardless of the number of pages in the document.
It is set to print all pages.
    Any ideas?

As best I can tell, this printer does not have automatic duplex printing available. You need to print the even pages, turn them upside down and reinsert them and print the odd pages, using Paper Handling in the Print dialog. You may need to print in reverse order when printing the even pages, as I recall. It has been a while since I had a printer without automatic duplexing. It is a feature which I insist upon.

  • How to print double sided with macbook pro on Samsung CLX-3180?

    Hi,
I recently switched to using a macbook pro but cannot figure out how to print double sided/two-sided.
The printer I am using is Samsung CLX-3180 and it allows double-sided printing. I was able to do this with my windows computer previously.
The frustrating thing is that I see the two-sided feature but I cannot figure out how to turn it on. There is no option to change it.
    It is listed here.
First, I go to "show presets."
Then, I click on "copies & pages" but I cannot turn it on.
Does anyone know how to turn it on?
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi nat.the.musical,
If you are having issues selecting two-sided printing from the Print window, you may find the following article helpful (it is aimed at Mountain Lion, but should also apply to Mavericks):
