Double sided printing for canon

how to print double sided printing for canon mp287?

I am having the same problem. I just got a cannon MG2520 and I've been trying to print double sided...however it's not a grayed out option. This is extremely infuriating because I need to print about 50 slides off every few days for class. I've tried everything people have offered so far. There is no "duplex managing" or something to that effect when I go through systems and preferences. I read somewhere else to change format for to the specific printer and use "letter" instead of "US letter." However, US letter isn't even an option for me. I tried to go through preview and it just kept making the slides go the wrong way and wouldn't let me print multiple slides to one pages. As of now I have to manually go through, hit handouts (6 slides per page) and then count what number slides those are in order to print it right....this is extremely frustrating!! Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  • Double sided printing to Canon C2620

    Hi, I have a problem with a couple of documents I am trying to print double sided from Indd. I have chosen double sided printing in the canon settings but it doesn't work. When I check the settings again, it has gone back to double sided 'off'. Is this Indd or the printer? I have tried making sure my master is double sided as it was a single sided document to start. I have also tried a save as which does not work.
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Thanks very much.

    INX - InDesign Interchange format.
    > Export your document to the InDesign Interchange format and then open the exported document.
    This seems to be a pretty good cure-all for a lot of niggling issues (links that can't be deleted, pasteboard size that is too large, to name two). As of build 838 (April 2005) of InDesign CS and the initial release of InDesign CS2, there are no known problems with files exported to the InDesign Interchange format and then reopened in InDesign.
    You are advised against just overwriting your original; instead, keep it as a backup in case your use of this procedure exposes some other weakness yet to be discovered.
    FWIW, I've taken to routinely doing this at the begining of newsletter projects when I basing a new issue on the previoius one.

  • Double sided printing for hp c4385

    I have a MacBook pro running on Mac OS X 10.9.4 and I am currently trying to get my hp c4385 to print double sided and was wondering how I could do that/if it was possible at all?

    Hi @ciballard5
    The C4385 does not have a duplexer. You can manually duplex by printing on odd pages first then flipping the pages and printing even pages on the other side.
    Follow these steps to manually print on both sides of the paper.
    In the software program, click File, and then click Print.
    Select the Printer.
    From the menu, select Paper Handling.
    For Pages to Print, select Odd Only.
    Figure 4: Select Odd Only
    For Page Order, select Automatic.
    Figure 5: Select Automatic
    Change any other desired print settings, and then click Print.
    NOTE:Wait until all of the odd-numbered pages have printed before removing any of the printed pages from the output tray.
    After the odd-numbered pages have printed, reload the paper with the printed side facing up, according to the binding type and orientation selected.
    NOTE:The binding type depends on the way the paper is loaded into the paper tray after the odd numbered pages have printed.
    In the software program, click File, and then click Print.
    From the menu, select Paper Handling.
    For Pages to Print, select Even Only.
    For Page Order, select Automatic.
    Change any other desired print settings, and then click Print.

    I hope this helps.

  • Double sided prints for binding

    I'm trying to print on double sided A4 paper which I intend to bind into a hard cover book. I can't figure some things out:
    1. I read in a post here that Aperture had a print even/odd pages only option, but I can't find it in the print dialog box. I'm using version 2.1.3. Was this feature taken out?
    2. Since I'm going to bind the pages, I need space on the left side for odd pages and space on the right side for even pages. I found margin options for left/right side stapling in the Print Settings dialog, but they don't seem to do anything.
    Help!

    When I did this, I had to export the book as a PDF, open it in Preview and manually rotate ever other page by 180 degrees, but I was using paper which had binding holes and a margin at one end, so you couldn't simply flip each sheet and re-feed it in.

    Steve

  • How do I get my Canon ip400 to do double sided printing on my Mac?

    i have a canon pixma ip4000 printer that can do duplex or double sided printing. it works fine on my pc but my mac wont let me choose the two sided option... ant ideas how to get this to work??

    I have the same printer and this is what you do. Say your in Safari, go to Print and under Orientation there is a box which says Safari and has a drop down arrow. Click on this arrow and from the drop down list select Duplex Printing & Margin, check the box against Automatic Duplex Printing and select any further options as you want. Click Print.

  • How to show the layout option for double-sided printing on Acrobat Pro X on Mac?

    Adobe Acrobat Pro X version 10.0.0 print dialog does not show the option to select Layout for two-sided (double-sided) printing. How to fix it?
    System: Mac OS X 10.6.6 on Mactel
    Thanks.

    David,
    Wow, it worked. Many thanks. This is what I did, following your directions to print PDF files as double-sided:
    01-Command P & Click "Printer button".
    02-Click Yes.
    03-Click the Popup Arrow to display contents.
    04-Select Two-sided "Long-Edge binding" or whatever needed and Click Print.
    05-Click OK to Print.
    What fooled me is that from Word (.doc) files the screen on step 3 and 4 show directly selecting a popup menu on the initial print window, whereas when printing PDF files it is required to go through steps 1-2-3 above.
    Again, many thanks. You made my day!!!

  • How do I use the double sided printing with my HP Officejet 6500A plus

    I need help with learning to use the double sided printing with my HP Officejet 6500A Plus

    Click on the Show Details button just above:
    You can configure various options from the dropdown menu just below Orientation.
    Printing two-sided requires a two-sided adaptor for the printer. Otherwise, you have to print out odd numbered pages first, turn them over and reinsert into the paper feeder, then print even numbered pages. If you do it right you get a nice two-sided document. If you do it wrong all the even numbered pages will be upside down.

  • How can I permanently disable double sided printing in Acrobat Reader 11.0.09?

    It is annoying to have to manually turn off double sided printing every time I print a *.pdf.  Is this fixable?

    Hi prtlaw,
    Are you still look for answer?
    These option are available with printer drivers. So, this is something you need to check from printer http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows/choosing-print-options#1TC=windows-7
    Or change the properties of every document:

    Since updating to 10.10.2, I can't find the double-sided print option on the Print menu (single-sided print and copy have worked fine) for my Epson WF-3640.  I am upgrading again now to 10.10.3 to see if that helps.  Any ideas?

  • 7410 double sided printing

    Well here I am again with printing problems.
    I have a Mac Book Pro using OS 10.9.5, Mavericks. I managed to resolve my Print/Scan problem with Shlomil's help. Also, he helped me some time ago with a double sided printing problem. Now I find I have the same double sided printing problem but am unable to follow his advice (which fixed the problem last time)....
    Now, The two sided printing box does not appear on the print drop down menu! So, I went on to the following (using the last advice Shlomil provided)...
    "1. Verify the duplex-printing accessory has been installed properly. To verify this open the System Preferences and go to Printers & Scanners. Open the print queue of your printer. Click on Printer Setup and from the tab menu choose Driver. Verify the box next to HP Two-sided Printing Accessory (Duplexer) is checked."
    However, when I select the "Open Print Queue" there is no "Printer Setup" on the tab menu. So, I can't verify the "HP Two-sided Printing Accessory (Duplexer) is checked " (unless I'm doing something wrong). I  and went on to #2.
    2. On the File menu, select Print. The Print window appears.
    NOTE: The Print window might be minimized. Click on Show Deatils to see all available settings.
    3. In the expanded Print window you will find next to Copies the checkbox for Two-Sided. Check the box.
    NOTE: If the checkbox does not appear within the specific application print dialog, skip this step.
    I skipped the above step since the two sided printing box does not appear on the print drop down Menu (and no expanded print window available).
    I  went on to #4.
    4. To select the binding type click the lowest selection box listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
    Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.
    5. Select Layout from the drop-down menu.
    6. Set the Two-Sided option as Long-Edge binding (Portrait), or Long-Edge binding (landscape).
    Now, I don't show a "binding type" In the Layout" selection in the drop-down menu, etc.
    Shlomil suggested if this didn't work to reset the printing system. I'm really scared to do that because I have 3 printers and a scanner in different locations. When I selected the reset printing system the drop down said it would delete everything...all printers, scanners, faxes, etc.
     Is there any other less severe solution? I'm stumped! This all worked before (two sided printing, print/scan). The only thing I can think of is when I correct permissions or update to a newer OS.
    Please HELP!
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Well...I can't believe it!  Please disregard my ramblings.
    I mucked around in the printer stuff and in System Preferences "Printers & Scanners", selected "Options & Supplies"  rather than the "Open Print Queue" and then selected "Options". The  "HP Two-sided Printing Accessory (Duplex)" box was located there. It was not checked. Although I don't know how it got unchecked, I checked it and it fixed my problems.
    Thanks Again

  • HP Laserjet 1300 Manual Double Sided Printing with Windows 7

    I just purchased a new laptop with windows 7, love the interface but have some hiccups here and there.  And the one that is the biggest pain is printing.  I have a HP Laserjet 1300 connected via a linksys print server.  Single sided printing works just fine, but I used to be able to (and still can from my work laptop running XP and from my wifes Laptop running Vista Home) print double sided manually.  But now even though it says duplex, it will not work and I think the Windows Driver believes that it is a duplexer attached to the printer verses a manual feature.  Any ideas on how to get my manual double sided printing back?

    Nice one...
    I found you can also modify the "Manual Duplex Help" section to provide instructions to the user while duplex printing :
    The following prn_grp displays pictures similar to the Laserjet 1300 and has the right procedure (take the printed pages and place them in the same orientation in the tray) :
    <prn_grp models="HP LaserJet 1300;HP LASERJET 1300N;c5c5f890996e5fc5d7ffd96f8c759f2d ;555a2593970cf8b77ec5e1c722373e36 ;065e3643626aa153eb624120e21031cc ;5541b14acbc6bb39fefc0967181142e0 ;e6885ab28dbc6e127ae4963acf4d8ccc ;8f6b80f605bb593212acd699c0516d06 ;1d9e0f01c72b2d0001e58751826b42ac ;f77381023eb218bd6c75fbb5cd55337e ;8da5efe243e316c3fbd7ccd09d330f48 ;60caa8832f86a2502a3e4f31c6aa82f5 ;d1eb75d092f98ee058366d6d32b1c5d1 ;acb248ba464fba4feeac598ee070e4da;25b289c5a1af52c4c30c70e60d6a5486;

    <option name="InstructionID_03_FACEDOWN-NOROTATE" value="BitmapID_231_StringID_3065"/>
    </fname>
    </prn_grp>
    More importantly, I was also able to modify the hpcu1306.xml file to enable full 1200 dpi support, by adding the following prn_grp at the end of the "Print Quality" section (after the hp LaserJet 9040 prn_grp and before the closing "</feature>")
    <prn_grp models="HP LaserJet 1300;HP LASERJET 1300N;">
    <fname name="PrintQualityGroup" default="PQGroup_4">
    <option name="PQGroup_2"/>
    <option name="PQGroup_4"/>
    <option name="PQGroup_5"/>
    </fname>
    </prn_grp>
    NB : PQGroup_2 is for 600 dpi, PQGroup_4 is for FastRes 1200 dpi (fast) and PQGroup_5 is for ProRes 1200 dpi (finer, slower, more memory used).
    The modified hpcu1306.xml file is available here : http://pastebin.com/6UxtcSaZ

    I recently had to upgrade to a new computer with Windows 8.1 and after downloading the driver for my old HP Officejet 7410 All in One WITH the double sided printing attachment, I cannot get it to print on both sides automatically, as in the printer setup there is only "print one page" or manually print double sided.  I continue to get the manual print instructions to turn the pages over.  I have downloaded the driver twice and cannot find an option for the double sided driver.  The printer still prints double sided automatically with the other old computer i have.
       Help ~ wanting to print double sided!

    I have the same problem.  I have the HP Officejet 7410 that supports automatic double sided printing.  I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1.  I installed the most recent software and drivers from the HP support site.  But automatic double sided printing is no longer an option.  What's up with that HP?  How about a fix?
