Double Song Entries?

I seem to have "double" song entries on non itunes purchased music? before buying a new laptop to moved all my music to an external hard drive, then moved it onto the new laptop...then I downloaded itunes and noticed double song entries...what did I do wrong?

Out of curiosity, do these songs appear in different play lists or albums? One thing that I have discovered, much to my irritation is that iTunes will not simply move a file from one location to another. It copies the file, and then the user must take the extra step of deleting the file from its original location, if necessary. I believe, and am willing to stand corrected on this by more experienced iTunes users, that your downloaded files from iTunes are especially "tagged" and therefore much more difficult to duplicate and/or move from one location to another, since your user license grants only one instance/location for each file. Not so with other music (eg: the items you place into iTunes from other sources).
Perhaps this will help...or may be partially/completely incorrect....

sorry for the late reply.
For the FI check, there is no specific setup. Only thing you need is to set the corresponding flag in the vendor master (company code view). Then, if the prerequsites are met (see below), a warning message will appear.
How the check is working in FI? (ie., FB01, FB60 or similar, NOT logistics invoice verification, for LIV, see below):
1. Is this a vendor line (account type K)?
2. Is the flag set in the vendor master?
3. Is the line item sales relevant (based on the posting key, e.g., 31 is sales relevant, 25 is not)
4. Is this a normal document? (not recurring, parked, clearing, sample doc)
5. Do we know the document currency?
6. Do we know the document date?
7. Is the amount in document currency <> 0?
If the answer to all of the above was YES, then the check is carried out. What is actually checked, is table BSIP. Every time when you post a document meeting the above criteria, BSIP will be updated. Next time the BSIP entries are checked.
And here the checking rules:
IF the reference field (BKPF-XBLNR) is filled in, then the message is issued when there is a BSIP record already with the same:
- company code
- vendor number
- document date
- reference
- document date
- D/C indicator
IF the reference field is NOT filled in, in addition to the above, the amount in document currency is also checked in BSIP, so that field must match too in order to get the message.
The message is F5 117 and the type can be changed in customizing (view V_T100C) as usual for customizable messages.
The above list also answers another question in this thread: NO, it is not possible to check it cross company code. I.e. if you have entered an invoice for company code A, then you can enter the very same invoice for company code B, there will be no message at all. You need to create some validations (transaction OB28) to achieve this. The standard check is working within the same company code only, see the list above.
Now, that was the pure FI thing, how about Logistics Invoice verification (MIRO, etc.). Here, you have some more configuration options. The function module called here is MRM_FI_DOCUMENT_CHECK.
The check in Logistics Invoice Verification is carried out only if the below criteria are met:
1. Reference field is filled in (!!!!! extremely important!!!!)
2. This is an invoice (and not a credit memo... see RBKP-XRECH must be X)
3. The vendor number is known
4. The flag is set in the vendor master (company code view).
The check is made against BSIP again, but WHAT exactly is checked, i.e., which fields must match, is customizable. In table T169P, you can tell the system which fields you want to consider as indicators for a double invoice entry. You can choose from: Reference, Company code, Document date.
Here is part 2 of the answer to the previous question: YES, Logistics Invoice Verification can be set up in a way that invioces are checked cross-company code. If you do NOT mark the field company code, than this field is not checked, and the same invoice cannot be entered for 2 different company codes.
First, the system tries to find a BSIP record with the same values in the fields below:
- Vendor number
- Document currency
- Amount in document currency (this only if Reference is NOT ticked in table T169P)
- Company code (only if ticked in T169P)
- Document date (only if ticked in T169P)
- Reference (only if ticked in T169P)
If there was a BSIP entry found, message M8 108 will appear as a warning. Again, you can change the msg type to error if you like (user-specific).
Also, Logistics Invocie Verification can be a 2-step procedure: first, the invoice creation (entry in table RBKP) and second, the posting of this invoice to Accounting (entry in table BKPF). In most cases, this happens in the very same moment when you press Save in MIRO, but it could be also set up in your company that you do these 2 steps separately.
That's why after the posted invoices (BSIP) were checked, the system tries to check the invoices not yet posted to Accounting (invoice document status is "Not yet posted"). This is to make sure an entered but not yet posted invoice is also checked early enough. Basically the same fields as above are checked, but the message is a different one: M8 642. Default type is warning, changeable to Error if you like.

Whats the quickest way to remove duplcate song entries?

Is there a quicker way to remove duplicate song entries in itunes? Also, sometimes when I went to remove them manually then play them later itunes said it could not find the original file of the song that I left??? Any/all help is greatly appreciated, cheers Paul

How do I remove the double calendar entries after upgrading to ios5?

Upgraded to ios5 today on an iPhone 4. I'm now getting double calendar entries. It's not carrying over to my Mac though. Any ideas how to rid my phone of them? Thanks!

I was having the same problem and even started deleting some of the double entries. I went into the "calendars" tab on the top left of the screen inside the calendar app and found that the appointments from my Mac calendars were being displayed along with (scroll down) all the appointments from the iCloud calendars (which are a mirror or backup of the appointments from my Mac). I turned-off the iCloud calendars and the problem was fixed. I guess if I am coordinating appointments from several devices (iPhone and iPad or several family iPhones) I would just leave the iCloud calendars on and turn off my Mac calendars. Otherwise, I'm not sure what's happening here. Any other ideas?

I found that, you have entered the Condition Type EDI2 at Item level, which is wrong.
EDI2 compares the overall item value, that means, Price for each item multipied by number of units.
Suppose, in the order, you have 10 pieces of material M1 (Rs.100/- per piece price). Then the overall item value is 10x100= Rs.1000/-.
EDI2 compares this overall item value. So , you need to enter EDI2 at the Header level of the document. If the difference is more than 1 currecncy unit (in this example, Rs.1/-), then , when you will save the order, system will give the pop up that the document is incomplete.
In the above example, suppose, you enter, EDI2 at Header level as Rs.997/-.
Now, the difference is Rs.1000 - Rs.997 = Rs.3, which is more than the allowed deviation by EDI2 (i.e, maximum Rs.1/- only).
When you will save the order, system will mark this document as incomplete.
EDI2 compares the overall item value and accepts a maximum deviation of 1 currency unit and this is guided by the "formula 8 "assigned to EDI2 in the Pricing Procedure, in the "Alt cal type" field.
So, ensure that, Formula 8 has been assigned to EDI2 in the Pricing procedure.
If you want to enter the Customer expected price for an item, then you have got another condition type EDI1, which you can enter at item level. EDI1 compares each item value and accepts for a maximum deviation of 0.5 currency unit (in our example 5 paise maximum). If the deviation is more than this allowed limit, then system will mark the document (order) as incomplete when you save it.
This is guided by "Formule 9" assigned to EDI1 in the Pricing Procedure.

I have the same problem. Now the entries are not just double, I have them four times. It looks like it is just about the full day events like birthdays. I think it is may be caused by my previous phone. All the double entries are old ones. I had an "HTC touch cruise" (totally crap) and transferred all my data to outlook an then to my iPhone. All the entries are marked with four different colors and it tells me that I have a lot of different calanders. But I have never created them.
Please, can anyone help? Imagine you have a day when three friends have birthday, my phone will send me 12 notification. :-(

Double calendar entries on BB 8310 after sync

I want to sync my BB to my office and home PCs. When I do a 2 way sync I get the double calendar entries. Can anyone pleeeze help me correct this problem? v4.6 BB Manager/v4.5 onBB 8310

Go to Options>Device>Advanced System Settings>Default Services. The calendar (CICAL) setting needs to be set to the e-mail address/calendar you wish to sync with on your PC.
You might need to change this setting, then delete all your calendar entries on the device and start from scratch to get it all resolved.
Also, make sure you have the sync set to do a two-way sync in Desktop Manager.

PC Suite - Double Calendar entries after canceled ...

I'm doing synchronisation beteen Nokia 6151 and Outlook 2007 via Bluetooth.
The problem has occured with all previous versions of PC Suite.
When the synchronisation is interruppted (e.g. when I'm moving away with my phone away) I get double entries in Outlook and the phone. In Outlook there is a additional space always on the same position. In the phone there is no space. Seems that it occurs just with entries that are containing the German letters ä,ö,ü or some other special characters.

I guess the problem happens when I leave Bluetooth range during synchronisation. Only with calendar entries that contain special characters

I had been deleting some of the double songs that are on I-tunes and suddenly all but three of my bob dylan albums collection dissapeared . . can i get them back ? if i can ,how do i ?

I am assuming you never backed up your computer.

Why do i have duplicate songs in most of my albums? using iTunes match, use computer to charge phone, it must have synced now have double songs

I think when i was charging my iphone and syncing iphoto, itunes synced. i never check the box that says "synce itunes when iphone connected' but this box somehow was checked. now i have double music, taking up a lot of space. Having to manually remove all the duplicate songs. this is the third time this has happened. I do not have the time to sit and manually do this. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and is there an easier fix? could turn off itunes match and turn it back on again, but then have to redownload my music individually, which is also time consuming.

I had the exact same issue!! Seriously p*ssed me off when I checked out my ITunes purchased items (via my computer) and noticed that most of the additional tracks listed on my IPhone playlist was listed there too. However, I never authorized any purchases!! (I have actually written Apple Support asking for a full refund of all tracks listed on my purchased list)
Be careful when you swipe your finger to the left/right on those "additional" tracks on your IPhone playlist... I'm pretty sure that the cloud symbol is an option to download or automatically buy those tracks.
Solution for the problem:
1 - go to your IPhone settings
2 - choose "iTunes & App Store"
3 - go to "Show All" & "Music"
4 - turn off "Music" by moving the bar to the left (it should be a white color once you turn it off)

SQL Developer: Windows 7 64-bits double numerical entries

I am using sql developer windows 7 64-bits version 64-3.2.20.09.87-no-jre.
I am entering data directly on tables.
Sometimes when I use numeric pad to enter numbers, double entries appears on the first digit.
For example: entering 1234
it appears 11234 - with first numeric entry appearing twice.
This also happens with the past versions, different notebook brands.
How do I solve this problem?

SQL Developer is just a client. Clients do NOT have to be exactly version matched to a database. I am running SQLDeveloper 3.2 on a Win 7 Pro 64-bit desktop and my databases are a mix of 10.2.0.4 and 11.2

Seeing double & triple entries in iTunes TV Store

For some reason today, I'm seeing double and sometimes triple entries for episodes in the TV shows section of the iTunes store. For instance, on the show Damages, I see "1 Pilot" repeated three times and "2 Episode #0101" repeated twice. That's a total of five entries in the list but only represents two actual episodes.
I'm seeing the same thing in virtually every other TV show I look at. Grey's Anatomy Season 1, for instance, is doubled with 18 entries for the 9 actual episodes... each one listed two at a time.

Possible to exclude double songs in smart playlist?

I made a smart playlist based on a category. However the list contains a lot of times the same song. Is it possible to automatically exclude doubles that will be added by itself during time?

I have about 600 songs that I have put in the genre of "chrismas" I have also rated them. I created a smart playlist in iTunes for 4 stars and up tunes within the christmas genre. From that in iTunes I get about 500 songs in that smart playlist (I like christmas songs). I sync it with the iPod. When I go to that smart playlist I get about 166 songs not the 500 that shows up in my iTunes.
Now I did discover one more thing today. I like to play my playlists in shuffle song mode. That is where I see this problem. Well today I turned that off and.... the 500 songs are shown ( what I mean by this is when a tune is playing you get the message that this is " 1 of 500. Same playlist in shuffle mode I get "1 of 166"
