Double underline blue text

Dear Friends,
This time I have a similar problem. I am facing 1) double underline blue text 2) adds when I use google as shown in pic below and 3) on every click there open a new tab with some wired advertisement. Sometimes its so hard to work since every click on a website opens unwanted advertisement tab. this thing started when I download google chrome and Skype. I need your help plz guide. My mac's speed is also getting slower.

There are a few things out there you may have downloaded & installed
which could have caused this to occur; there are Adware products that
can contaminate your browser and/or OS X function, to do that. And,

POP-UP AD ISSUES whenever I access a new Safari page/tab. The usual blue links have turned green with a double underline. Safari is now annoying the S**T out of me, please help.

Was trying to download a torrent app and somehow accidentally installed an app that allows pop up windows to appear whenever I open a new window or tab in Safari. The usual blue links have all turned green with a double underline and whenever I hover nearby them, ads relevant to the words of the link pop up. Whenever I look at online stores like Mr. Porter, there are pop up icons saying "MORE" that link to supposedly similar products. Can anyone help me remove this problem? I've updated to the latest Mavericks, hence Safari was updated, I've deleted the app that I thought was the issue, I've disabled cookies and pop ups and I've also increased my firewall security, but to no avail. With my minimal knowledge of anything other than the day to day running of my laptop, I'm not really sure what's going on here....

How do you double underline in pages 5.2

I am not able to find how to double underline in the pages update 5.2 Making documents previously I was able to select a colour for text then single or double underline in a different colour. It seems now that there is only the option of text and single underline in the same colour. I've been producing Primary Student Workbooks for approx. 5 years and these are "key" tools the student uses. Continuity in creating additional books is very important.

Problem with italicizing/underlining/bolding text

When I'm typing notes, press enter and attempt to start a new line with italicized/underlined/bolded text, it's very unreliable. Sometimes it works, most times it does not. The format tab in the bar at the top will briefly flash blue, but nothing happens. I've dealt with the same problem in Pages, and in both iWork '09 and the latest version. I always wind up having to type some text first, then go back and do whatever I want with the formatting, which is a significant waste of time and a major annoyance. Am I doing something wrong or is this just a case of terrible software design on Apple's part?

How do I double underline a cell in Numbers

Ummm, the heading is pretty much my question.

The only way(s) I can think of are:
- underline the text in the cell with a double underline. You can open the text panel by using the menu item "format > Font > Show Fonts":
- make a narrow row below the row rou want to have a double underline and format so the top and bottom borders are a solid line:

In chrome I'm getting green double underline hyperlinks to ads. How can I get rid of this without adding more junk to the computer?

I have both safari and chrome, because I'm used to chrome. The only extension I have is Google docs. I started getting green double underline hyperlinks to ads. How can I get rid of this without adding more junk to the computer? People suggest programs to do it, but how do I know they won't make it worse?

You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan. Remove it as follows.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. These instructions are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Step 1
From the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
Step 2
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
          Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "com.vsearch.agent.plist" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.

The problem may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Internet criminal behind VSearch has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

I am getting double underlined words which make popups. This is new.

Double underlined words appear in the text of articles. When passing the mouse over the word, it pops up a little window which says "You've just won an IPad!" This is a new problem. I have gone to my control panel to see if there is anything I can uninstall. Not seeing anything revealing. Can you help?

Using the double underline in numbers

I want to use the double underline in each cell along the bottom of the first row. This gives the effect that each column is separate. The lines do not go all the way through to the next cell. They also leave a little space on each side, in each cell. I used to do this in Excel. Does anyone know how to do this in Numbers?

It was not clear whether you were describing what you wanted or describing what you were able to achieve. There is no double underline cell border in Numbers so I will assume you were using the double underline text format that Jerry described and it was not giving you the result you desired. But, because there is no double underline cell border in Numbers, you won't be able to get the effect you desire by using cell borders. The best I can suggest is to do one of the following:
1) Use a thick single line border (my recommendation)
2) Use a single line border and draw a line (insert/shape/line) across the table to simulate a double line border
3) Forget using borders and draw two lines across your table to simulate the double line border.

Single and Double Underlines When Showing Cross Tab Data

Hi,
I am trying to generate an XML Publisher rtf report in which I need to show the cross tab data which is in number format underlined and totals as double underlined. Is there a way to do that;
I am using XML Publisher 5.6.2 version , Build 45 and I am trying to manage this on Windows XP, Excel 2003 environments.

Can you generate a crosstab that looks like you want to show in the Template Builder for Word?
It should generate a separate line - but 5.6.2 is so long ago, I don't remember what the pivot table
wizard did at this time.
Unfortunatley, we do support for text only single underlines - border can have double lines.

Double underline using SQR

I am trying to do double underline for SQR report, tried double equals its not bold like regular underline and i tried to do
two underline but the spacing between two lines are large here is the code

Why do I have blue text where white text should be?

A few websites I go to have blue text where white text should be. I looked at other threads and tired what people suggested, but nothing worked. I tired doing it on Google Chrome same thing happens but when I did it on Internet Explorer the text appeared white and normal.

Double-click on text in dialog programming

Hi,
I have a screen on which I have created a TEXT button and I want to respond it to double click event.
I have selected the attribute 'Respond to Double click' and in the GUI status under F2 put the code 'PICK' and changed in the PAI logic of the program to process certain steps if 'ok-code = 'PICK'.
and it is working fine, when I double click the text button, the ok_code is 'PICK' and the req. steps are carried out. But the problem is, when I single click on the text button also, ok_code is becoming 'PICK' and the same steps are carried out. I want the text button to respond only to double click event not single click.
Pls. let me know how do I achieve it.

Hi Priya,
To best of my knowledge it is not responding to double click, it it responding to your first click only, then you continue clicking the second time by that time the control goes back to application server withinn which time no user actions are accepted until the control passes back to the presentaion server.
that is why we can not distinguish between single and double click.
try double clicking on SE38 DISPALY or CHANGE Buttons they also respond and it will not give you a message saying DON'T DOUBLE CLICK ME etc.
this is to best of my knowledge.

How can I disable Notification Centre in IOS5 and go back to getting the big blue text message notifications?

I have Iphone 4S on iOS 5
I flicked the button in settings to set up Notification Centre, but now I want to disable Notification Centre as the text notification is nowhere near as good as the old 'big blue' text received box.
1- where do I find button to DISABLE Notification Centre? (I can't find one)
2- how do I revert back to the old big blue box text notification?

I've tried literally every option available in "Notifications" to get back the big blue box, but it seems that every option I choose nothing really changes.
The messages continue to come up with the small box, green Message icon, and the name and Text Message beneath.
Is there no other way, or some sort of trick, to get the blue box back?
