Doubt about idoc meta data

hi this is seshagiri. i have one doubt while in sending idoc to xi server in the idoc to file scenario, can we do with out configuring metadata in idx2.
if can we do means wat is the procedure.
please clarify me
thans & regards
giri

Hi Sesha giri,
If you are dealing with Idoc to File Scenario...you need to create
1) RFC Destination in R/3 pointing to XI.
2) Ports in R/3.
3) PartnerProfiles
we need to send idoc from R/3...so we have to do ALE configuration.
Please see the below link for more details.

Hope I am clear.
Please let me know if you have any queries...!
Thanks and Regards,

  • IDoc meta data not getting imported

    Hello
I am trying to get IDoc meta-data using transaction IDX2. I have configued RFC destinations of type R3 in both the systems (ECC and XI). Also I have created port using transaction IDX1.
When tried to import MATMAS04 using the defined port it gives Information box displaying "I::000" and nothing happens. The information box does'nt contain any message.
Anybody faced this problem with IDoc?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards

    Hi,
actually it was authorization problem which I noticed when I checked the short dump in ECC.
    anyways thanks for the reply.

  • Loading IDOC meta data into Xi not working

    Hello,
I'm trying to load IDOC meta data using trx IDX2 but the program is not able to recognize the port "SAPRD1_222" I previously defined in trx IDX1.
Any ideas, what Im missing here?

  • IDOC meta data

    Hi All,
I am trying a file-idoc scenario. I have imported the IDOC in IR and done with the mappings. I have created a RFC destination to R/3 server of type 3. Also I have created a port in IDX1 with the created RFC destination.
In IDX2 I cant find the meta data for my imported IDOC. Should I do it manually? If so how?
    Thanks & Regards,

Have a look into these !!!

  • Idoc meta data does not come up in trx idx2

    Hi there,
Im importing IDOC meta data into XI (using trx idx2) from a CRM 4.0 idoc basic type CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE_M02.
No idoc meta data is imported, instead the transaction is giving me back an information message: I::0000
When I click on the pop-up window, the description provided is only: "Message no.000"
Does anyone knows what this message really means?
SLD setup is ok, RFC connections are also ok, IDOC port seems also to be OK.
    Any feedback is appreciated,
    Rob.

    Noriko,
this error is authorization related. There are a couple of function groups which are called in the target system and the user in the RFC Destination to the target system might not have sufficient authorization. Just look into transaction SU53 in the target and select the user used in the RFC destination. This should show you the failed authorization checks.
Also SAP Note 940313 some hints on what you can check for this error.
    Regards
    Christine

  • Unable to delete IDoc meta data

    Hi,
When I'm trying to load the IDoc meta data from IDX2 it is telling first delete the old one and then reload. But, the problem is we are unable to see the already existing IDoc meta data.
Can some one suggest how to see meta data all the loaded IDocs.
    Regards,
    Jeevan.

    Hi Jeevan,
You may be checking for the IDoc meta data in the wrong port.
Make sure that you are looking in the correct port.
    >>Can some one suggest how to see meta data all the loaded IDocs.
    1. In IDX2 expand the Port that you are trying to import the IDoc.
    2. Locate the IDoc type in that port and hit Delete.
    Thanks
    SaNv...

    Hi Nani,
go to transaction IDX2 and try to download
the metadata manually to see if there are
    any errors over there
you can also find the same approach
(loading, reloading and comparing metadata) in my book:

  • IDoc meta data load problem in IDX2

I have been trying to load meta deta for some idocs and am getting message 'Basic type <idoc_type> is unknown'. Interesting to note is that I could load ECMMAS01 idoc type but other idoc types like MATMAS01 ..04, ORDERS01 ...04, DOCUMENT_LOAD01 ... and many others that I tried, I got the same message. The config has been done in IDX1 and IDX2 (that's how I got the ECMMAS01 in).
There is an OSS note '0000751839 IDoc Adapter: Basic type 'XYZ' is unknown.  ' It seems we are already on that patch level. Can't verify if the note has been really applied or not for authorization issues for now. The note also mentions about a workaround to set the category level to '0' (i.e. blank) in the Integration server configuration. But that doesn't seem to help either.
Anyone else had this problem and resolved it?
    Harshad

Problem stands resolved. I realized that the RFC destination in XI for the R/3 system had a problem. What still is not answered is how come I was able to import ECMMAS01?!?! One explanation could be that the RFC connection was ok then. Don't know, but I am happy that it works now.

  • About Adapter meta data

In IR Adapter objects are there, in that what is the Adapter Metadata ?
At what time it is useful ?
Edited by: Venkataramesh B on Feb 19, 2008 10:17 PM

    Hi,
Metadata defines the part of a communication channel that is specific to the adapter type. The functions for creating and editing adapter metadata are intended for parties developing new adapters. It is a data about the data.
Its used for following the user interface in ID and save the configuration data in the database. The adapter metadata is an XML document.
In the adapter metadata schema, a differentiation is made between the sender/inbound direction and the receiver/outbound direction.
A sender adapter sends from the connected system to XI, a receiver adapter receives from XI for the connected system. The view is always that as seen from the connected system.

  • Doubt about IDOC Adapter

    Hi all,
i'm using idoc adapter for generating IDOCS from R/3, and my scenario is: IDOC->XI->File. this is working fine, in R/3 i've got partner profiles for diferent vendors(suppliers) and they are configured for create idoc message in R/3 and all this message are caught by XI from my scenario and generate the corresponding text file.
but now suppose that I need another scenario because i need to send purchase orders by mail instead file to some of my vendors in R/3. the scenario would be IDOC->XI->Mail.
for both cases i would use ORDERS05.
i can't undertand how XI knows wich scenario have to use, if there's nothing from R/3 that tells XI which scenario should be used.
    thanks, Fabian.

Thanks for responses, I know what should i use to do what i wanted. but i've tried to make a condition in the receiver determination and it's giving me an error saying that 'No receiver could be determined'.
i've searched in other threads and i have seen that utilizes xpath to make conditions
what i have done is add a condition in Configured Receivers as  '/p1:ZORDERS2/IDOC/EDI_DC40/RCVPRN = 0000010598'
because depending on the partner, i want to use either one or other adapter (file or mail)
    do i have misedd something?

    Hi,
    I am just replying that..
Just go to Tcode SM59 in XI system and then go to RFC connections and then check for the RFC destinations created for the R/3 system. And then click on that will lead into different screen. Then click on Test Connection tab. If it is successfully connecting to R/3 system, then RFC destination is correct.

  • Issue loading Meta Data for IDoc Type WPUKSR01 in XI Integration Repository

    Hi,
I want to load the Meta Data for IDoc Type WPUKSR01 in XI Integration Repository out of BI. Unfortunately, this IDoc is not available in the IDoc List. I checked in BI and the IDoc Type is available in WE60 and WE30. Also, I can load the Meta Data for the Idoc in XI ABAP (IDX2).
Can someone tell me why the IDoc doesn't show up in XI Integration Repository Import Object List?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards.
    Alex

    Hi Aamir,
The Idoc is released since Release 30A. I also tried to load the IDoc Meta Data from ERP with the same result: it does not show up in the list.
    Thanks anyway.

  • Question about meta-data of Web Dynpro ABAP / Web Dynpro Java

    Hello together,
everywhere I can read, that Web Dynpro meta-data is platform independent.
I´ve read into a book, that the meta-data of Web Dynpro Java is saved as XML and
that Web-Dynpro Java Runtime generates runnable classes and sourcecode out of this...
    - What about Web-Dynpro ABAP? Is Meta-code in ABAP is saved in XML too?
    - just for theory: is ist possible to take the meta-data of a Web-Dynpro ABAP component and
generate a Web-Dynpro Java Component out of this?
I tried to find it out but i failed... In table WDR_RR_LOAD (is this the right one?) I found only the
field data. But this is a RAWSTRING and I don´t know how to make I "readable".
I must know this for my thesis for my studies, not for work.
    Thank you very much !!!!
    Greetings,
    Oliver

    Me again,
I am not sure if I understood it right...
The meta-data which describes the visual part of a view is saved as XML and
would be rendered i.e. in the webbrowser... Right?
What about the meta-data of the Web Dynpro application?
Is this meta-code into an other structure or XML too?
    Thank you very much.
    Many Greetings,
    Oliver

  • Adaptor meta data &mapping templtes

4.describe about sap xi 3.0 like SP's what are types
    5.about content
pls give details mentioned above .
    thanks & regards

    >>1. explain about adaptor meta data &mapping templtes what does use with them?
Adapter Metadata is the foundation configuration for the Adapters used in XI for message transfer. The functions provided allow either the creation of new Adapters or the modifications of existing ones.
Just like you can reuse data types in different message types, you can also save parts of message mappings as Mapping Templates and reuse them elsewhere. Once you have saved a mapping template it serves as a copy template that you can then load into other message mappings and modify to fit your requirements.
    >>2.what is exchange fault data and exchange log data under data types
Fault message types contain data types defining application errors. Application errors are errors that occur on the inbound side of a message transfer when the application could not process successfully.
    >>3.what are web as apart from 6.2 and 6.4?
The Web Application Server is a platform for efficient development and allows you to implement Web applications. It builds upon proven and stable application server
technology and Internet-based infrastructure from SAP.
    >>4.describe about sap xi 3.0 like SP's what are types
    check http://service.sap.com
    >>5.about content
The contents of the Integration Repository are collectively known as XI Content (Process Integration Content); XI content is the integration knowledge that is required for describing collaborative processes (collaboration knowledge).
For an overview of the XI Content currently provided by SAP, see SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/solutions  -> SAP NetWeaver  ->  SAP NetWeaver in Detail  ->  Process Integration  ->  SAP Exchange Infrastructure  ->  SAP XI in Detail  -> XI Content Catalog.

  • The meta data is updated externally on my window home server

When I moved all my images from a Netgear NAS to my new fileserver running Windows Home Server 2011, LR complains about that meta data is externally updated.
This causes problem for me because I prefer to write XMP to the photos. LR do not write XMP when meta data is externally updated. I must do this manually.
Is there a solution for this? I think I have to turn som process of in my Windows home server, but don't know which.
    Cheers Daniel

hey jessicats86, please enter '''about:config''' into the locationbar of the browser (you might have to confirm the info message in case it shows up) and search for the preferences named '''browser.download.dir''' & '''browser.download.lastDir'''. right-click each of them and reset the value to the default. then restart firefox and try to set the download folder again in the options panel.
