Doubt in creating an material???

Hi,
Am not sure ..IF what i thought was right...plz correct me if am wrg.
In the 1stage of an production order an product is created, which is used an a raw material for 2nd stage of the same order. since I need to operate this 1st stage result product in containers. is it possible that i can create or define it as kanban material??
If so , how do i move . or i mean pack it, to move it to storage location after the 1st stage of production is over ? is the normal Goods movement do be enough to accomplish it??
Plz reply
Thank in advance,
Diana

Hello Diana,
<b>is it possible that i can create or define it as kanban material??</b>
Yes, you can define that as Kanban material which will be used as raw material for second stage.
<b>If so , how do i move . or i mean pack it, to move it to storage location after the 1st stage of production is over ? is the normal Goods movement do be enough to accomplish it??</b>
For the second stage when you create the kanban request, it will create the transfer requirement for raw material from stage one, and you need to replinish/stage it using the LP10/LB10 transaction. This is standard functionality.
Hope this helps.

  • Cost center doubt in Itemization of Material Cost Estimate

    Hi,
I have one doubt. I creating a material cost estimate of a header material.A new overhead rate ZCDD has been maintained in the costing sheet. An existing crdit key ZC9 has been assigned to the overhead rate ZCDD. The cost element and cost center row has been added in the credit key.
When I run the material cost estimate, the cost element it is coming, but the cost center it is picking is not the one which has been maintained in the credit key.
Can you please clarify my doubt, I am stuck up on this. Please let me know if you need any more information roe clarifications.
    Thank you very much.

    Hi Rau,
    Thanks for the reply.
Can u tell me, is it mandatory to have only one to one Cost Center-Cost element mapping in a Credit Key?
I mean to say is it like that we can assign a cost element of a credit key only to one cost center?
    Thanks,

  • Creating New Material Type

    Hi,
While creating new material types what things should be taken in to consideration?
If i want to create it by using copy function which ref. material type we should select and why?.e.g. ZSCRAP- Scrap Material

    Dear Ashutosh ,
Grouping of Material that have same basic  properties  can be assigned to one material type.
While creating new material types following points to be considered as material type controls following things,
    1) Material is intended for certain purpose ( For ex consumption)
    2) Whether  material Number to be assigned internally or externally
    3) Number range intervals
    4) Screen sequence & which screens to be appeared
5)Which user data can be entered
    6) Which procurement type ( Internal or external)
    7) Inventory management i.e. value & qty update  required..
You can also change material type for a material  under following conditions.
    1) Old & new material type must be assigned to same account category,
    OR
    2) No. open PO ,stocks or reservations
I hope this will clarify your doubts,If found useful please reward points

  • Doubt in creating program to display application logs

    Hi,
I have doubt in creating a program to display application logs.
The standard transaction code SLG1 has been used to display Application logs till now by the user.
They came up with the new requirement on this.
    <u>The requirements were:</u>
1)New custom program shoud be created like SLG1 with limited selection fields( data from, date to, Program name and User)
    2) Detail list should be displyed immediately when this program is executed because SLG1 gives Basic list,Detailed list which is getting displayed when 'Detail view' is selected in the first list.
I have created one program with limited selection fields as per the requirement using the below function modules .
    BAL_FILTER_CREATE
    BAL_DB_SEARCH
    BAL_DB_LOAD
    and BAL_DSP_LOG_DISPLAY
<u>Issue :</u> still I am getting the firt list.
both Basic and Detailled lists are getting triggered at the FM BAL_DSP_LOG_DISPLAY.
Is it only the way to copy and modify this FM.
    Could you please suggest me?
    Thans in advace,

    Hello All,
    Thanks for your valuable suggitions.
I have seen most of the demo programs.
I found one fm'BAL_DSP_PROFILE_NO_TREE_GET' which avoids the tree list which is getting listed above the profile list.
I have been searching alot to omit the Profile list. I searched alot to find any function modules realted to that.
The requirement was only the Detail list should only be listed.
Could you please suggest me to avopid that profile list also?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Creating a Material with different values for fields in Transaction MM01

    Hello All,
While creating a material i will be giving a Profit Center in Sales:general/plant view, which i can see in Costing1 View. If i change this in this View it automatically changes in the other View. Is there any way to give different values in the two views or then what is the significance in showing the same field again in two different views.
    Thanks,
    Shashidhar.

    Hi,
Its just a way of showing the data in different views for user. It doesn't have any significance.

  • Creating Job material using public API from WIP

Take the entered component part number and search in the WIP job material requirements. This should use a WIP API. If the material is found, increment the quantity. If material is not found, create the job material using public API. (Provide WIP API details)
The java object, oracle.apps.csd.schema.server .CsdHvWipJobPvtEO is a wrapper to call WIP API. This should be used to create material requirements is this the procedure to create job material Req.
from OAF how we have to create Job material transaction

    Hi Pat,
What is your SBO version? I've seen several cases in which the login/connection procedure (both in the client and via DI API) has become much slower after upgrading to SBO 2005.
Do you experience the same slowness when connecting via DI API in a non-WebService setting?
I would not recommend using DI API in a web service context in the first place. DI Server would give you a much more robust, stable and scalable infrastructure to build upon.

  • Created a material  and want to post  by  using tcode mb1c, not  allowing.?

friends i  have a problem here, i created a material   for  my  sales  order. i wanted  to  post  like 100 of them in my storage location. so i used  tcode mb1c, entered  the  storage location , plant along with  the movment type 561 .  it  goes  in  and  there i enter the material and  and  the  number  to be posted (number of materials) .while  saving it  it  gives  the error ."posting period 008 2007 is not  open"  i  had  earlier  encounterd  with error  saying some previous  dates  were closed  and i used to  closed  the previous  periods by  tcode mmpv and bring it to the  present  date. but  this is the first  time  when i am seeing  that  the present   period  is closed .  . i tried with omsy and mmrv  also.  but  i dont know  what to do  now. how  can i open   current months   posting. i am in sd. dont have much idea about what mm guys  do. please help .

    Hi Seema,
In general, after creating ES, Cstmr,Matrl we need to execute MMPV before posting material. But in your case the periods are already closed, could be bcz some FICO consultant might have worked on it. But in order to resolve your problem u give a try to following prcdr.
Go to TCode OB52 [Posting Periods] and in the EIGHT column under heading YEAR change it to 2007 for the ROW "+"[Account Type]. Then proceed to MB1C.
In addition to this U may come across No. Range issue for which U uses TCode-FBN1; here for the current Yr. [2007] U have to give the No. Range for the interval appearing in the Error, eg 49,50,51...
Still if the problem persists consult a FICO for some alterations on the same screen [TCode-OB52].
Hope it might help U and reply the same to me
    Regards.

  • Not able to create a material document with movement type 103

I am not able to create a material document with movement type 103,
The system is populating the value as 101 .
How do I create a matdoc with movement type 103?

What is the error you receive? Please specify with message number.
On MIGO, you need to change the default value mvmt type value to 103 before you enter the PO number to be able to do 103.
Once this defualt value is set, you can enter the PO and item number in the document number fields and proceed with 103.
But you cannot change the mvmt type for already entered items from 101-103 or vice versa.
I think the 101-103 and 103-101 mvmt type conversion message is standard error message

  • Problem in creating a material in the plant

    Hello,
I have set up a complete warehouse in a Plant & SLOC combination, I am creating a material in the same plant but it gives me the error that " Tables TCURM and T001W inconsistent; notify your system administrator"
    Please help me with solution.
    Thanks. Nitin

    Hi,
Refer the SAP Note – 137601
    Or,
You have to upgrade the Kernel. Check the old patch number in ur system, upload the latest patches & down load from Market Place. Consult your Basis Consultant

  • A quicker way to create a materialized view?

    Hi,
I'm new to replication and have been reading doco on it. Basically I want to set up read-only materialized views in oracle 11g.
So on the replicated database I created a db link that points to the master db.
Then I created a materialized view that does "select * from table@dblink" and that is forced refresh every 10 minutes.
Problem is that the table on the master db is large and the network link is slow, so the "create materialized view" statement would take a long time to complete.
So I think to speed up the process I would export/import the table from master to replicated db, then make this imported table a materialized view somehow.
Is this possible, and if so, how?
    Thanks.
    Long

If you are able to use other means (exp-imp, expdp/impdp, unload-sqlldr, externalfile etc) to copy the data faster (as a normal table in the target database), you can then use the "ON PREBUILT TABLE" clause in the CREATE MATERAILIZED VIEW statement.
    See
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14200/statements_6002.htm#i2063793
Alternatively, you must first verify if the CREATE is slow only because of SQL Query performance on the source, rather than because of network bandwidth/latency. If query execution needs to be tuned, that would be a cleaner solution, because the Refresh can then be automatically handled by Oracle.
Remember that you can use Materialized View Log(s) on the source tables to enable FAST Refresh's as well.

  • Create a materialized view on a base view

I want to create a materialized view on a master view (ordinary view, not a mat. view). But i can not make it work. can it work? I have created a primary key on the master view as:
create or replace force view v_xxx(a, b)
    unique rely disable novalidate,
constraint a_pk primary key (a) rely disable novalidate)
    as select a ,b
    from xxx
When I then try to create the mat. view:
create materialized view mv_xxx refresh complete
    with primary key
    as
    select * from [email protected]
    I get:
ORA-12014: table 'V_xxx' does not contain a primary key constraint
    What am I doing wrong?

I suppose OP is on a 9i db (cause I can't reproduce on 11gr2) and the error is because of the database link:
    SQL> create table emp_t
    as
       select * from emp
    Table created.
SQL> create or replace view v_emp_t
empno   constraint v_emp_t_pk primary key rely disable novalidate,
       ename
    as
       select empno, ename from emp_t
    View created.
SQL> create materialized view mv_emp_t refresh complete
    with primary key
    as
    select * from v_emp_t
    Materialized View created.
    SQL> drop materialized view mv_emp_t
    Materialized View dropped.
SQL> create materialized view mv_emp_t refresh complete
    with primary key
    as
    select * from v_emp_t@loopback
    Error at line 32
ORA-12014: table 'V_EMP_T' does not contain a primary key constraintYou can wrap the view with the db link in another view though:
SQL> create or replace view v_emp_t2
empno   constraint v_emp_t2_pk primary key rely disable novalidate,
       ename
    as
       select empno, ename from v_emp_t@loopback
    View created.
SQL> create materialized view mv_emp_t refresh complete
    with primary key
    as
    select * from v_emp_t2
    Materialized View created.

  • Create a materialized view :-

How do I create a materialized view on a view ,so that it will refresh automatically on every commit in base table where the view having more that 9 function ?

Read Materialized View Refresh for complete information.
    For a Jist:
    Refresh Mode Description
    ON COMMIT
Refresh occurs automatically when a transaction that modified one of the materialized view's detail tables commits. This can be specified as long as the materialized view is fast refreshable (in other words, not complex). The ON COMMIT privilege is necessary to use this mode.
    ON DEMAND
Refresh occurs when a user manually executes one of the available refresh procedures contained in the DBMS_MVIEW package (REFRESH, REFRESH_ALL_MVIEWS, REFRESH_DEPENDENT).
When a materialized view is maintained using the ON COMMIT method, the time required to complete the commit may be slightly longer than usual. This is because the refresh operation is performed as part of the commit process. Therefore this method may not be suitable if many users are concurrently changing the tables upon which the materialized view is based.
If you anticipate performing insert, update or delete operations on tables referenced by a materialized view concurrently with the refresh of that materialized view, and that materialized view includes joins and aggregation, Oracle recommends you use ON COMMIT fast refresh rather than ON DEMAND fast refresh.
If you think the materialized view did not refresh, check the alert log or trace file.
If a materialized view fails during refresh at COMMIT time, you must explicitly invoke the refresh procedure using the DBMS_MVIEW package after addressing the errors specified in the trace files. Until this is done, the materialized view will no longer be refreshed automatically at commit time.

  • Creating a materialized view for another user

I don't seem to find the correct setup for this....
    With the user "dummy"
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW dummy.thetable BUILD IMMEDIATE REFRESH FORCE ON DEMAND AS select * from real.thetable;
And the materialized view is created ok.
    With a DBA user:
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW dummy.thetable BUILD IMMEDIATE REFRESH FORCE ON DEMAND AS select * from real.thetable;
    ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
I don't want to be switching back and forth from the user to create materialized views, am I missing a permission here? DBA of course has create any materialized view

    From the SQL Reference Guide:
To create a materialized view in another user&#8217;s schema:
    - You must have the CREATE ANY MATERIALIZED VIEW system privilege.
    - The owner of the materialized view must have the CREATE TABLE system privilege. The owner must also have access to any master tables of the materialized view that the schema owner does not own (for example, if the master tables are on a remote database), and to any materialized view logs defined on those master tables, either through a SELECT object privilege on each of the tables or through the SELECT ANY TABLE system privilege.
I suspect that, if you first GRANT CREATE TABLE TO DUMMY, you will be able to create the MV.
