Doubt in Making IDOC as External Def
Hi,
I have imported the IDOC From R/3 to XI ( IR ).
If i changed the Occurence of one segment say 0unbounded to 01 by exporting the IDOC into notepad and imported as External def.
Q1) Is ther any problem that having the 0--unbounded occurence at R/3 side and 0-1 occurence at IDOC structure in XI.
Q2) While Trigering the IDOC values from R/3 we may provide multiple lineitems but we have changed the structure to 0...1.How this will handle
How this will Effect???
Regards
Suman
Hi Suman,
yes you can change the occurances... check below links

Error sending IDOC from external Java application to Sap ERP system
Hi Experts!
When I try to send Idoc from Java application to XI an error occurs : no service for system CLNTJAVA, client in Integration Server.
My question is: What value the setSenderPort() is excepting?The Java third party business system's logical name or the ERP business system's logical name where the JCO can be found?I tried both of them, but still have the problem.
Please help. I read all threads about this error, but non of those can help me.
My relevant java sourcecode:
doc.setSenderPort("CLNTJAVA");
The XI documentation says that:In the case of non-SAP senders, the entry in the SNDPOR field is interpreted as a logical system name, and the corresponding business system is searched for in the runtime cache.
Both case(third party business sytem and erp business system) I have configured the ID i think correctly. I made a business systems,I configured the adapter specific identifies,I made the IDX1 port,I made the RFC destination,I polled the IDOC type with IDX2 transaction, I have made full cache refresh,I configured the INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI rfc destination,but I do not made any communication channels, receiver determinations, receiver agreement.
My configurations if it can help for you.
Hostname:sapsp5
System name: NE2
Clients:
000 ERP
001 Integration Server
<b>SLD configurations:</b>
Third Party Technical system name: Java_sytem
Business System:CLNTJAVA
Logical system name: CLNTJAVA
<b>ID configurations:</b>
Business System:CLNTJAVA
adapter-specific identifiers:logical system:CLNTJAVA, <u>the rest is initial</u>,because I cant change it.
IDX1 port name: CLNTJAVA the client is 001. the rfc destination is client_001.
I think the IDX1 port and the adapter specific identifiers are wrong. is it?
my java source if the sender is the JCO
doc.setSenderPort("INTSERV");
My configurations if the sender is the JCO.
<b>SLD configurations:</b>
Technical system name: NE2
Business System:INTEGRATION_SERVER_NE2
Logical system name: INTSERV
<b>ID configurations:</b>
Business System:INTEGRATION_SERVER_NE2
adapter-specific identifiers:logical system:INTSERV,system NE2,client 001.
IDX1 port name: INTSERV the client is 001. the rfc destination is client_001.
Could this error be an autorization error?I tired to connect to the xi from the Java, with the user PIISUSER extended with PISUPER roles.
Thank very much.Hi!
My SNDPOR already set to my source business system's logical name if you check my configurations(JAVACLNT), so there is another problem unfortunately. I set SNDPRN to JAVA, but it still does not work.
Check this configuration please(posted here:
No service for system ... in Integration Directory)
doc.setMessageType("ACC_DOCUMENT");
doc.setRecipientPort("SAPSE1"); // get stuck in XI mapping if not set
doc.setRecipientPartnerType("LS");
doc.setRecipientPartnerNumber("SE1CLNT500");
<b>doc.setSenderPort("SAP3MA");</b>
doc.setSenderPartnerType("LS");
<b>doc.setSenderPartnerNumber("TREMACLNT");</b>
doc.setClient("100");
Inside XI configuration integration builder
<b>Business Service: Service: TREMACLNT</b>
Under the menu Service - Adapter specific identifiers
Idoc Adapter Logical system: TAPPMAN (This thing is important when sending idoc XI -> SAP and should match the logical sys in the receiving SAP system)
IDoc Adapter and RFC adapter R/3 Sysytem ID: 3MA
Client: 100
In IDX1 trans
<b>Port: SAP3MA</b> (Note that the 3MA here is matched against the IDoc Adapter and RFC adapter R/3 Sysytem ID: 3MA)
(a not so well documented feature)
Client: 100
RFC Destination: SE1 (A SAP test system from where IDOC def can be imported, rfc dests are setup in SM59)
I guess that your idx1 port name is the same as the SNDPOR value. I think it should be, because the XI is whatching the IDOC traffic in the idoc adapter port, so you should send the IDOC from external system to the adapter port. Is it right?
My idx1 port is the same as my SNDPOR value in Java,but still came the error. -

Edited by: tapan singh on Feb 28, 2011 11:52 AMHi,
We can have alternate ways to send IDocs from external system to SAP system. One way is in below link
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46b/helpdata/en/52/16abf6543311d1891c0000e8322f96/content.htm.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_40b/helpdata/ru/52/16abcf543311d1891c0000e8322f96/content.htm
I can think of few more, like In external system after generating Idoc, save it as a tex and send it to SAP system using Http post or using web service.
Look out to below discussion.

Is this scenario possible ?
We currently have issue with downloading metadata of idoc from external JCO server.
Thanks in advanceHello Jean-Charles,
Perhaps you can use flatfile instead of JCO connection.
Check this doc: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/46759682-0401-0010-1791-bd1972bc0b8a

Send IDoc from External System to SAP system
Hi Folks,
I have a requirement to send IDocs from an external system to the SAp system. Basically the external system is a subsystem which is able to send & receive idocs. The external system is currently able to send idocs to SAP system through the ALE layer but now we have to replace it by PI. Now the external system has to send teh IDocs to the SAP ECC system through the SAP PI 7.0.
Kindly let me knowq how I can achieve it.
Regards,
SantoshHi Satish,
You can achieve this requirement
1)If your external system going to support web service cals then send IDoc from External system as a web service, in PI use sender side SOAP and receiver side IDoc receiver channel to send IDoc.
or
2)Use proxy program ,implement the same ALE logic in PI.
or
3)Copy the Extenal IDoc message in to file folder as XML,then use file adapter to pick up this message and send it SAP using IDoc.

Making link to external swf stop
Using flash 8. Inserted a link to a 2:15 second swf on the internet (get URL xxx.swf) at the beginning of my fla file, it plays fine but when the swf is over, how can I make it go away, in order to continue on with my presentation?
This is an onstage presentation so there are no buttons available, just
letting it play through. Doesn't sound favorable. Thanks very much for
your help.

If you have no control over that external swf there probably is not much
you can do outside of opening it in a separate browser window so that the
window can be closed and your original page is still showing in its
browser window..

Trigger TPSDLS01 IDoc to external TPS when outbound delivery is deleted
Hi,
We are currently trying to find a solution how to trigger a TPSDLS01 IDoc to external TPS when the outbound delivery is deleted.
In the following SAP article: Logical Communication Processes Between the SAP System and the T - Supply Chain Planning Interfaces (LO-SCI) - SAP Libra… it is said that "...If a delivery is deleted in the SAP system, this deletion command is transferred automatically to all transportation planning systems...". and we're trying to understand how it actually should be configured?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks!Hi,
I know this is quite old now....but, did you ever find an answer to this problem?

Importing DTD as External Def.
Hi all,
My Customer gave one DTD file, when i import that under external Def. by seleting the Category a DTD and Messages from the first ELEMENT,I can able to see Structure name under messages TAB and i can able to see ../global/Global.dtd under External References TAB
When i see the imported DTD with mapping editor, it does not have all the structure according to the sample xml file.It has from the middle of the file
They gave another DTD "Global.dtd", i imported this also and this contains the rest of the structure missed above.
What to do in this case, why is this behavior here

>>If you have validated them separately, try validating and traversing as i said above.
As i have two separate file( status.dtd and Global.dtd), i validated them separately.
when i validate status.dtd file, it gave error like Error *opening local file,The system can't find the path specified* . then now i changed the path as C:\Global.dtd and placed Global.dtd file in C:/. Validation is fine now.
*<!-- Include Nistevo Global -->*
<!========================================================>
<!ENTITY % NISTEVO_GLOBAL PUBLIC "Global" "../global/Global.dtd">
%NISTEVO_GLOBAL;
the 2nd file Global.dtd validation is fine.
When i validated status.dtd, i couldn't traversed, how this works , i do not understand
I can send you both dtd file to you

Idoc as external definition for occurance change - interface use
Hello,
never used this.
Found this blog from Michael
/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/12/04/xi-idoc-bundling--the-trick-with-the-occurance-change
Question is...
When I import the Idoc as external definition then I need to add it into a message interface because it cannot be used
like original Idoc which is used as message interface?
Thank you in advance !
Best regards
DirkWhen I import the Idoc as external definition then I need to add it into a message interface because it cannot be used

You dont have to use it in Message interface....the standard IDOC can be used in the Interface Mapping Directly....even Michal mentioned the same in the blog Step 6....in case you missed it.

Questions concerning HowTo send IDoc to external system
Hi guys,
well i want to send and receive IDoc from an external system.
The other side of the communication now needs information from me what kind of parameters i can give to connect both systems. Also i need some informations concerning this.
I gonna use IDoc-Tunneling in XI. Because of sending data to the ext. System i need a RFC-Connection of TCP/IP?! But what kind of program do i have to start at other side (see Technical settings).
- Special to XI i have to configure a third party system in SLD. Do i need the system-parameters from the ext. System?
- in ID i have to configure PARTY!? Right?!
How to load external meta-data? is it possible via IDX2 by using the TCP/IP-RFC?
Perhaps somebody can give me a road map on which data i need from the ext. system and what i can give to the admin of the ext. System for sending IDoc to XI?!
br JensBy IDoc-Tunneling i am thinking of just putting the IDoc through XI without transformation in XML (like in one blogs of Michal). Because of this blog there seems only to be one step in IR - import IDoc. in ID there are the mandatory steps.
But if i want the ext. Admin to tell what parameters i need to communicate with the ext. system i have doubts in telling him just the IP and perhaps a program which we have to start via RFC configured in XI.

Scenario: Idoc - XI - external system (Idoc)
Hello,
I am trying to send an idoc from an sap 4.6c system to an external system. The external system is supporting idcos with trfc. This scenario is currently working with ALE. Now i have to set XI between these two systems.
My problem is to set up the communication channel in the integration builder (configuration) for the external system. The idoc is waitung in XI to transport. So the step XI-> external system causing problems.
My settings are:
adapter type: idoc
transport protocol: idoc
message protocol: idoc
adapter engine: integration engine
rfc destination: xyz (is working fine)
interface version: sap release 4.0 or higher
port: ??
sap release 46c
My problem is the port. should i set up a port in idx1? But the external system is not an sap system and so i dont have a client.
In XI i have defined a port in transaction we21 (transactional rfc) for the external system with rfc destination xyz. But if i enter that port in communication channel i got error messages.
Thanks for any help.Hi christian,
i'm also working in IDOC scenario between ECC to XI to MDM, if u have any document or snapshot then pls fwd it to me.

File to IDOC, with External Definition to hold multiple IDocs
Hello Experts,
I am configuring a sample File to IDOC scenario. Here are the steps I am following, can you please guide me what I am missing here.
I am having a flat file with 10 records to be transferred to my ECC system through IDOC adapter to create 10 different IDocs.
1. I am picking up my flat file using a 3rd party Business System with File Content Conversion
2. I uploaded CREMAS Idoc and exported as XSD file and modified Occurences paramter to unbounded and uploaded back as an External file definition into IR
3. I defined an SAP WEBAS ABAP type Business System with LS (representing my ECC system) and configured with IDOC Rcvr channel.
4. In the IDOC recvr Channel, I specified RFC destination pointing to my ECC system & Port, Release...etc
5. On the ECC side, I configurated a PARTNER PROFILE with the above mentioned LS(used in step 3) and added an Inbound Idoc paramter CREMAS with process code CRE1. Selected the option Trigger Immediately.
Testing:
1. When I checked my CC monitoring in RWB, my file on the sourced is getting picked up successfull with respect to the specified polling intervals.
2. I don;t see any messages in my SXMB_MONI. I verified SXMB_ADM configuration it looks fine to me
3. I used TCode:WE02 on ECC side, nothing is there
4. I used Tcode SM58 on ECC side, nothign is there
I have no idea what is happening after successfully picking up the file on the source side.
Is there a way to trace where exactly the error is or what is wrong with my scenario?
Just an observation, We don;t need to specifiy any LS on the Sender Business Sytem(3rd party in my case) which picks up my file on the source side. Rather I am specifiying LS on the Target Business Sytem(type WEBAS ABAP in my case) to send my IDOC to ECC system. I am using the same LS to define PP on ECC system.
Edited by: Chris Rock on Oct 21, 2008 5:03 PMAamir,
I tried full cache refresh, also cleared SLD Cache for both IR & ID. No luck.
I think either some thing wrong in connection parameters, but atleast if I see some error in Moni or RWB, it helps, but in my situation, nothing is showing up there.
Connections:
I specified PORT & RFC Dest in IDOC RCVR Adapter along with WEBAS Release version. These PORT & RFCs are created in XI using SM59 & IDX1 and both passed the connection test.
On the ECC side, I created a PP with inbound Idoc CREMAS and process code as CRE1. This PP uses the LS that was used in RCVR BS specified in XI side.
I also loaded Idoc meta data into XI with Tcode: IDX2
Please help me, any body. I will sincerely award the points. -
Hi Gurus
I have doubts regarding the sender IDoc adapter.The sender IDoc adapter is present by default and we do not create manually. the qos of this is EO by default.
How can we change the QOS of the sender IDoc adapter? do we have to maitain any settings on the R/3 side, please explain??
