Doubt in port connection

Hi experts,
In order to communicate with r/3 system from bw system how much port and partner profile should be maintained in bw server as well as r/3 server.

  • Int vlan up while no port connected on the vlan

    Hello,
Having a cat3750 stack (Layer2-Layer3, release 12.2.25SEB4), I would like to have an interface vlan up for administration reason with no port connected on this vlan?
Do you know a way to get it, wihout using loopback interface, i.e. having a switch port stat up while not beeing connected. (no keepalive nor L3 interface with no keepalive do not help me)
    sh run int fas 3/0/24

    Current configuration : 170 bytes
    interface FastEthernet3/0/24

    no ip address
    no logging event link-status
    no keepalive
    no snmp trap link-status
    power inline never
    no mdix auto

    sh run int vlan 1

    interface Vlan1

    end
    sh int vlan 1
Vlan1 is up, line protocol is down
    sh int fast 3/0/24
FastEthernet3/0/24 is down, line protocol is down (notconnect)
    Regards,

    Hello Glen,
    Thank you replying so fast.
    Here is some more information:
The switch is used as a router too.
It is reachable by a WAN router connected to this switch on an another vlan (vlan 9). The SVI for the management of this switch is on a dedicated vlan (vlan 1) but this is the only switch of this site.
The management of this switch isn't in the same vlan as the router.
And I wonder if there is a way to have a SVI up just for the management process of this switch, without using a loopback interface.
WAN router is on vlan 9 and I would like to have the switch management IP'address on vlan 1.
Vlan 1 IP network is a subnet of the network routed by the WAN router (managed by an operator).
    Regards,

I have inherited this model A1185 macbook laptop, and have no book for it.What are the ports other than power and printer used for?Can you tell me what the other 10 ports/connections are used for?

  • Mail 2.1.3 Port Connection error after security update.

I have 6 active email accounts that are normally checked by Apple Mail. After installing the most recent security update yesterday, 4 of the 6 accounts stopped connecting to their respective ports. Two of them are POP accounts (both gmail accounts on port 995), two are IMAP (ports 993 and 143), all four use SSL in the advanced settings. Of the two accounts that still work, one is an IMAP account (port 143), the other is a POP account (port 110), both without SSL. Firewall is on.
    I get the error:
"There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Check the settings for account "account name" or try again.
The server error encountered was: The connection to the server "correct server" on port 995 timed out."
The error is the same for all four accounts, with their respective ports.
I have checked my server settings and verified that they are all correct. I can login to webmail for all of these accounts and read my mail without problems.
    Mail Connection Doctor says:
"Could not connect to this POP server. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the Accounts preferences. Also verify that the server supports SSL. If it does not, uncheck the "Use SSL" checkbox in the advanced tab of Account preferences."
All four accounts require use of SSL.
I have tested their connections on two different wireless modems and an ethernet connection to the same network as one of the wireless setups. No change.
I have tried turning off my firewall. No change.
I tried setting up one of my gmail accounts as an IMAP account instead of POP. This did not work either.
I have tried adding a Firewall Port connection for ports 995, 993, and 143 as both TCP and UDP numbers (independently and together). No change.
I have tried following these instructions from Mulder in response to another user's topic:
"1. Quit Mail if it's running.
    2. Go to Home/Library/Caches/Mail and delete all the sub-folders within that one.
    3. Go to Home/Library/Mail and delete this file:
    • LSMap2
    4. Restart Mail and see if it works."
    No change.
    Any other suggestions?

I did get some suggestions from this
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1766017
thread, but still no email from those four accounts. Does anybody else have any suggestions?
I really do not want to have to resort to webmail and/or my iphone for my email needs.

  • Problem in "Is port connected"

    Hi Ppl,
I am using state machine arctitecture to build my application.
in the Initialization phase, i configure my hardware using VISA.
and my applicaition starts recieving data from the H/W.
i want to put some kind of check to see whether or not the device is still connected.
i used "Is port connected" property in serial settings, and found that it always returns FALSE, even though my device is connected and sending data.
my basic problem is to get a method to check whether the H/W is On/Off ??
how can i achieve this ??
    Thanks,
    Ritesh

The "Is Connected" property does not work in the "general world". From the Help:
Another option is to use the serial port line states, if your hardware makes use of them. For example, you could monitor the DTR line.

  • SAS MPIO Driver Server 2012 HCT Fails with "make sure two ports are connected" error even with two ports connect

We are running the Server 2012 HCT against a SAS MPIO driver for a server platform with dual redundant storage controllers.  The test fails with this error:
    (x) For non-iSCSI test environment, please make sure at least two HBA ports are connected to the storage target.
    File=testsrc\driverstest\storage\wdk\mpiotest\logotest\devicelib\mpiodevice.cpp Line=2772
    Error: 0x0, Error 0x00000000
The system does have two ports connected so the cause of the error is unclear to us.  We do not have any problems when running the 2008R2 HCT.  Are there any known issues or fixed or workarounds for this problem?

Sorry, maybe I should say WLK rather than HCT.  We are trying to submit the SAS MPIO driver for WHQL signing.
Here is a sample MPIO snapshot where you can see our driver is controlling five drives each with two paths.

  • Printing with a USB/Parallel Printer port connection on an HP LaserJet 4000 series

I have a Laserjet 4000 that is connected to Windows 7 via a usb/parallel port connection.  Until earlier today I have always been able to print without a problem.  Today however I can documents from the Internet to the printer and when I look at the printer the operating system claims the printer is offline.  What do I have to do to be able to print once again?

  • Which USB port connects to which USB controller ?

On 875P Neo, I have 6 USB Ports on the mainboard slot and these 2 additional USB2 Ports, which I  can access from the front.
The connection from the additional USB2 controller to these 2 USB2 ports are clear.
But there are 4 USB controller for these 6 USB ports on the mainboard slot. - I did not find which port connects to which controller.
That's important for me, because one of these controllers shared an IRQ with my TV card on PCI slot 4 and if the USB-ISDN modem is connected to a port of this USB controller, I get sometimes this nice error message "can't locate TV tuner" an so on...
How can I figure out which of these 6 USB port connects to which of these 4 USB controller ???

I guess the only way is to manually connect your device and see which USB xHCI it maps to that conflicts with your TV card IRQ.
With the 876P (and 865PE) you have 8 USB 2.0 ports which gets mapped into 4 Universal Host Controllers (2 USB1.x ports per UHCI) and a single Enhanced Host Controller (all 8 USB2.0 ports). Find out where each of your host controllers gets mapped into when you connect a USB1.x device.
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to control how each PCI card gets an IRQ on the 875P Neo (but the 865PE Neo2 does seem to have such an option)

  • Disable Data Port Connections

I have a WRT54G2 setup in the company. I want the unit to be used for wireless access only. I would like to disable the data port connections that are not being used.
Has anyone done this before or know of how to do so?

I thought of causing damage to those ports too. Maybe lLightly crazy glue in a few male RJ45's is another thought I had.
    Thanks again GV!

  • 4402 LAN Management Port Connection

I am having fits with the "management" port connection. We have a 4402 controller, with a Mini Copper GBIC. The connection is horrible! All you have to do is bump it, and my WAN drops. Refuses to stay connected.
How do large companies with wireless phones handle this awful connection? Is there a better solution than the mini GBIC?
    Thanks - need help fast!

Yes, It was purchased in a lump sum from our Vendor Cxtec. It plugs in, but is very very loose, and not stable at all. What do companies do about this? Or maybe it is not a Cisco part. Label says it is.
    Thanks

  • How do I add an airport extreme to a cable modem with only one ethernet port, while keeping that port connected to my Mac?

I have a mac pro connected by ethernet to a cable modem via ethernet.    There is only one ethernet port on the modem.
I want to keep the Mac connected via ethernet for speed.    Is there a way that I can add an airport extreme to this set up - for my ipad and roku, and for guests to use - or do I need to buy a router to put between the modem and the mac?
If I need a router, what kind?
    Thanks.

The modem connects to the WAN "O" port on an AirPort Extreme router.
The Mac Pro connects to one of the three LAN <-> ports on the AirPort Extreme router.
Or if you do not need the ability to connect a hard drive to the USB port on the router, you can save a bit by using an AirPort Express.
The modem connects to the WAN "O" port, the Mac Pro connects to the LAN <-> port
Either the AirPort Extreme router or AirPort Express router will allow up to 50 wireless device to connect.
There are many other wireless modems offered by other manufacturers as well.

  • Doubts regarding db connection with encrypted password usage in sandbox

    Hi All,
We have setup the db connection using configuration file. The configuration file contains db connection information including the encrypted password.
    Below are my doubts:
    1. If we are going to import the ETL project in zip file directly into the sandbox can we run the graphs directly or we need to check how the password which is encrypted in configuration file will be decoded.
    2. Can we directly modify the configuration file for db connection like db connection, user name and password. Suppose I want the graphs to run in some other database which is not specified in configuartion fiel .Can I directly update that?
3.Is it possible to change the encrypted password in the configuration file in the sandbox. Is it that we need to create the project in Integrator Designer, change the password using the Integrator Designer, and then copy the encrypted password into the configuration file in sandbox, or the Endeca provides a functionality to allow user to directly change the password in the sandbox on the Integrator server.
Can someone please let me know their comments on above.
    Thanks in Advance.
