Doubt in possible agent and responsible agent.
Hi All.
Can any one please help me in solving difference between possbile agents as responsible agents.
As per my understanding we will maintain the possible agents in the task definition and responsible agents in the work flow definition.
For example if a invoice posting needs to be handled,if i define three agents in the task definition as possible agents who will become the responsible agents out of three..
can any one please help me in understanding the difference between possible agent and responsible agent?
Thanks in advance.
Hi ,
It's very small but interesting doubt :P
If in activity level any agent is maintain like we maintain &_wf_initiator& generally. that agent is the responsible agent .. or if any rule is maintained then the agents selected by the rule will be responsible agents but the ..
There is something which you have missed is recipients .. who actually receives the workitems in their inboxs.. these are the user who are the intersection of possible and responsible agents..
In short
Possible agents as you have said..
Responsible are the agents you maintain at activity level or get selected by the rule.
and Recipents who actually gets the workitem..
hope this will help you

Log Reader Agent and Snapshot Agent wont start
Hi There,
I've two SQL 2012 servers with multiple instances installed.
I've started replicating the databases in these instances using transactional replication and thus far they've worked without a hitch.
One of my instances, annoyingly, has an issue where the Log Reader Agent and Snapshot Agent refuse to start, and I've followed exactly the same process as with the other instances\databases.
The Agents are configured to make use of a domain user account with sysadmin permissions to the instances on both servers.
I get the following two error when I View Log Reader Agent Status:
The job failed. The Job was invoked by User sa. The last step to run was step 2 (Run agent.).
I've asked the agent to run as my DOMAIN\sqlservice account, so I've no idea why it's moaning about sa?!!?
I get the following error when I View Snapshot Agent Status:
The replication agent has not logged a progress message in 10 minutes. This might indicate an unresponsive agent or high system activity. Verify that records are being replicated to the destination and that connections to the Subscriber, Publisher, and Di
If I try to start either agent I'm told that the request to run job was refused because the job has been suspended, "Changed database context"?? Error 22022.
Can anyone help? This is because your job owner is sa. Right click on your job and notice the owner - but is should be sa.
You likely have another issue. You may need to run the job and configure it for logging to see what the error is.

CSA agent and NAC agent together
Hi, do you have experience of CSA agent and NAC agent together on the same pc ?
Does one include the other ?
Which one have I to test first ?
thank you in advance
greatings
RSCisco Trust Agent collects security posture information from the NAC-compliant applications running on the network client and reports them to the Cisco Secure Access Control Server (ACS). These are some NAC-compliant applications:
- Antivirus applications
- Personal firewalls
- Host-based intrusion protection applications, such as Cisco Security Agent (CSA)
Cisco NAC is a strategic element of the Self-Defending Network. Working together with other Self-Defending Network components such as Cisco Security Agent and the Cisco Security Monitoring, Analysis, and Response System (Cisco Security MARS), Cisco NAC helps organizations achieve more accurate threat identification and prevention while increasing patch management efficiency. -
KDE4.1 ssh-agent and gpg-agent
Suddenly after an update of kdeworkspace my ssh-agent and gpg-agent have stopped working. Does anyone else have also this problem?
Regards,I've also had this problem, although I don't know the exact time it stopped working as I have not had to use my laptop to ssh for a while.
Everything seems to get created OK - the socket is created:
[daren@daren_laptop env]$ ll /tmp/gpg-MZi0kX/
total 0
srwxr-xr-x 1 daren daren 0 2009-01-18 10:06 S.gpg-agent
and the env variable points to it:
[daren@daren_laptop env]$ env | grep GPG
GPG_AGENT_INFO=/tmp/gpg-MZi0kX/S.gpg-agent:4508:1
and the agent is running on the correct pid:
[daren@daren_laptop env]$ ps axf | grep gpg-agent
4508 ? Ss 0:00 gpg-agent --daemon
4902 pts/0 R+ 0:00 \_ grep gpg-agent
If i run ssh-add from the command line, I get this:
[daren@daren_laptop env]$ ssh-add
Could not open a connection to your authentication agent.
[daren@daren_laptop env]$
I'm not that clued up on using the agent - it's always "just worked" after adding the script to ~/.kde4/env, but I'm kind of stuck now. There was another post about issues with KDE 4.1 and the agents, but they resolved theirs by doing what I've had setup for a while now. -
Difference between local agent and standalone agent
Hi all,
Can you please tell me the difference between local agent and standalone agent?
I am getting a bit confused about this.
Regards,
SouravLocal agent will be running under the context of the main ODI session i.e. it is linked to an open session of the designer, operator etc. Standalone ODI agents run in their own JVM process and could be installed on any server and do not require an open instance of the ODI client GUI to run scenarios

App-v cubacs and desktop agent
I have a client who is upgraded their CCM environment to version 10. We will be deploying a CUBACs server and client and contact centre express desktop agent and supervisor agent. They are also looking at deploying the desktop applications in a Microsoft App-V (ver 5.0.12180). I have a quick google search to see if the App-V environment is support for these but not found anything. Has anyone out there come across deploying these packages in an App-V environment, and if so are the any issue?
See the App-V client to see if it is attempting to delete the shortcuts during a refresh - you may need to set the log to verbose mode first.

How to route the workitem to Agent, when no agent found
1.when agent is not found, i was able to see the workitem in swi2_freq.
If this is case, how do i send workitem to an agent?
2. As this is a general task, but i didn't see this workitem in all user's inbox. is it true that if agent not found for a workitem, will be sent to all agents?
3. I set my userid as workflow administrator, but still am not able to forward workitems to any user in sap.(lack of authorizations). What kind of authorizations required to forward a workitem.
Any inputs on this...1. Either you can set default agents for the task (or) modify the container elements in transaction SWIA (or) complete it manually without agent.
2. Its true that, for a task specified as general task, all users become possible agents. Remember that they dont become responsible agents. SAP agent assignment always take the intersection of possible and responsible agents. If you donts specify responsible agents, you cannot see workitem in anyone's inbox.
3. As told earlier, if you dont have authorization, check for the auth object in SU53 and get that added to your profile. Anyways, you can also check for the SAP provided standard authorizations for the workflow users in sap.com

Deadline agent and Possible roles in OM
HI Experts,
Where we will use the relationships like Deadline agent and possible roles in Expert mode.Franklin,
this export import works for user creation
[User]
UID=user1
Password=user1
Email_Address=xxxxxxx
First_Name=John
Last_Name=Smith
role=pcd:portal_content/com.xxxx.ess.xxxxx_ess/com.xxxxx.ess.roles/com.xxxxx.ess.roles.ess;
But in my case most of the users are already created, and now i need to do role mapping to these users.
can we do role mapping to users through Export Import
Is there any other way to do RTPM (Role to position Mapping) in portal.
Thanks.

Report for outstanding workflows and the agents responsible
I need a report that shows all leave request workflows , with userid who created them and approver (agent), and approver's org unit and personnel number.
is there a standard SAP report that can show that? or I need to develop one?
I was looking at the SWI2_FREQ, this report shows the leave request workflows and userid who created them, but it does not report on the agent.
Regards,
TiberiuHi
I think by making use of SAP_WAPI_WORKITEMS_TO_OBJECTS you can get all the workitems who created the leave wokritems.

Workitem must be limited to go to responsible agent only.
Hi,
I have a couple of doubts.
1) I do not need a workitem to be created for certain steps in the workflow. How can i avoid the creation of the workitem? If a workitem is not created, will the subsequent step execute?
Also, is it a must to make these steps "Background" tasks to avoid the creation of the workitem?
2) In the workflow, after a fork i send a workitem to several managers(retrieving them from an internal table).I need to send it to everybody irrespective of whether 1 manager approves or not.Right now, i get the workitem for the next manager only after the previous manager approves. How can i rectify this?
3) The workitem must only go to the responsible agent's inbox(manager). But, right now the workitem is going to all the inboxes. I have therefore created a rule to determine the agent and added this as "Possible Agent" in the task.I have also added this rule as a default rule in the task.
Also, when i generate the binding for this rule, no default bindings are being generated. What could the problem be?
Your early help will be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Monica.Hi Monica,
1. background step means - no dialog to the user - WF-BATCH runs it in a job (but even in this case a workitem is created but it is in nobady's inbox.
2. in PFTC you set the possible agents in SWDD by assigning the agents/rule define the responsible agents.
"The system resolves the rule for the recipient type agent at runtime, and determines the responsible agents of the task. All responsible agents who are also possible agents become recipients of the relevant work item."
If it does not work, you have to check the note for authorisation and the rule (PFAC).
If it still does not work, there is an issue in SAP.
I hope it helps

No Responsible Agent filled? workflow goes to all
Hi All,
I am new to workflow. I am trying to fix a leave workflow issue. Issue is when ever the leave applied it goes to more then one manager. Even thou employee got manager in organisation. When I checked the workflow log, I found no Responsible Agent in list, only Possible Agent as list with more then one entry (all of them got this workflow). I am not sure whats wrong, agent determination is done using Rule resolution I am unable to link workflow and rule used. Can anyone tell me what should be causing this problem or why responsible agent list empty.
Thanks in advance.

TrimHI Trim,
Responsible Agents
Who should do the work
Responsible agents are the people who are supposed to execute a particular work item.
Responsible agents are assigned at the workflow step level or at the task level via default agent determination rule.
Assignment of Responsible Agents
Responsible agents can be assigned by using
Expressions (Initiator of workflow)
Organizational Structure (Organizational unit, job, position)
Rules (Dynamically during Work Item creation)
The recipient(s) of a work item are established from the intersection of responsible and possible agents.
<b>Responsibility Rules</b>
When role resolution is performed, an assignment table is
evaluated in which Organizational Management objects (jobs,
positions, users, organizational units) are assigned to the
various characteristics of the role parameters.
<b>Procedure for defining roles using responsibilities</b>
Creation of container element for each criterion that are selected for the evaluation at runtime.
Creation of responsibility and definition of criteria (individual values or value ranges) in the responsibility editor for the container elements.
Assigning users / organizational objects to the responsibility.
If the values in the role container are compatible at runtime with
the criteria defined for a responsibility, the organizational
objects assigned to this responsibility are identified as
responsible agents for the work item.

Is it mandatory to assign a task to responsible agents?
Hello Gurus,
Iam new to workflow and i have few questions . Iam implementing CATS on ECC6.0 and in the data entry profile i have given the task ID TS31000007,Now i want to assign this task to an agent,
1. Is it sufficient to assign possible agents to the task through PFTC so that all possible agents can execute the workitem.
2. Or is it mandatory to assign the task to responsible agents <b>also</b> through a rule.
3. If i make the task as a general task can the perosn who entered working time can also approve it .
SriramHello Raja
My scenario is as follows
In CATS data entry profile i made the following settings
With approval procedure
Using business workflow
Auto determination of a recipient
Task ID : TS31000007 - approval by a chief (supervisor)
Now i make the task as general task ( possible agents).
I <b>dont</b> define a rule for the task in the defaults tab .
Now does the workitem go to all users?
and if i maintain agent assignment to a task through PFTC ( for example i assign the task to a user) and dont define the rule .
Does the work item goto that particular user only?

Current State:
• I have a customer running CUCM 6.1 and UCCX 7.01SR5. Currently their CUCM is *NOT* LDAP integrated and using local accounts only. UCCX is AXL integrated to CUCM as usual and is pulling users from CUCM and using CUCM for login validation for CAD.
• The local user accounts in CUCM currently match the naming format in active directory (John Smith in CUCM is jsmith and John Smith is jsmith in AD)
Goal:
• Upgrade software versions and migrate to new hardware for UCCX
• LDAP integrate the CUCM users
Desired Future State and Proposed Upgrade Method
Using the UCCX Pre Upgrade Tool (PUT), backup the current UCCX 7.01 server.
Then during a weekend maintenance window……
• Upgrade the CUCM cluster from 6.1 to 8.0 in 2 step process
• Integrate the CUCM cluster to corporate active directory (LDAP) - sync the same users that were present before, associate with physical phones, select the same ACD/UCCX line under the users settings as before
• Then build UCCX 8.0 server on new hardware and stop at the initial setup stage
• Restore the data from the UCCX PUT tool
• Continue setup per documentation
At this point does UCCX see these agents as the same as they were before?
Is the historical reporting data the same with regards to agent John Smith (local CUCM user) from last week and agent John Smith (LDAP imported CUCM user) from this week ?
I have the feeling that UCCX will see the agents as different almost as if there is a unique identifier that's used in addition to the simple user name.
We can simplify this question along these lines
Starting at the beginning with CUCM 6.1 (local users) and UCCX 7.01. Let's say the customer decided to LDAP integrate the CUCM users and not upgrade any software.
If I follow the same steps with re-associating the users to devices and selecting the ACD/UCCX extension, what happens?
I would guess that UCCX would see all the users it knew about get deleted (making them inactive agents) and the see a whole group of new agents get created.
What would historical reporting show in this case? A set of old agents and a set of new agents treated differently?
Has anyone run into this before?
Is my goal possible while keeping the agent configuration and HR data as it was before?I was doing some more research looking at the DB schema for UCCX 8.
Looking at the Resource table in UCCX, it looks like there is primary key that represents each user.
My question, is this key replicated from CUCM or created locally when the user is imported into UCCX?
How does UCCX determine if user account jsmith in CUCM, when it’s a local account, is different than user account jsmith in CUCM that is LDAP imported?
Would it be possible (with TAC's help most likely) to edit this field back to the previous values so that AQM and historical reporting would think the user accounts are the same?
Database table name: Resource
The Unified CCX system creates a new record in the Resource table when the Unified CCX system retrieves agent information from the Unified CM.
A Resource record contains information about the resource (agent). One such record exists for each active and inactive resource. When a resource is deleted, the old record is flagged as inactive; when a resource is updated, a new record is created and the old one is flagged as inactive.
