Repositories are used for storing and/or retrieving content and metadata.
The KM standard configuration uses several internal repositories that are controlled by CM. They are used for storing and staging various content and metadata and for navigating in this data. These repositories are preconfigured and preactivated in the KM standard configuration. You do not normally need to modify their configuration.
In addition to the aforementioned internal repositories, you can integrate additional external repositories into CM, such as a WebDAV or file system repository. You can establish a connection to these repositories by configuring appropriate repository managers.

Basic FICO doubt regarding posting expenses....

I am an ABAPer. I have a basic FI doubt. We are using Project system in our company. Now for expenses, the employee enters the data in third party systems. Th third party systems then provide us with the data file which will be posted in SAP.
The business says that if a given expense by an employee, has Project status released, then the amount for that expense should be posted to cost center otherwise the amount for that expense should be posted to the project(WBS).
Now what does business people mean by posting expense amount to cost center or posting expense amount to Project (WBS). Where in FI can I see the option of posting amount to cost center versus posting amount to project ? Is there any transaction we can do that ?

when you post to wbs element it is a cost collector which can be settled later, where as cost center is a department. When you have a project, it has on going expenese instead directly posting to a cost center , you are collecting costs in a wbs element and settling it later to cost center. you can post to the wbs element same way as cost center.

Why can't i reply to a post/thread?

I posted a question re OS on 8700 but can't reply to the person who kindly posted a reply (bumblebee). board.id=8700&thread.id=1718.The 'reply' button is greyed out and there is a padlock beside the thread. Please tell me how to post a rpely without having to write a new message like this.

I just tried looking up that thread and it says it's been deleted. You must have posted something you shouldn't. You'll need to PM a moderator. Watch your PM's, as you may actually receive one from a moderator.

For How long will the posting threads last

I 'd like to know, if i am collection all the necessary links which has the corresponding thread ids mentioned along with them. What would be the duration of their lasting.

In general (or in ideal world of REST web) the link ID is permanent, i.e. it lasts forever.
As an 3.5 years SDN-er I can say that posts are not removed at all if they are not removed immediately (due to offensive text or illegal requests for commercial SAP materials or similar). But in practice SDN team changed at least twice the format of link URL-s. So be prepared to alter your "favorites" -- the thread/message ID's is stable but links themselves "evolve"

Canot post thread to Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Forum

Is it just me or is there an issue with posting a thread to the Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Forum? Every other forum I have tried has worked OK, but the XE forum results in a refresh of the currently displayed page. I am not able to reply to an existing thread either.

When posting, how can I enter a clickable link to a different post or thread (not a URL)? For example, in my post I might say: Further help on this topic is covered here, where the word "here" is actually a link to the other post.

Another K8N Neo 2 won't post thread!!

Hi Everyone,
I've been reading all the threads regarding the old Neo 2 not posting problem ever since i got mine in October and it didn't post.
At first it worked sporadically, which was a pain, but bearable. The one day it wouldnt start for love nor a good kicking, just a few seconds of fans and that's it.
I've tried 3 keyboards, 1 of which i went out and bought. No joy. I've tried 4 power supplies, admittedly 2 of which where never going to be powerful enough, but still no joy from the one in my sig, even when running 'barebone' just the graphics card, memory and CPU.
I took the board back to the shop, they tested it and it only went and worked!!! This was during the period that it worked on and off though, and now it isnt working at all!! All the other components work in other computers, so do you reckon its a dead board?

Doubt regarding on Thread

I need to knw how to handle the thread exception?Is it possible to start the new thread when the thread crashes...? can any one give me the source code for how to handle the exception in thread related with socket concept.....?

Well, there's complex stuff involving putting handlers into a ThreadGroup for unhandled exceptions, but it's generally simpler just to put a perfectly ordinary try - catch block in your run() method.

Posting Threads causing server problems too?

I don't feel sorry for apple at all releasing everything in 24 hours, but I think threads are probably not helping either, but then again I think different server's for web vs. itunes.

Good grief, if they're using the same servers for these boards as they are for their iTunes hosting, they have bigger problems than some ticked off customers.

What is the with posted thread statistics?

Some post show as being replied to and others don't. But the reality is that they have been replied to but not showing a count on the replies or the number of views. This has been happening in several MSDN forums over the last several weeks.

The site is playing up big time.
I frequently find up to the last day or so's worth of posts aren't appearing.
