I have a doubt in transporting the objects,
I have made changes in Function module's include program only , Should i have to transport the include prog alone or the whole the FM itself,

OBJECT SKIPPED while transporting the objects from DEV to QA.

Hi All,
While transporting the objects to Quality, I'm getting a warning saying Objects are skipped.
Can anyone please explain how to get rid of this error? We are facing this issue almost for all the transports which we are moving and the objects do not get transported to the next environment. We have to ask BASIS to use overwrite functionality while transporting to fix this each and every time we face an error.
If any SAP notes are available then please share it to me.

Objects of the selected object types exist in your system as changeable even if this system is globally set to not changeable. As a result, these objects are no longer connected to the transport system.

How to transport the object in XI?

Hi friends,
Anybody can give me the idea or any document for transporting the objects in XI from Development system to Quality system.As per my knowledge we can transport using File and CMS, but i don't have clear idea. Anybody explain me clearly or provide me any document?

There are two ways to Transport XI objects-
1) File Import/Export
2) CMS
CMS is somewhat standard way to do. Becuase you can track the objects. But for this you need to install the CMS separately.

This option is only enable for object like transfer rule, data source and IP if you want them to assign source systems,other wise the dialog box Choose Source system by Default? appears.

Problem in transporting the objects from Q to P

Hi,
I am trying to transport ds, is, DSO from Q to P. But it ended with errors. Below are the error messages.
Extract structure ZOXDS20119 is not active
The extract structure ZOXDS20119 of the DataSource ZDS_BILLCHANGE is invalid
ZDS_BILLCHANGE is created in BW itself using View with Generic extraction. So please update me how I can solve this problem.

Send you DS in a separate TR to P and then replicate you datasource in P.
Then send the objects in other request so that i will not fail again.

Doubt regarding Transporting Design Objects

Hi all,
While transporting the design objects from DEV to QAS, iam doing in the following way
1) i am doing transport Namespace wise individually and exported one by one.These all interfaces involved with IDOCs
2) When i import into Quality Design, i am not able to see the IDOCs under Imported Objects.
How to proceed further??

Now to itroduce this SWC dependencies is too late for le, because we have UK & North America objects also.
If i introduce this Dependencies concept now, i have to change for those UK & North America things too.

You can check following things
SLD:
   Proper transport targets are maintained in SLD for Quality and Production system
1) Integration Repository:
     a) Check wether external definitions are transported properly.
     b) Latest objects are imported.
     c) As mostly repository part is not edited so no major checks in Repository.
2) Integration Directory:
     a) User ID mentioned in communication has required authorization.
     b) User ID used in File adapter has read and write access on FTP server.
     c) All channel targeting towards correct business system and service.
     d) RFC communication channels are working properly without any error.
     e) All channels are in active state.
     f) Value mapping are maintained in Directory.

Transporting the objects to QA

Hi All,
I have created some infoobjects for master data loading and a number of infoobjects as attibutes to the main infoobject i.e I have around 5 infoobjects as main and have around 50 infoobjects which are assigned to one of the main IOs as attributes.
I have also created infosources & Transfer rules on the main IOs. Now, my doubt is that I found all these objects in the local objects and are not assigned to any request. I have to move them to QA now and do not know how to assign them to a request. Can I do this using Transport connection? If so, what are the steps to collect all the required objects.
Do I need to collect all the infoobjects individually or collecting the main infoobject will bring all its attributes?
I would be grateful if some one could reply me soon.

1: RSA1 --> Transport Connection
Select the Main I/O s and Go for the Grouping as "Data Flow before". This will Automatically selects all the attributes in Local Package. Check any Attribute is not selected, if so manually select the Tick mark and Go for the Truck Icon for creating the Work Bench Request.
50 info Objects is Ok in one Request

Please follow below steps to handle the same:
1. Go to Transaction: SE10.
2. Create a new workbench request by using key F6.
3. Double on the newly created request
4. Add a new entry: R3TR,TABU,<table> for Program Id, Object Type and Object Name Respectively.
<table> being the table name for which the contents are to be transported.
5. Click on Function icon next to table name.
6. Click the contents from the icons in next screen.
7. Select entire table.
8. In next screen we can select required entries to be transported.
9. Come back and save.
10. Now release the request and transport to the required server.

Doubts while transporting objects into QA

I has completed the Development and need to transport it to Quality.
Here i has written 4 UDFs based on the conditions on Mapping.
Could you please let me know while transporting the objects from DEV to QA ...shall i need to take extra care on UDFs.
Pls let me know the process if i really need to transport UDF's also into QA system.

In addition to the functional implementation like mapping hard-coded values specfic to landscape, you must take an extra care on the following scenarios
1. If you are implementing any RFC look up - connection parameters may change
2. If you use value mapping - value group names may change
3. Enhanced receiver determination - receiver business system names may change
No extra care is needed if its a simple code that maps fields without expecting any runtime variations.

Hi saran,
Check the source system connectivity of the Quality system. Also check whether you have transported the datasources related to those objects that you transported from DEV to QAS.
First you need to transport the Datasources created in R/3 and then replicate them in QAS/Prod and then transport the objects in BW from DEV to QAS/Prod.
Check all these things and if still the problem persists... Refer to the below threads which may help u...

Transporting an object from testing client to development client

             This is Sekhar . My question is
If i transported an object from development client to testing client .After transporting object to testing client i got a bug so that ABAP developer should work on that and how could i modify that bugs in testing client .Is it possible to modify in testing client? Is their any reverse transportation from testing client to development client?

Transportation of objects.

Hi All,
when we use the Transport connection from RSA1 to transport the objects?But normally we go to SE09 or SE10 Tr code to release the task and then release the request to transport the objects from Dev system to QA system. which is most preferable and when?
If request ID assign to saved object then we go to SE09 to release it.
If you object saved in $TMP or local object then we to Tra connection in RSA1 to assign request ID and release.
please correct me.

then go to SE09/SE10 to release the request.
-- > so we need both, no preference (though we can also add/include object in SE09/SE10)
and STMS in production to import the reqeust.

REGARDING TRANSPORTATION OF OBJECTS

hello friends,
I NEED INFO REGARDING TRANSPORT INFO
first i transported the datasources from source system(dev) to source system(quality) and then i replicated them in to the bw(quality) system. after that i given the source system mappings in the bw(quality system) and then i started transporting the objects independently in the following manner.
transport connections:
collection mode: (start manual collection)
and then i collected all infoobjects and clicked on the gather dependent objects ( the option which is available for the start manual collection option in the collection mode tab) and then i set a package and then i transported . in the same manner i created transport requests seperately under the same package for the infosources , datatargets,update rules. and then i released the requests and in the quality system we successfully imported the objects(infoobj,infosources etc....). but one infoobject for example 'X' which is a dependent attribute for the another infoobject 'Y' is inactive in the quality system(bw). but X is active in the bw(dev) and when i imported the object it exists inn the bw(quality) but in inactive mode. because of this all the dependent objects like datatargets are not active. once again i released the infoobject 'X' [which is active in bw(dev)] seperately by creating a seperate request and then imported but still it is inactive. i tried several times but i am failed. shall i install that infoobject('X' infoobject ) from business content(in bw quality). if i do so does it effect all the imported objects. pls let me know.
