Doubts about Supported Platform Sheets between Tuxedo 12c and OTMQ

Tuxedo team, hi!
I was looking at the supported platform sheets on both Tuxedo and OTMQ and I'm having a doubt regarding one point. In the Tuxedo 12 platform sheets, it says that RH Enterprise Linux is supported until the 6.3 version, as noted on the link below:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35855_01/tuxedo/docs12c/install/inspds.html#wp1476309
As for the OTMQ, I was hoping for the same platforms supported, but found out that it only supports RH Linux to 5.6, as noted on the link below:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35855_01/otmq/docs12c/install/inspds.html
Is this right? What are the limitations of the OTMQ on a RH 6.x ?
Thanks,
Brunno Attorre

Hi,
Can anyone help me on this point? Just wanted to make sure that the RH platform from 5.6 onward is not compatible with OTMQ.
Thanks,
Brunno Attorre

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the recommendation. Unfortunately it did not help solve the problem.
I have managed to get a JMS bridge working between 12c and 8.1 by including the 8.1 weblogic.jar on the classpath. This setup was using eis.jms.WLSConnectionFactoryJNDINoTX.
After trying to use the adapter that supports transactions, WLSConnectionFactoryJNDIXA I received the following error:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: can only be called from server
Is this because the Weblogic 12c server now views the 8.1 server as being foreign?

    hi,
i am accessing my support platform using the URL,
    http://servername:port/sp and login as administrator.
on the leftside of the screen, "support platform plugins", it is empty.
and there are few links there such as Main, Administration etc.. but clicking on anylink is throwing a null pointer exception.
but the documentation shows a screen shot where there are many options on the left panel of the screen, such as "enterprise portals", "j2ee", "operating system" etcc...
    any ideas?

    <b> SAPosCOL </b>
<i>All of them can be found in Windows --> Control Panel --> Adminsitrative Tools --> Services</i>
The status of the work processes/table entries can be found in <b>SAP MMC</b> (Management Console).

  • Difference between config tool and offlinecfgeditor?

I am having a strong confusion between these two. Please help.
Both require the DB to be up.
Both requires a restart after a change, that means none of them makes the change in DB directly.
    What is the difference then?
What I think that configtool directly doesn't make a any change at DB level at all, it only changes the instance.properties file at OS level only, whereas offlinecfgeditor changes the values of the parameters at DB level.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
    One more doubt:
What is the difference between instance.properties and instance.properties.vmprop?
I know second gets created every time with the restart of the DB. Does that mean it's a copy of DB stored parameters?
Is there a way in JAVA stack by which we can bring the parameters at OS level and DB level in sync, like we do in ABAP in RZ10 by importing the profiles?
    Please reply.

    Hi,
Basically the configtool and offlinecfgeditor are the same thing, the configtool is more user friendly, but the offlinecfgeditor can be used to access certain files and configurations that the configtool doesn't have access to.
Any changes done in the configtool are made at a database level, the instances.properties only gets changed after the bootstrap process which involves pulling data from the DB, This is the reason the j2ee needs a restart after ant changes are done to DB by configtools as these core DB files (note just the ones that change the instance.properties) are only accessed during the bootstrap phase, (a start up phase). This is to avoid any inconsistencies.
The  instance.properties.vmprop just contains information about the jdk in use and other simialar information (used for logs), it will only get created if it does not exist already, hence why it is recommended to delete this file after upgrading the jdk.
The instance.properties contains important paramters used during the start up of the j2ee system.
The java stack only syncs OS and DB parameters during start up time (bootstrap).
    Kind regards,
    Cathal

  • How to isolate the signals between TX/RX and RX2 on the USRP N210?

    Hello everyone,
I want to use one USRP N210 to transmit and receive signals simultaneously. But when I try to transmit signals from TX/RX and receive signals from RX2(the transmitted and received signals are on the same center frequency), I found that the there are signals leaked from TX/RX to RX2.  What can I do if I want to isolate the signals between TX/RX and RX2?
       Thanks very much!

    Hello -
I believe two questions are being asked on this thread:
    1. Isolation:  The internal switch provides about 30dB of isolation between TX/RX and RX2. As with most transcievers, if you transmit and recieve on the same frequency at the same time you will recieve your own transmission as well.
    2. Spurs: The USRP represents and optimized price vs performance and some images and spurs will occur.  Often they can be predicted as you mention. One thing you can do is use the CORDIC to acquire a signal at IF and then digitally shift I and Q to the ceneter frequency and bandwidth of interest.   This is done by setting the 'lo' via a property node and 'center frequency' to different values.
Other NI RF instrumentation options are available if you're looking for  RF performance.  The NI 5791 was recenty released and may be of interest.
    Best Regards,
    Erik

  • IDOC type for interface between SAP ECC and SAP F&R

    Hi Experts,

Please help me in finding the idoc type?
    Regards,
    Krishan

    Hi Denish,
You have 2 ways of loading data from R/3 to APO.
    1. R/3 to BW cube to APO-BW cube to APO planning area
    or
    2.  R/3 to APO-BW cube to APO planning area
BW can be a enterprise BW system ( independent) or you can use the BW inbuilt in APO also referred to as APO-BW.
The only difference between the 2 BW systems is APO-BW can not take the load of reporting where as the enterprise BW can.
Unless your company policy requires the enterprie BW system, I suggest using 2nd way.
You can load the data from R/3 to APO-BW cube using extractors either generic or standard depending on your data. You need to have a RFC connection setup between APO-BW and R/3. ( This is not CIF).
When you load the data into the APO-BW cube, you just have to load the data from the cube to APO planning area using the transaction /sapapo/tscube.
Refer to [DP Data Mart|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm50/helpdata/en/13/5ada58309111d398250000e8a49608/frameset.htm] for more information about the data transfer between APO-BW and APO.

  • Is mapping possible between InterfaceA_Out(Asy) and InterfaceB_In(Syn)

    Hi All,
             I have the following scenario:
              jms(asyn)-->PI7.1->(SOA with request /response)
When I model this scenario in Integration repository as Integration scenario ,the connection between the two actions(jms  and SOA)  does not show any interface on the receiver side.It only shows on the sender side,so I am unable to map the interfaces and it fails to validate the model.
Please let me know what might be causing this.

your scenario assuming that you need to process the response message from the target is a Async - Sync one.
Regarding your specific question about Is mapping possible between InterfaceA_Out(Asy) and InterfaceB_In(Syn), the answer is no. you can only have an interface mapping between a sync interface to sync interface or async to async.
    you can read thru these links to give u an idea on how to configure JMS scenarios;
How to correlate JMS messages - https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/5059f110-0d01-0010-7c8b-fdc983be70c0
In case JMS scenario that you have is a sync one, in that case if you are below SP19 you might have to build a BPM - ref: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/83/d2a84028c9e469e10000000a1550b0/content.htm

  • Difference between parent currency and parent in value dimension

    Hi
Dear friends please tell me about following:
1.Difference between <Parent Currency> and <Parent> in value dimension and its significance.
2.Difference between <Parent Currency Adjs.> and <Parent Adjs.> in value dimension and its significance.
    Thanks
    Mayank
Edited by: mayanka bhusan on Jun 17, 2010 10:08 PM

When you have an entity which contributes to two or more parent entities, you can specify if an adjustment applies and contributes to all parent entities or the selected entity.
    1. Create the adjustment to <Parent Curr Adjs> and the adjustment value contributes to all parents.
    2. Create the adjustment to [Parent Adjs] and you can select which parent entity you want the adjustment value to contribute to.
<Parent Currency> is where the translation happens.
<Parent Curr Total> is the total of the translated value plus any adjustments applying to all parents -i.e. <Parent Curr Adjs>
[Parent] simply carries the <Parent Curr Total> numbers to the next level of the value hierarchy
[Parent Total] is the total of the previous level plus any adjustments applying to the specified parent -i.e. [Parent Adjs]

    Hello,
you can find lots of info about analog voice interfaces here:
