Doubts in file2rfc scenario

i am using file2rfc scenario with request and response..usingBPM.
i want to create 3 communication channels, shall i use 3 business system/services for these.. or 2 business services and 1 busines ssystem. any maximum limit for using bus sys/services for one scenario.. how should i configure..
plzz help me in this regard...

Check this blog
RFC Scenario using BPM --Starter Kit
It has step by step instructions to do it.
For request and response file you use only 1 BSystem.
Your BPM will be 1 BService.
For RFC, R/3 will be onother BSystem.
Above blog should help, its a good read for starters for this scenario.

  • File2Rfc scenario

    Hi all,
I am working on FILE2RFC scenario. Here sender is file system and receiver is SAP system.
For this Scenario, sender agreement and sender communication channel are required? or not?
And, here i am using business service for receiver system. Is it ok?
Please revert back to me with the proper solution
I am very thankful to you in advance.
    Thanks,
    Nagarjuna.

    Hi,
Whenever the sender is a file system (i.e; FTP server on sender side), you need to configure a sender communication channel using the file adapter.
Moreover, the receiver being an SAP system, you need not create a receiver business service. You just need to add a business system like EC1CLNT 800 as the receiver to ur scenario.
Plus ur scenario would also need a sender agreement. The sender agreement is not required only when ur sender system resides on the ABAP stack.
    Regards,
    Jyotika.
    Pls reward points if helpful.

  • Hi how to test FILE2RFC scenario

    Hi All,
I have created one FILE2RFC scenario. Now i am going to test this scenario by using web page. how to get that webpage?
Please revert back to me ASAP with the solution.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Nagarjuna.

    Hi Nagarjun,
    what i have understood is
1)ur scenario is synchronous FILE to RFC
2)U dont want to use BPM....
But i dont think....its possible without BPM.
    since FILE adpater are asynchrnous...
one thing u can do...u can do it for testing purpose.
create the synchronous scenario...u can see the respose in moni.... but no reponse can be written...
u can do it in 2 asynchronous scenarios (FILE to RFC and FRC to FILE). also .but.. i dont think its possible to link/automate these.

  • Doubt in JDBC Scenario.

    Dear All,
At present i am doing File to JDBC Scenario using SQL Server database.I am having some doubts in doing this Scenario, please give me some clarification on those.I already completed this scenario using MS Access database.
SQL Server installed on my local machine.
1.For MS Access I used Business Service for both Sender and Receiver. Can I use Business Service for Sender and Receiver in this case also? Do I need to compulsory use Business System for the Receiver?  Do I need to give information regarding my local machine in that Business System in SLD?
2.After going through some documents on JDBC Scenarios,i came to know that, the only difference between using MS Access and SQL Server is ,configuring Receiver Communication Channel parameters and Deploying the corresponding Driver on XI Server though SDM.Is this the only change?or Is there any other change need to do?Please suggest me.....
3.In Receiver Communication channel configuration at Connection parameter we are giving -
    jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://172.16.202.57:1433;databaseName=xxxx.
My system IP Address is  172.16.202.57
Will the Port Number always 1433 for local machine?
4.Throught out the whole scenario we were giving the Database Name in Receiver Communication channel and Table Name in Data structure of Receiver. Is this sufficient to determine the Correct Data base and Correct Table name?Or Anywhere else do we need to give the Table name or Database name?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Ramana.
*POINTS WILL BE REWARDED TO THE ANSWERS.*

    Hi
1.You can Business Service for Sender and Receiver in this case also. No need to go for Systems. The scenario is going to be the same.
2.The only difference is in the configuration of Receiver Communication Channel and the parameters are URL Connection String and name of the driver.
Also the corresponding Driver for SQL server needs to be deployed on XI Server using SDM.
3.Not in all the cases you specify a port number.I had connected to Max DB using the connection as
    jdbc:sapdb://DBServerName/DBName
    4. Yes it is sufficient because the Receiver Structure of JDBC is defined in such a manner.

  • Doubts in Classic Scenario

    Hi Friends,
    i am having a doubt...
    Let’s say in classic scenario
    1) SHC created in SRM
    2) PO replicated in ECC in Editable mode & in display
    mode in SRM
    Question 1:
If I change PO qty in ECC(as its in editable mode) will it get updated in SRM PO?(i.e changes we do in PO at ECC level will be updated in SRM?)
    Question 2:
If I do Goods receipt & Invoice in ECC  for the same PO will it replicated in SRM as GC and Invoice against the PO?
    Thanks,
    San

    Hi Konstantin,
    Thanks for the resonse...
    My question is..
In classic scenario we have editable PO in ECC & Non Editable PO in SRM(Display Mode) am i correct?
    If i am correct...
Lets say in classic scenario i have created PO-XYZ for 100 Qty from SHC?It will be editable in ECC and non editable in SRM,so i go and change PO -XYZ qty in ECC as 80 qty or 120 qty, this changes we did in ECC will be updated in PO-XYZ available in SRM(in display mode)???
    Similary
Lets say in classic scenario i have created PO-XYZ for 100 Qty from SHC?It will be editable in ECC and non editable in SRM,
I can do GR either in ECC or SRM? am i correct?
    If i am correct..
If i do GR for a PO-XYZ in ECC,Is this update/follow on document(i.e GR posted for the PO) will be updated in SRM PO-XYZ(available in display mode) follow on document tab/History tab?
    Thanks,

  • Doubts in Accounting scenario of Custom Duty in SAP

    hi,
can anybody give me the journal entries for material and capital goods being imported and duty paid and Cenvat taken in sap and its relavance with MM.(considering CIN)
also i want to clarify my doubts regarding the custom duty(10%+Custom cess) which is a cost to company its effects in SAP.(whether charged to inventory).
    thanks in advance.
    regards,

    Hi,
    >>><i>when in SLD .... you have buttons for creation of "new product" and "new software version component" ..... when SLD is set to show all the products/Software version components automatically by SAP.... what is the need of these two buttons?</i>
SLD shows all the products and SWCV of SAP. The button you have specified allow us to create our own software component versions and products.
One of the reasons as to why we create software component versions,is for modularity.
Moreover, each of the namespaces under a SWCV has some commonality.
    >>><i>when my XI server is connected to R/3 systems i am not able to see this product (R/3 system) in SLD .... but i am able to import the IDOC/RFC to XI server.... why is that happening?</i>
You will find an entry for R/3 in the technical system list.
    >>><i>Well! it also said by one of our gurus that R/3 systems should be defined in SLD of XI to be seen in SLD of XI... as your basis guy is quite busy to answer ... can some one me help to answer my curiousity?</i>
Yes! If this is not done, how will xi know where the R/3 system is? You will have to tell xi, that r/3 is at this IP right? This is what you do in SLD.

  • Doubt in Integration Scenario

    Hi All,
I wuld like to know whether  I can  create a Integration Scenario after completing the Configuration steps (eventhough it doesnt make much sense)

    Hi Aarthi,
Its not mandatory to create the integration scenario.
The integration Scenario in IR will be useful for re-presenting the whole flow of the interface.
If you do the itegration scenrio in Design time then you do not need to follow the stpes which is required in configuration like creating Aggrement, determination and all. you just need to import the scenario from integration repository that will avoid configure part.
Usually during the audit time the auditor checks whether IS is designed or not? as that is the good practive to design ur scenario with IS.
    Companion Guide to Integration scenario
    /people/venkat.donela/blog/2006/02/17/companion-guide-to-integration-scenario
It will be good loaction to get all the information about whole interface.
You could either create or transport the same Integration scenario in ID.
With the use of Integration scenario you could model the whole interface with all minute details
It comes under best practices. So if you create the IS it will be very easy for you to understand the and designe the business flow. Morevere becomes very easy while creating/configuring the Integration Directory, you just need to import the design objects form IR.
If you will not create IS, there is no harm. So it all depends upon client and also you.
    Thanks,
    Vijaya.

  • Doubt in Integration Scenario Configurator- Not able to assing sender chane

    Hi All,
i have imported the integration scenario to the Directory.
Assigned the relevant business services to both Sender and Receiver.
I am able to assign a Receiver Communication Channel.
But for sender system communication system , it shows 'Not Required'. i am not able to do anything. Sender is a Third Party System. I have created a sender JMS channel under it.
could someone suggest what is to be done?

If you configured your sender BS and CC correctly it must show..
one try go and create a dummy sender agrement for the same interface check it is allowing there ,,if yes then u doing something wrong in configuaration scenarion.

  • Doubt in Integration Scenario Creation

    Hi All,
My scenario is file to Idoc.Need to create a Integration Scenario. I have stored all the Interface and Mapping objects in teh same Software Component Version (say SWCA). So in Integration Scenario, What will be the Sender and Receiver Software Components. Will SWCA act as both Sender and Receiver or I need ot select SAPR3 for Receiver System.
And will teh actions be external or internal?

    Hi,
the SCV is just a compnenet where you will design all the objects, under Integration scenario you will assign the sender and receiver communciation points in integration directory.
Actions are indicating as the triggering points for sender and receiver interface. If you will be using outside the SCV then it will external and for internal purpose have to select as internal

  • File2RFC Scenario in XI-want to send and the response of rfc by mail/fil

I have an File to RFC scenario in PI.The initial requirement was to just pick the file and update the data in sap.its file to rfc sceanrio in XI...
*Now i need to send the response of the rfc function module via file or could be via mail*
Please tell me the best way to approach..howdo i handel this scenario.
    Thanks.
    Rohan Patil.

    Hello Rohan,
In your case you can follow two approaches.
    1. If need to send RFC Response through Mail Use BPM
    2. IF need to send via File
2.1 you can implement with the  BPM
2.2 you can implement the same without BPM also(but needed SP10 of PI7.0 for this implementation by using standard modules check wiki for the same )

  • XI doubt and test scenario

    Hi,
I need some advice on the following:
We are having XI 3.0, ECC 5.0 and also have GIS Server (Gentran). We need to use these servers to convert the data from XML to IDOC (inbound to sap) as well as to XML from IDOC (outbound). We came to know GIS will take care of converting the outside data to XML and send it across to XI as IDOC as well as take the IDOC from XI and convert it as XML before sending data outside. The question is what are the configuration to be done in ECC, XI and GIS to make the things happen. Do we need to use any adapter or XI itself has got any inbuilt adapter ? is there any blog or any link to any document which tells about configuration and any test scenario to try the above mentioned scenario ?
At present not much data's in ECC system, in this case is there any test scenario provided by SAP in XI or ECC to test some initial scenario like sending data from ECC to XI as an IDOC for file integration...
Let me know if any more information required from my side.
    Thanks

from sap sending (ALEAUD01 idoc id :abc ,ref to 123 for SAP PI) and receiving SAP is (idoc id :123)
then from sap pi sending(xml-ack ref to :xyz?) to otm and receiving from otm to sap pi is (xml msg id:xyz)
    this is the scenario
    plz suggest some idea

  • Hi all,i have some doubts about dis scenario

plz explain step by  step about this scenario·
1)Involved in two activities Monitoring and Production Support.
    ·     2)Actively and regularly involved in Load Monitoring of Daily, Weekly, and Monthly, Data Loads using Process Chains
    ·     3)Actively involved in Rectification of Load Failure Errors like Master Data Loads, Transaction Loads.
    ·     4)Supported the Client by providing Long-term solutions to the Tickets by doing Root Cause Analysis.
    ·     5)Monitoring of Info Packages and analyzing the reasons for frequent failures of Info Packages.

    Hi,
Here, there are some responsibilities in Production System.
Answer for fist question is maintaining documentation (in ms word ) for all support related activities like
    a) frequently occurred data load monitoring errors as part of process chains
    b) how to analyze whether load is running for long time
    c) what ever the tickets with proper priority we have to raise. ex: if a load cause affecting more reports , we have to raise p2 ticket . Depends upon the impact of loads on report availability.
    Answer for second question :
In prod.support, we have to monitor info package groups or process chains because loads are automatized using pchains or ipgroups. . whenever a load failed as part of pchains or ipg's , we have to analyse the load why it is failed. Loads may be failed due to reasons like memory issues, attribute change run locking issues and sid issues etc.
    Answer for third questions:
In perigreen ticketing tool, we can check tickets like system generated tickets and customer generated tickets . For example,. Tivoli tickets are system generated tickets because whenever pchain is not triggered or any process of pchain has failed, system automatically will raise the tickets.
Custom generated tickets means as part of daily loads, any failures happened, with proper priority ,we will raise the ticket to appropriate resolution groups. ( Incident management tickets )
Rms means Request management tickets are requests raised by client. For example if they want adhoc loads on the part of mexico markets, they will raise the Rm and sent it to the offshore queue.
    Answer for fourth question:
We can maintain excel sheet, it comprises of what are the loads have failed with the error information as part of process chains or ipg's and maintain the logs for manual loads
daily how many loads are failed ,successful and what are the total loads , can check in RSMO.That information we can maintain in excel sheet.
Root cause Analysis is nothing but giving permanent solution to the frequent errors.
    Ali.

  • Doubts on IDOC Scenarios

    Hi Experts,
    1) How many Business/Technical Systems created for <b>IDOC to File</b> and
    <b>File to IDOC</b>?
    2) Is it necessary to create Business systems while doing above scenarios (both cases) ?
    3) Is it necessary to create RFC Destination (like R/3 to XI and XI to R/3) while doing above scenarios (both cases) ?
    4) What is Partner profiles? Is it necessary to choose the type while doing IDOC configurations?

  • Clarification of doubt in File-XI-JDBC scenario

I had one doubt in this scenario.can anybody Plz clarify in this scenario File-XI-JDBC.
1)where we have to specify the table name in the receiver JDBC comm channel to insert the data into sql database from file.My doubt is,there are so many tables in existence.in the comm channel i am not mentioning the table name any where.
currently i am using SQL server and created one table name "EMP" with n columns.
2)Is i need to configure this sql driver to the J2ee server or by default this will be shipped with XI?
3)Generally,what are the datbase drivers shipped with XI?
    Thanks in Advance
    Sridhar Raju

    Hi Sridhar
    1) You dont require to mention the name of table in comm channel. You specify it in your data type . your xml format should be
    <root>
      <StatementName1>
    <dbTableName action=”UPDATE” | “UPDATE_INSERT”>
        <table>realDbTableName</table>
    <access>
    <col1>val1</col1>
    <col2>val2new</col2>
    </access>
    <key1>
    <col2>val2old</col2>
    <col4>val4</col4>
    </key1>
    <key2>
    <col2>val2old2</col2>
    </key2>
    </dbTableName>
      </StatementName1>
Please refer the link for more detail
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/2e/96fd3f2d14e869e10000000a155106/content.htm
    2) Basically there is an driver file which has to be deployed to the server. But it may be there by default.
You configure and check your scenario, if driver file is not deployed you will get the message in RWB-> Adapter Monitoring.
