Doubts in installing MS CRM

I am installing MS Dynamics CRM 4.0 server in windows server 2003. Its asking me to install Ms visual C++ runtime. Even i installed it by downloading Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86). Still its asking me to install. Any help?

Want to install Siebel CRM in my PC for integrating with UCM.

I am very familiar with Oracle UCM and trying to integrate with Siebel CRM. I have UCM 11g installed in my PC with Oracle 11g DB and also I know the configuration process or steps from siebel end as well as UCM end. Now I want to install Siebel CRM for this integration.
I searched in orcale and found that I need the below softawres and also I downloaded it from e-delivery:
Oracle Base Application (V26510-01_1of2 and V26510-01_2of2)
Oracle Siebel Image creator(V26511-01)
Oracle DB11g: OracleXEUniv
RCU
What should I do now?
1. Is the above softwares enough for installation of Siebel ? If yes then can anyone please tell me the installation guide docs.
2. Should I require more softawre ?
3. I have also V26699-01_1of6 to V26699-01_6of6 setup files for siebel but I do not know whether I should install from these because I do not have any idea regarding this setup files.

I think you also need V14496-01 Part 1 of 2 and V14496-01 Part 2 of 2 (English Language Extension Packs).

The latest Siebel versions are 8.1.1.10 and 8.2.2.3. The release (8.1.1.x or 8.2.2.x) will depend on your requirements, you can discuss this with your Oracle contact.
You can install client/tools in windows 7 64 bit. The server environment is not supported in windows 7. Here is a link to the SRSP guides:

Gateway 2.0 install to CRM OCS package SAPK-250AGINIWFND does not match

i try to install gateway 2.0 in crm 7.31.
i have successfull install gw-core 200,i have already the WEBCUI 731, but when i go to install the second package (IW-FND 250) the saint return me this error.
OCS package SAPK-250AGINIWFND does not match

I have update my spam-saint but nothing change.

However to define the queue in SAINT or to install the add-on on a NW731 system please include the released ACP(attribute change package) for the addon "IW_FND====250" released in SMP.

Identification field in installed Base-CRM Service

We are creating installed base components from ECC to CRM ie, from equipments in CS module to installed base objects in CRM.
The serial number entered in ECC flows in to CRM Service in component details tab in individual obejct automatically.
equipments created in IE01 will flow to CRM and can be viewed in ib53.
We want to copy the serial number field to identification field to enable better search capabilities.

B) Create the categories and hierarchies you require for your object families. At least one of these categories must be created within the base hierarchy for the product type Material and then assigned to the relevant object family.
1) To create Category go to T.code COMM_HIERARCHY and in the Tab "Category" you will find a field called "Object Family", choose the right Object family
2) In the Tab "Set Types" add the set types you want to include

A doubt when installing multiboot

Hi there guys! I have a doubt!
Right now, I was trying to install multiboot (a multiboot usb key creator) in my arch, which I run in dual boot with crunchbang linux. When I installed arch, I skipped the grub part, because I hold onto my crunchbang grub2.
Now, when I install multiboot, pacman asks me to install grub2 and to remove grub (which, normally, eve though I skipped it in the arch install, was anyway installed in my system, without touching the MBR though). Can I go straight with this and remove grub installing grub2? Will this change my crunchbang MBR grub2 behavior? Or would it be peacefully without consequences?

Does Compliance Calibrator come installed with CRM 2007

We will be installing CRM 2007 in May and I need to know if Compliance Calibrator is installed as part of the application. Currently we are running CC 3.0 in R/3, HR and BW. If the new version is part of CRM 2007 then we need to upgrade to the newest version. I also need to know if the CC is not part of CRM 2007, will CC 3.0 technically work in CRM 2007.

Note 1120400 is obsolete we have CRM 6 SP2 and our patch level is 15.
Besides we have a delta between tables entries:
USOBX     => 103.391
USOBX_C     => 103.389
and
USOBT     => 43.785
USOBT_C     => 43.769
Do these tables have the same number of entries in your system? What could be the impact of this delta?

[SOLVED]Some doubts before installing (UEFI)

Hi all , I recently bought a acer aspire one 756 this come with windows 8 and uefi . I want install Arch and remove w8 . but i have some doubts
first of all this is my hard drive
can i remove all partitions and then create efi , / , /home etc ?
and second when i enter the uefi boot menu see this
I guess windows boot manager is deleted (when i delete all windows partitions) , but what appears instead? grub or the boot manager I choose?

You can remove all your partitions; however, when creating new ones, you must decide how you want to use your computer:
BIOS mode -- This is the traditional way to boot a computer. Most modern firmware supports this mode through a Compatibility Support Module (CSM), aka "legacy mode;" however, the firmware is actually much more complex than this. Using BIOS/CSM/legacy mode may be more familiar to you if you're used to a traditional BIOS-mode GRUB or other BIOS-mode boot loaders. If you want to boot in this way, I recommend converting your disk from the GPT mode it's using now to the older MBR mode. (Linux can actually boot in BIOS/CSM/legacy mode from a GPT disk, but some EFIs make this difficult, and if you subsequently decide you want Windows on the computer, the BIOS/GPT combination will cause problems.)
EFI mode -- Your computer definitely supports EFI, and this method of booting offers a few advantages, such as faster boot times and better control over boot loaders. OTOH, EFI-mode booting is still new and there are still significant glitches. Most of these are system-specific, so it's impossible for me to say whether your computer will be a difficult one in this respect. Using GPT with an EFI mode boot is highly recommended (and sometimes required, depending on the firmware).
If you go with an EFI-mode boot, be sure to create an EFI System Partition (ESP). Your partition #2 is an ESP, so you can either keep that or delete it and create a new one. Creating a new one may be preferable, since it will be empty of Windows stuff and you can make it the size you want. (I recommend 550 MiB.)
Contrary to what magicalChicken wrote, a boot loader is required to boot Linux on an EFI system. There's an Arch wiki page on the options; or you can read my own Web page on the subject. Arch requires you to set up your own boot loader, so you should be at least passingly familiar with the options before you begin. When you install your boot loader or boot manager, it should appear in your firmware's boot manager menu (your second screen shot). Windows might linger as an entry there, although some EFIs will delete it when they see that it's no longer available. If not and you want to remove it, you can use the Linux efibootmgr utility to do the job, or some other tools can do it (including some EFIs' user interfaces, although that's not universally possible).

Error in JAVA install in CRM

Hi,
I am doing Java Add On installation in CRM system (after upgrade from CRM 3.0 to 5.0). Its in central instance installation phase(SCS and DB instance done). I am getting an error in 'Enter the central instance ' input phase. There are 4 entries in the drop down with same instance name. I have tried to go ahead with each entry, however its giving error message that 'Caught EKdException in Modulecall: single select returns more than on row '.
Any ideas?

Installed Base CRM Service

Hello!
I'm busy with the implementation of an Installed base with various attributes and set types. I have also set up an Object family which is connected to my created Ibase category and the settypes. I searched for information to get it visual in the screens when you create an Ibase and I found information about hierarchy maintenance and categories. Although I created my own hierarchy with category and I linked my settypes to it I cannot get it into process!
Can someone tell me what to do for getting this working?!! Thanks!
