Down Load Flashplayer issue?

I'm trying to download flashplayer 8 to watch my daughters soccer match at UNLV. The UNLV site says I need to download flash 8 abd directs me to the adobe website. I downloaded, it says successful but then when I return to gametracker it sends me back to get flash 8. I have been trying for awhile today and during the whole game on Friday. Any help would be great

Flash Player 8 is a very old version.

After downloading, you need to install the same. Double-click the downloaded file after closing the browsers.

The 127.0.0.1 address points to your local machine. This indicates that something is getting redirected back to your local computer (typically because the web content itself is being re-written as it comes in). Security products and malware both tend to do this.

What is your operating system, version &edition?
What is your web browser?
When do you get that password message, during the download, or during the install?
If you are using a non-admin account, then you may need to enter the administrator password during the install.

Sorry to say it, but I think you can see from Bob's response that there's no way to solve this rapidly.
Did you take an image of your Mountain Lion install before upgrading to Yosemite? Roll back to that. If you're not in the habit of taking a snapshot of your system before performing operating system upgrades - get in that habit. If you are dependent on anything at all on hour computer, having a reliable backup method in place is essential. If you don't have a Time Capsule, or some other way to run Time Machine onto a disk that's not in your computer, go set that up yesterday.
If you can't just remove Yosemite and roll back to Mountain Lion for whatever reason, you can partition your drive so that you can install both Yosemite and Mountain Lion on the same drive, and then boot into Mountain Lion when you need to work in CS5. Or you can take your Mountain Lion disc (I assume you have one, no?) and then use it to create a virtual machine in something like VirtualBox to run Mountain Lion from inside Yosemite.

The frames are blank but indicates that there is a photo there. The majority of photos are blank but about a tenth are seen . i apparently need to retrace where they went but do not know how to get that done . can someone help please?

It would be difficult to tell you where to begin. If you moved photos around to different folders and didn't use Lightroom to move them, that would cause Lightroom to lose track of where they are. You have to remember that your images are not "in" Lightroom. Lightroom simply points to them wherever they are on your computer. All of the location information as well as the changes that you make to your images is stored in the catalog, which is a database. This catalog is central to the operation of Lightroom, and it's essential that you understand how it works and how to make it work for you. For all of those images that have "?" On them, or the folders that have the same, you will have to go through the process of locating them and showing Lightroom where they are located. With 18,000 images, and many of them missing, it might just be easier to start a new catalog and organize things properly from the beginning in that catalog.

I've tried to down load the adobe flash player and I'm having issues, I'm doing everything right then this stupid black screen comes up and nothing happens?

The big Step 1 button that says Install doesn't install anything. It downloads the installer to your Mac. Note that Step 2 tells you what to do next:
To proceed, open your download folder and locate the Adobe Flash Player Installer file, named like "AdobeFlashPlayer[xxx]_install.dmg”.
The file you'll find there should be named:
AdobeFlashPlayer_17_ta_install.dmg
Double click the .dmg file to open it. You'll see this:
Click the "Install Adobe Flash Player" package. When the installation is done, you can close this window and dismount the .dmg file by putting the "drive" icon that appeared on the desktop in the trash. You can then delete the .dmg file as you no longer need it.
The Step 3 Adobe shows is completely pointless.

despite best efforts = only way to open downloaded files was to use winzip - the adobe opener would not work. WinZip brought with it at least 9 virus lie additions I had to remove. On opening CS6 I decided to continue in trial mode as I need to be sure I can up ate as necessary. I Having tried several ways to update all failed as the adobe down loader could not be down loaded first. I beginning to think after 14 wasted hours and zero support from adibe sales and tech with no case numbers given - I will just stick with CS5 and get my money back - any ideas on how I can get CS6 to update the offers shown will be welcome

You're misinterpreting the symptoms. Something is seriously wrong on your system and based on your description of false positives and the unpacker not working I'd say you need to find a better system security software or at least learn how to make it behave...

I think this issue has already been resolved in other discussions, please review Apple Discussions more carefully before you start a new discussion. This makes it easier for people to find the "resolved" discussions when searching for the anwers, like you are.
But I'll still give you some info.
I would suggest that you sign into your iTunes Store account using a computer as mobile devices can sometimes not update the info on your iTunes Store account(all based on connection and some security features on your account). Once you sign in, click the arrow next to your email address in the upper right corner of the screen and then click "Account". In the Apple ID summary, you can click edit in the payment section and then you need to click "None" that appears. Try these steps:

(If you are not already signed in, you will need to enter your iTunes Store account name and password and then click the Account Info button to sign in.)
The Apple Account Information page will appear. On this page, click the Edit Payment Information button, which is the second button from the top.
On the Edit Payment Information page, select "None" from the list of credit card types. This will delete your billing information.
Be sure to click the Done button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
Please note: you cant remove your credit card if have an outstanding balance without providing a new credit card or iTunes Store Gift Card(needs to process all payments before you can remove a credit card). Also, any active allowances or subscrtiptions(i think) will not allow the credit card to be removed.
Some people are not given the option to remove their credit card. This indicates a billing issue with your account. Email iTunes Store Support for assitance, but I would make sure you havn't used the iTunes Store account for a while(week) and then try again.
All Apple ID info is private, so only the accoutn owner can edit the information. I suggest that you keep trying and trying after restarting your computer and many sign in and sign outs before you give up.
