Down loading itunes

I live in the country and the only option at this time for me is dial up (that I know of, except Hughes sattelite, but I have heard that that is not much better then dial up). When I go to down loan itunes it would take a long time and everytime I try to do it I get knocked off before it is finished and does not complete down load, so then I have to try again. Anyway to down load faster?? ideas to help me out?? The tech told me I have to down loan itunes for them to help me with a problem that I am having with my iphone (I can only here the other person if I put them on speaker), please any advice!!

I hear you about the dial-up situation. There are some download manager programs that will keep the connection active so you won't get knocked off your dial-up. I can't give any recommendations, because I have not had to use one for several years.
Other options:
1) Go to a wireless cafe next time you're in town and DL itunes from there
2) Have a friend burn a CD with the itunes Setup.exe on it and mail it to you.

Itunes like, shut down after i down loaded itunes 9. it wont open. HELPP!!

So i have (or had) over 2000 songs on my itunes. its my life. so i downloaded the newest version of itunes (itunes 9) and now when i try to open itunes, it bounces once and dosent open. i tryed restarting the computer and re down loading itunes 9. my computer is a kinda old desk top Mac OS X 10.4.10. How do I down load iTunes version 11.1 or greater on my iPad. Seems like it would be the latest version since I just bought it today

You may be getting this message if you are trying to activate your new iOS device using an older instalation of iTunes on your computer.

You should not have to download and install iTunes from Apple in order to get the latest version on your Mac. You should be able to choose Software Update from the Apple () menu.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

If you mean your content then have you copied it onto your new computer from your backup and added it to its iTunes via File > Add To Library ? If you haven't got a backup then if you have any of your purchases on your iPod then you should be able to copy them to your new computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases, or you might be able to re-download some/all of your previous purchases (what content types you can re-download depend upon which country that you are in and whether it's still in the store) : re-downloading.

If you have installed iTunes on your new computer, make sure you have downloaded or copied the songs to the new computer as well. The steps in this article can help with copying your music to a new computer:

There are lots of volunteers here that love to help. Nobody can do more than guess without a lot more detailed information. Worse, "down load" has come to mean so many things, you are not providing a single clue as to what is not working.

On the apple store I have Itunes I have purchased. This is music I want to put on my new Ipad. I can not down load this music, the music in the pass and the music I purchased yesturday. Why is this a problem?

If you have 64bit Vista or Windows 7, look for the seperate download of iTunes for that further down the page.
Once installed, use the Apple Software Update under your Start Menu to fully update all Apple components.
Your content will remain on the drive in the Music > iTunes Folder, nothing is deleted.
You should be making backups of your content regularly, either through iTunes or via copying the iTunesFolder in your Music folder to a external drive.
Windows is notorious for having "other" issues that make it unstable, we as volunteers helping others can't always resolve those issues.
After doing the steps above, stand by and others may be able to assist you.

Where are you trying to download to? If you are trying to get it on your computer, files usually get added to a download folder. Look in that type of folder or do a search for it.
