I just puchased a couple of apps. They won't download because they aren't compatible with my current version on my ipod touch 4g Where do i go to download a new version and how do i do this?

if its an firmware update for the ipod touch plug your ipod touch in to you pc/laptop,
open itunes and click on your ipod and click on update

Error -3259 while loading 2.0 for iPod Touch

I bought software 2.0 on my iMac G4 with the lastest version of iTunes, and everytime I try to load the software, a error -3259 comes. I called my internet supplier and the guy told me that my connexion was alright, so I just don't know what to do...

Because it's for the iPhone, you need the iPod touch 2.0 software, which is different.

Itunes version for ipod touch 1st generation

i recently upgraded to itunes 10 (the itunes version that i was told to install while my 1g was logged into my old version of itunes).
the upgrade was a little long and repetitive but it went fine.
unfortuneately itunes 10 does not recognize a 1g:

First of all, the page I referenced previously, http://support.apple.com/kb/SP3 states that the Touch requires iTunes 7.6. So to your question:
in wikipedia ... there is a compatability chart that list the 1g as being compatible with itunes 7.4. is this true?

Don't know what that's all about. Let's ignore that for the time being as you say your machine is 64bit.

Well, we don't know yet, but did you do as I suggested in my post on 15th Dec, and have you then checked out the links provided by lllaass? Namely:
A. have you tried disconnecting and re-connecting the iPod again? This is the simplest thing you can do. My Touch is sometimes not recognised the first time I plug it in. I unplug it and try again. Sometimes I have to do this two or three times.
B. go to Apple page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1495 - (iPhone, iPad, or) *iPod touch:* Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
C. go to Apple page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 - (iPhone, iPad, or) iPod is not recognized by Windows due to driver installation issues
You should do the above points, A,B & C before assuming that iTunes 10 doesn't work with a 1G Touch because as far as I can see, it should. You should also stop believing every negative thing people post on these forums.
I've made a suggestion or two, based on my experience and lllaass has suggested you check out two Apple documents that specifically discuss iTunes not recognising an iPod, the exact problem you are experiencing. That suggests that the symptom is known about and that Apple probably have a cure for it.
All the non-working links and "compatibilty charts" you've found (but I cannot) should be ignored, along with hearsay, because it's all "Red Herrings". It _will and is_ mis-leading you.

New Version of iPod Touch

Does any one know if Apple will be releasing a new iPod touch with more memory in the coming months? Like they did with the 5th gen iPod, we now have 80 & 160GB iPods.
I been wanting to purchase an iPod touch, but I want one with bigger memory.

This is just an educated guess based on past experience: If Apple didn't release a new iPod touch at Macworld, then they probably won't release one for at least a few months. I assume they will eventually release one, but I wouldn't expect it before summer, if then.

Was getting error after down loading new version

Just want to thank turingtest2 for all is help I went and did as he told me by removing itunes, apple software updates, Apple Mobile divice support, Bonjour, Apple Application support and rebooted my computer and down loaded Itunes and now it work again. Thank you so much and your were a great help. Steve.

Hi sachin,
This error generally occur when you miss the .dll(Interop.SAPbobsCOM.dll/Interop.SAPbouiCOM.dll) file when you creating addon. Now create a new addon add the all required .dll file in addon.
Or
You can try like : disconnect the addon and copy the .dll file and paste it in addon folder where addon is installed.

First, open Finder, go to Applications folder and delete iWork '06. Then, open Pages and it will use the most recent version

New ideas for ipod touch

Here are my ideas for the ipod touch, put a flash light on it. I have a flash light on my t-mobile cell phone and I would like on on my ipod touch or iphone. Historically, a flash light uses little energy but useful during emergencies. Currently customers use their screens as light but there is a power saver. In case of an emergency, I want to be able to use a flash light without altering the power saver.

Why are my options to create a new version for ipod or iphone don't work?

I've just downloaded the digital copy of the little mermaid & in the end, it didn't wnt to sync, so I searched a little on how I can make it work.
It was mostly the same answer that I found everywhere:
select the File menu > Create New Version > Create iPad or Apple TV version. Once the media has been converted, sync the iPad version to the iPad.
But the thing is, I tried & my options when I click on create new version, they all stay gray, why? It is so frustrating

Hi, welcome to Apple Discussions.
Select all the tracks of the album and *Get Info*. On the Info tab fill in the *Album Artist* e.g. as "Various Artists" or on the Options tab set *Part of a compilation* to Yes. Ideally (see link below) do both. If iTunes is organising your tracks then those set as compilations will end up in the Compilations folder, otherwise *Album Artist* overrides Artist.
You can edit these properties before you rip a CD (1), or for existing files (2 & 3).
For further details see Grouping Tracks Into Albums. Although aimed at linking things within iTunes/iDevices if you fix all the potential problems described therein it will also do most if not all of the work required to tidy up the folders in Explorer/Finder. Windows users may find that iTunes fails to move artwork files created by Windows Media Player for which I have written a script called CleanDeadArt.

Installing new software for ipod touch.

Thanx to all who replyed to my situation. I have since been able to dwnload & install 4.0.2. software sucessfully to my ipod touch. Although it took at least 5 attempts I reinstalled itunes newest version (9.1.2) then clicked update,then unpluged my ipod,before the update was finished i re-plugged the ipod and it dwnloaded then began backin up my pod. At last sucess!!!!I would urge y`all to keep trying as eventually it will downlaod.I have since reported the problem to apple,the more reports they recieve the quicker they will resolve this situation. Hope someone finds this review helpful
