Downgrade 7921 under firmware 1.3.3

hi,
I have a UC500 solution with 7921 phone. (autonomous AP with EAP-FAST authentification)
Since I upgraded my UC500 in 8.6, I have problems with wireless communications. In the 8.6 package it's firmware 1.4.1 for 7921 phone
I tried 1.4.3.4 and 1.4.5 firmware. I have the same problems
I want to restore the old firmware 1.2.1 for testing
Do you have a procedure for the 7921 downgrade under 1.3.3?
Is it possible to downgrade under 1.3.3?
Sincerely

Look for the update in the Utilities folder and double-click it.

  • Downgrade to previous firmware on other computer??

    Hi,
I'm new here. I've all threads about downgrading and it didn't help
I got iPOD 3rd gen with 1.1.3 firmware and i got Nike+ sport kit also. After upgrading to 1.1.3 my reciever can not find sensor. I've read on that forum that it is due that firmware and downgrade to 1.1.2 could help.
And there is a problem and my question to you.
Is it possible to downgrade it to firmware 1.1.2?
I made an upgrade from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 on the other computer and now i havnt access to that PC so i need to do it on the other.
I mention it to let you know that i havnt *.ipsw files, i havnt even folder in apple directory where that files should be.
Could anybody help me? Have you got any solution for me?
My sensor is OK. I've checkec history in my iPOD for "low battery warning" and there is no information that battery need to be changed.
    Thanks for any tips.

Anybody know how to solve my problem?
Maybe you've got *.ipsw files from 1.1.2 firmware on your PC and u can upload it somewhere?
    Plz help me!
    P.S.
Sorry for mistakes but i'm not native English.

  • 7921 wich firmware versions are these?

    Hi,
I have seen these firmware versions in some of my 7921 iphones (trough web GUI or ip phone menu):
    System Load ID CP7921G-MFG-C.2.LOADS
    System Load ID CP7921G-MFG-A.7.LOADS
    What firmware version are?
    Best Regards,
    MC

D.7 equates to 1.3(4)SR1.  If pre-loaded with that mfg image then more than likely you have a 7921 hw rev that can not downgrade to 1.3(3).
We do have a 1.3.3.0.3 ES that can be loaded onto the 7921s and has the same scanning and roaming logic.
Otherwise would suggest to upgrade to 1.4(1)SR1, which is available on Cisco.com for download, but the scanning and roaming logic was altered a bit as of the 1.3(4) release.
If you want 1.3.3.0.3, open a TAC case.
If you want to go forward with the latest generally available phone load, would suggest to try on a phone or two first before doing a bulk upgrade.  Can extract the zip contents and upload 1 by 1, restart TFTP service,  set the necessary phones to the desired phone load, then restart the 792x phone to upgrade the image.
This way will not impact other phone firmware.

Nope, you are out of luck as far as downgrading goes. I'd try to reload the device one more time.
    Could you please explain?
Use the Nokia Software updater to reinstall the software. When you go to install it tells you that you have the current latest version, and if you want to reinstall it. It downloads in most cases a fresh copy of the firmware and reinstalls it.
I have no problems with the latest firmware on mine. It might also be worth resetting it to factory defaults as well.
    Shunts...
I will mostly be communicating with a Nokia E72 Zodium Black
Nokia E72-1 with Vr 051.018.207.04 Software
If this post helped... Add some kudos!!

  • Downgrading Time Capsule firmware versions for OS X 10.6.8

I have a first generation Time capsule and I recently installed firmware version 7.6.4. Following the update there have been various problems with my network. I presume the problems were caused because I am running OS X 10.6.8 and the particular version requires OS X 10.7.5 or later. I know how to retrieve the previous version but I forget the number and I can't seem to find it in the various discussions. Any suggestions? Thanks

The one I find best with Snow Leopard is 7.5.2
Although some people suggested 7.5.1 .. anyhow either of those two should fix you up.
In v5 utility. Select upload firmware.
It will show upgrades but not downgrades.
Hold down the option key and click the available versions.
    Proceed with the downgrade.

When I plug / unplug the Headphones I notice the noise too.
I was thinking about a hardware problem; but I downgraded the firmware to 1.0.3 for ensure; and the noise disappeared!!

  • Downgrading Nokia 5230 firmware?

I downloaded and installed the latest 20.0.005 update for my Nokia 5230, and it offered nothing in the way of performance gains and new features, but instead slowed the device down and removed the ability to skip through more than 4 songs per use.
Is there a way to downgrade from 20.0.005 to good old 12.X.XXX?

It isn't possible to roll back firmware updates. I would suggest you try the *#7370# reset which I would recommend doing after firmware updates. Remember to backup your data.

  • Downgrading iPod Nano Firmware

Does anybody know how to downgrading apple iPod Nano Firmware ?

It may be on Apple's site somewhere, but transmitting it any other way is piracy and therefore a violation of the terms of this forum.
Downgrading firmware is almost never an appropriate way to troubleshoot. If you post complete descriptions of your specific problems, we could probably provide some better ideas.

  • Is it possible to downgrade using old firmware file?

I own an iPhone 5s running iOS 8.1 and am very unhappy with the new firmware, mainly because I've been experiencing battery drain. I have the 7.1.2 ipsw file from when i first updated to iOS 7.1.2, could I be able to downgrade with this? Is this firmware still "signed" ? Just to be clear, it was downloaded in August, before the public release of 8.0.

So, you've gone as far as to follow all the steps in the article I linked, and also backed up the device and restored it as new, per this article: [Set up as a new device - Apple]?
If you have literally done all of this, then explain the amount of battery drain you're encountering.
Also, you can try this controlled test:
This test is best done overnight, because of the time involved.
    - First, charge up the device to 100%.  To enable the percentage indicator, go to Settings > General > Usage, and turn on Battery Percentage.
    - Once the device is charged to 100%, make sure to close out all Apps that are running on the device.  In iOS 7/8, you close out running apps by double-tapping the Home Button, and then swiping your finger up across the preview screen of each app to move it off the top of the screen.
    - Then, turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular data. Settings > Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi: OFF, Settings > Bluetooth > Bluetooth: OFF, & Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data: OFF.  This will not prevent you from receiving any phone calls, although it will may text messages.  If you want to still be able to get text messages overnight, leave Cellular Data ON.
    - Go back to the Home Screen, and take a screenshot.  Press both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together briefly, and you will see the screen flash white for a split-second, and an image will be saved to your Photo App Camera Roll.
    - Disconnect the iPhone from the charger, and lock the screen so it is dark.
    - Let the iPhone sit in this ‘standby state’ for as long as possible, preferably overnight.
    - In the morning, unlock the screen, and then take a screenshot of the Home Screen again.
These two screenshots will help to document how long the device was in standby mode, and how much battery percentage was used.

  • Downgrading my iMacs firmware? Possible?

Is it possible to downgrade firmware?
The only reason I ask is because I installed the latest firmware update for my aluminum and glass iMac, but it never restarted itself successfully. My iMac is now stuck in a perpetual start up loop that reaches the gray Apple logo and spiny thing, but doesn't go beyond that point.
I reset my PRAM, and I got to the login screen, but when I clicked my user icon to log in, my system stalled, got the spiny beach ball and eventually had to force restart...
    Start up loop continues...
Booting from my install discs doesn't tell me anything, it freezes in Disk Utility, and Hardware Test says All Systems Go....
I mean, Geez... a firmware install going bad??? ***??

Booting from my install discs doesn't tell me anything
Actually, yes it will if instead of opening Disk Utility you open System Profiler from that same "Utilities" menu and check which Boot ROM Version you now have. If the new one installed, you will not be able to restore the old.
I mean, Geez... a firmware install going bad?
If one does not follow the instructions exactly, yes, that will be the result. It's not that unusual, thus the existence of a restoration procedure.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303364
Since you don't see the black screen, it seems that you aren't a candidate for the restoration, that your update never got very far into the installation, if at all. The fact that you hear the long tone is good, but what's the problem that's stopping it from continuing after that point? External devices connected? RAID?

  • Port Mapping control page missing under firmware 7.3.2

The reference to "port mapping" on page 55 of the manual "Designing AirPort Networks Using AirPort Utility Mac OS X v10.5 + Windows" is now missing following upgrading my Time Capsule to firmware 7.3.2 - see:
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/DesigningAirPort_Networks10.5-Windows.pdf
Could anyone out there shed some light on where this functionality has gone?
Further to this can anyone advise where I might access firmware v 7.3.1 so that I can regain this functionality?

    This query can be disregarded.
It appears the v7.3.2 firmware upgrade reset the 'Connection Sharing' to 'Off (Bridge mode)'.

  • Issues Solves - Firmware Downgrade, iMac & AppleTV Losing Airport

Thanks to this forum. Just wanted to re-iterate these issues that were solved.
Sometimes things are just so simple you overlook them. To downgrade your AEBS firmware,
just go to manual setup, and when you hold your mouse over VERSION, you can select the previous version of firmware. As others have reported, I have found 7.2 to be better than 7.2.1.
As for the iMac losing the Airport, turns out the 5GHz mode was the culprit. I have since switched to 2.4GHz mode, and all is now stable.
Lastly the AppleTV was STILL having trouble with 2.4GHz mode. After letting it sit for awhile, I'd always have to type in my WPA2 password. Needless to say, that's a pain. Some have said switch to WEP, but WPA2 is more secure. So I have tried the other suggestion ... switch from Automatic Channel selection to a fixed Channel, specifically Channel 9. That has worked for me.
Until Apple releases firmware that can fix all these issues people are having,
    these are good workarounds.

I feel your pain. Started logging on this morning with our computers (once we got power back on from a broken pipe) and man is it a mess. My wifes MacBook Pro wont remember our ABES network, nor will it show up. If we select other from the drop down airport icon and manually type in the name and password it is fine until we shut it down or restart it.
Unfortunately, my daughters newer iBook G4 cant even find our network, however, it will find other networks floating around the neigborhood. Go figure!
My sons snow G3 iMac this morning is having the same problem as my daughters laptop.
Our G4 iMac has no problem at all getting on the network and/or remembering it and automatically connecting to it when restarted/shutdown.
My Toshiba M35 laptop cant find the network but will find others and connect to them.
My 2 Dell Inspiron 5100 (one with an internal and another with a Belkin PCMCIA wireless) both connected to the base stattion with no problems.
Now, isnt that weird or what? We have soft reset the AEBS several times as well as hard reset with the same results as above. Anybody have any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Sean
P.S. This is after we have been running the current network/setup for about a year with no hiccups. Got to love apple and its firmware upgrades!

  • Downgraded Firmware in Wireless AP/Router worked for me with iOS6

Update - Got it working.  I have a Netgear wireless access point WG102, it was running the latest firmaware 5.0.3 NA - I then DOWNGRADED it to firmware 5.0.1 and wa-la it works.
Not sure I like running older firmware, but at least iOS6 will connect to my Wi-Fi (WPA2/PSK) AES!

From what I gathered, about the Y2P Limited Wifi issue, this problem is solved by configurating a router to meet the computer needs. Once done, to fully implement this fix, it is adviced  that you carry this configured router and use it every where you go, like a power cord. When you go to Statbuck in the monrining, be sure they hook up your router and return it when you leave. Alternitively, this can be done at other venues like the airport, hotel, school, work, etc.
I really don't know why people keep wasteing their time. Lenovo has chimed in and said this is a router issue. That said, the aformentioned advice is a formulated fix.  Shall we put an end to thiese topics and get the forum moving again past the wifi issues? Like said many times, this issue has been fixed using the above reccomendation.
