Downgrade Firmware to 2.07.2

Hello,
I accidentally upgraded my firmware to the latest version for my wrt54g wireless router thinking it would fix some of the issues I experience using XboxLive. Unfortunately it has made things worse.
After a bunch of research I have found I need to downgrade the firmware back to v 2.07.2. Though I looked on the FTP ( ftp.linksys.com/downloads/NA/firmware ) site and the firmware directory is empty.
Can you please direct me to where I can get this version and advise me of any issues in attempting to revert to an older version?

Hey! look at what your trying to flash the router with... That's for a camera firmware that you indicated...try to look for the firmware file for the router..be careful coz it could get your router broken...make sure you are wired also on it alrighty?!

Podcast woes, would like to downgrade firmware iPod nano (4th gen.)

Every since I upgrade my iPod nano to firmware version 1.0.4, I can't seem to make playlists where multiple podcasts play one after the other - in all cases, it plays one podcast, then stops. As I love listening to podcasts during running, this implies that I have to pull out the iPod every time and select a new podcast manually... quite annoying. This even holds for podcast playlists made "on the go" - it plays the first podcast, then stops.
In light of this, I'm wondering whether there's a way to downgrade the firmware, as if I recall correctly, 1.0.3 didn't have this issue. I can't seem to find the firmware anywhere, though, and from going through the discussion forum it doesn't seem to be something supported by Apple. I'd appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this issue, either by pointing out a walkaround, or by indicating whether downgrading firmware is possible at all...

My 4th Gen iPod Nano won't turn on once it is off the USB cable. If it is connected to the iMac (iTunes 10.1 (54)) it works perfectly well (synchronizes, plays music). Have tried to reset it (holding the Menu and Center buttons) and to reset it to its original settings (current SW version is 1.0.4) and it still wont work.
Any suggestions?

How to downgrade firmware using Airport Utility 6.0?

Found descriptions for how to do it using older versions of the Airport Utility.
In the current version 6.0 of Airport Utility running in Lion, all the manual setup options appear to be gone. No option for downgrading firmware I can find either.
Having the dreaded "disk spins up every few seconds" issue with the TC 7.6.1 firmware. Want to try downgrading to 7.5.2 - am told that will fix the problem before the disk destroys itself.

Hold down the option key.. when you select the different firmware.. it will then offer all that are available..
The very latest TC will not allow you to downgrade beyond 7.6.0 for some reason.. although the first of the Gen4 were sold with 7.5.2 if it didn't come with that level firmware it might not be able to go back to it.
Have you totally isolated the TC from the network.. reset it.. does the disk still spin up and down.. if so return for warranty exchange.. it is faulty. Otherwise start plugging in computers.. or connecting by wireless. give it a new wireless name.. add devices one by one until you find which is causing constant disk access. You might need to then do a reinstall to rid that device of the issue that is affecting the TC.

to downgrade firmware can you just got to the "downloads" on the creative website and download an older version becaue i would rather use creative media source than WMP 0. Somehow when i drap and dropped my songs from my shared folder it completely moved them out of the share folder does anyone know how to get them back, b/c w/ out this i'm very unorganized. hi, I'm new on this board. i was wondering about downgrading firmware for the BEFW11S4 V.2 model. an update is causing problems with an online gaming service. this has been going on for a year, but i only identified the problem a day ago... i have gotten access to the ftp site, but the firmware for my model is only european. i was wondering if this will work, and how to go about "installing" it on my router. thank you in advance!

You could try to upgrade the router's firmware. Use for new firmware is to fix bugs that have been discovered with the router. Try to download here. That would link you to Linksys download page for new firmware of a version 2 BEFW11S4.

My NMH405 default at fw 3.18.14 and everything were going smoothly until I upgrade to 3.18.15 which caused unable to login with remote access. I always prompt remote site is down or device offline.

Downgrading Firmware for the WRT54G... I can't do it...

Hello, I am using the WRT54G wireless router, which currently has the 8.0.01 firmware. That's what it came with when i bought it.
I am trying to downgrade the firmware to either 3.01.3 or 3.03.6. I want to downgrade to one of those because Xbox said that those two are confirmed to be Xbox LIVE compatible.
I have been having trouble connecting to games with other people online with this router/firmware.
I downloaded the firmware "WRT54GV3.0_3.03.6_US_code" and "WRT54GV3.0_3.01.3_US_code," but when I try to install them, it says "invalid code pattern." like three times overlapping eachother above the progess bar.
It says that error because that firmware is for the WRT54G V3.0 and I guess mine is the WRT54G V8.0? I don't really know.. Is there anyone else with this router that has Xbox LIVE?
What can I do?

Your router comes in several versions. Each version has different hardware in it, and because of this, each version needs its own firmware. You can only use the firmware that is posted for your version of the router. I assume you have version 8 of the router, if so, you cannot use the firmware written for version 3.
If the router's version is not clearly stated on its tag (usually on bottom of router), then go to Wikipedia.org and search for "WRT54G", then, using your router's serial number, you can find out which version of the router you have.

Downgrading firmware on WRT54G/access restrictions

I had a WRT54G. Access restrictions worked. I upgraded the firmware and the access restrictions no longer worked.
So after researching, it appears the firmware I upgraded to was buggy and the access restrictions didn't work with the new firmware. I couldn't figure out how to downgrade back to what I had.
Called Linksys and ultimately they said they would send a new router. I asked if it would have the old firmware that my router had previously, where the access restrictions worked. Yes, they said.
New router arrives today. Firmware is v1.02.2, June 7, 2007. NOT the prior firmware. Sure enough, the access restrictions still do not work on this router either. I don't want to spend yet another two weeks trying to resolve this with Linksys.
Question: Is there a way to downgrade to firmware where the access restrictions actually work for WRT54G? If so,
what version should I downgrade to?
where do I obtain it? and
can I download the firmware and then install it using the administration/upgrade firmware tab on the router (even though it is a downgrade)?

Thanks for the suggestion, Badboy. Unfortunately, although I could download the firmware and successfully load it onto the router, the access restrictions in that version do not work either.
It doesn't seem as though all prior versions of firmware are on the ftp site, ftp.linksys.com. For example, I also have a wrt54gs v. 4 (speedbooster) with the same access restriction problem. It currently has a firmware version loaded that doesn't appear to be listed on that website. (I couldn't download prior firmware for that version that worked.) So, perhaps prior firmware exists for the wrt54g v. 6 that is not listed on that site also.
Does anyone know if there is another site that has a more extensive collection of prior linksys firmware?
If not, I suppose I can call linksys again, but even if they send yet another router promising the old firmware on it, I suspect the message is just going to get lost between the promise made on the phone and the guy in the warehouse filling the RMA order.

Help needed to downgrade firmware for E72

Unfortunately, I didn't read through this thread before installing firmware V 051.018 on my E72-2, and now I'm stuck with no vibration nor tone when a new SMS message is received:

With firmware upgrade you tend to lose settings.. so pl. check your profile customization / personalization menu to confirm whether the settings are as required.. or do you mean there are no options to set !!!!
The firmware downgrade is not possible at user end..(as mentioned by phonehacker..).. but may be (repeat.. MAY BE) possible at Nokia Care if you realy need that..

Well, I have it installed on my 2G Touch. I've not noticed any problems other than shorter battery life.
So, perhaps you should consider doing a software reset. It's also possibly a problem with your network connection speed. Sometimes if servers are busy data transfers can become very slow.

Can't Downgrade firmware on HP Officejet 8600 Plus!!!

In my office I have to scan and copy many many Legal size documents per day, I recently have aquired this awesome printer Hp Officejet 8600 Plus
The first day I was able to scan a bunch of 2 sided legal paper, very awesome, but then I upgraded the printer, as always confident with the upgrades, but as a result of that I was unable to scan legal size paper again
I was reading a lot of similar issues, and i Cant believe that this is an official desicion, the printer can perfectly scan legal size papper, so the solution is to downgrade the FW to an older version, but I Cant, I tryed with Jetadmin, with OJP8600_N911gn_1232A.exe, and copying the upgrade file *.ful directly to the printer
And always the same thing:
-in the screen of the printer appears the message (Printing) for a few seconds and then backs to the home screen again
In the computter with Jetadmin it stay on 0% for hours
-With OJP8600_N911gn_1232A.exe and the modded EnterpriseDU.ini Appears an error after 20 minutes, and ask me for reset the printer
-Copying the *.ful file on the Printer, just put the Printing screen on the printer 2 or 3 seconds and then backs to the home screen.
I tryed by USb cable, ethernet and even Wireless
Is a security lock in the new firmwares?
How Can I Downgrade the printer?, is urgent, i need to scan a lot of Legal documents
And please activate the option by our own risk option, for legal scan in the next update, I'm tired and dissapointed...
