Downgrade from ios6 to Ios5

Question

I've seen many posts from people wanting to go back to iOS5 and read where a few claim to have done this but even those who claim to have done it won,t provide the method they used to those wishing to do so, They instead launch into a diatribe about how great it is and proceed to try and talk the individual out of proceeding. Some people just want to go back and dont want to be talked out if it, So why not let them play and decide for themselves? Instead of trying to convince them why they should change thier minds all the while ignoring the question, why not read the question for what it is  and provide an answer?
To those people i offer one possible solution... note that I've yet to "upgrade" but it did do a full restore of the iPad day before yesterday to try and remove the bloated OTHER files and it made me wonder if the same method might work to return to the previous version? Might it be possible to use time machine to regress your computer back to before the first backup following the upgrade and then do a complete restore? So long as you blow off everything from the iPad And not  from within iTunes in the computer the process should work, shouldn't it? If you start the process from within iTunes it will ask you if you're sure you want to reload and update but if you blow everything off from the iPad itself all you get is a reload from a restore. Might it just be that simple? If so let me know, if not then how about someone chiming in and enlightening everyone instead of trying to convince everyone how wrong they are. Thanks everyone.

I'd say the increased risk of bricking your device is reason enough for them to change their minds.
