Downgrade to 10.9.3 from 10.9.5

I have installed 10.9.5, but need to downgrade to 10.9.3 in order to be compatible with other software I use.
I believe I need to erase and install 10.9, then upgrade to 10.9.3, but I can't find 10.9 anywhere, and whenever I try to do this through the App store, I end up with 10.9.5!
Any ideas?

Doesn't matter, the only version available as a full install is the current version.
Manufacturers who offer software for Mavericks need to stay up to date.
Csound1.....that is the 2nd slightly rude and rather unhelpful post you have made!
As for other manufacturers staying up to date, we are talking about Avid, who quite rightly, do extensive error testing before they authorise their software to work seamlessly with OSX. It makes sense, but takes time!

How can I downgrade to 7.1.2 from IOS 8 (iPad air and iPhone 5S)?
Can you restore from backup?  That would be best to keep all your stuff.  You can find usually several versions under restore option in iTunes.  I really hope you have one of those iOS7 versions backed up to iTunes.
If you really want to start over, and I mean no contacts, photos, music, apps, anything but factory settings that aren't in the cloud or in one of the restore options. You can search ios 7.1.2 firmware and download it and install by shift click restore and choose the file you downloaded.  But that is a really desperate act.  But this also requires iTunes and if you've been using iTunes you probably have a backup.

Also, make sure your SIM card is clean & properly inserted into the phone!

Is it possible to downgrade a new Mac Mini from OS X 10.7 to OSX 10.5? If so, how is this done?

No. You can't install earler versions of the OS than that with which (any) Mac was originally delivered.

  • How do I downgrade my envy h8 1520t from windows 8 to 7

How do I downgrade my HP h8 1520t desktop from Windows 8 to Windows 7..  Thanks to all in advance..

    *****Disclaimer*****
HP doesn't recommend the installation of Windows 7 on a computer shipped with Windows 8, nor will it support the installation of Windows 7. HP will not provide Windows 7 drivers and suitable drivers may not be available for the hardware in the computer. Also, Windows 7 may not support some of the hardware or software features designed for the computer.
Make sure you create your HP Recovery Discs or USB Flash Recovery media before modifying or changing ANYTHING.
    You will need to DISABLE "Secure Boot" and maybe ENABLE "Legacy Support" in the "BIOS Secure Boot cofiguration" on the settings page shown below before you can attempt to install Windows 7;
Additionally, as the hard drive is partitioned as GPT, you must boot the computer using the "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" in the "F9" boot menu. If "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" or something to that effect doesn't exist in the boot menu, please post a screen shot and/or descibe the listed boot options.
I suggest using a Windows 7 SP1 disc for the best intallation experience. If you need a Windows SP1, please see "How to Install Windows 7 Without the Disc" to download and create your own. If the DVD refuses to boot as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (may require DISABLING "Fast Boot" in the BIOS) as the installation media. Please download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a Windows 7 SP1 USB Flash drive.
Most of the Windows 7 drivers avalable on the HP Pavilion HPE h8-1360t CTO Desktop PC Drivers & Downloads page should work on the HP h8-1520t computer.
    Please post the Windows Device Manager's "Hardware Ids", as shown below, if you have issues installing the proper drivers;

  • Downgrade to Win 7 Pro from Win 8.1 Pro

I will be downgrading my T440s to Win 7 64 bit. I was reading the instructions that came with the Win 7 CDs from Lenovo and on page 4 it states on item #6 "select GPT partition style or MBR partition style". From what I understand I would use GPT partition style because the t440s uses a UEFI bios. Is this correct? or do I use the standard mbr.

  • Downgrading 2009 13" Macbook Air from maverick to OSX

I bought a used macbook air today from a lady to use for school. She mentioned that she upgraded to maverick but it had slowed down the machine some. I noticed the difference when using the laptop and needed to know how to downgrade back to OSX.

You will need the Snow Leopard installation media.  Use this as a guide:

  • Is it possible to downgrade to 10.7.1 from Apple's latest abortion?

My encrypted external hard drives will no longer mount and I had to wipe my drive in my desktop to reinstall Lion. I have read a few threads and know that there is a conflict between PGP and 10.7.2, however, I have removed all components associated with PGP and never used PGP on my external drives.  My question is two-fold; does anyone have work-around to access my external HDDs or, short of that, is it possible to downgrade to Lion version 10.7.1 or earlier?
    Thanks in advance.

Wait for update from PGP to work with 10.7.2 is the only answer besides uses hardware based encrypted external drives instead of software ones.
The computer thinks it's wrtiting and reading from a ordinary external drive.
and Apple certainly has been having a lot of miscarriages lately, everyhting from firmware and up, it's like someone decided to puke their lunch into a high speed fan to cover the whole office just for giggles.

  • Downgrade to 10.6.5 from 10.6.7

I just got a new MacBook Pro at work.  As a whole we're not ready to goto 10.6.7.  I'm trying to keep my users at 10.6.5 while I test out locking down the app store.
My deploy image is at 10.6.5 yet I can't boot to it or any other disk I have including a 10.6.3 retail DVD.
Is there any way to downgrade this new MacBook Pro to 10.6.5?
    Thanks for any assistance.

    Hi layne,
There is not. Apple designs their machines to run versions of the OS that they ship with and newer and not the ability to roll back. If the machine had shipped with 10.6 - 10.6.5 then it'd work but because it arrived with 10.6.7 it'd only be able to run 10.6.7 +
From what I've discovered there's no clean way to remove access to it, outside of using 3rd party solutions. Here's a great ongoing discussion regarding it - https://discussions.apple.com/message/12883792#12883792

  • "downgrade" iTunes software/change music from mp4 to mp3?!

I recently upgraded my iTunes software and all my music was changed from mp3 to mp4 format. That's great and all except for the fact that I just purchased a cell phone that has a music player that only supports mp3 files. I would really like to put some of my music on my phone. Is there any way that I could possibly "downgrade" my software or do anything else to turn my music back into mp3's?
    Thanks!

The store has NEVER sold songs in mp3 format. The store files are in either protected AAC format or iTunes Plus format which is not protected. As Chris said, the only thing you can do with the protected format purchases is burn them to an audio CD. If you had purchased the iT Plus files, they can be changed to mp3 format. Just a suggestion, if you need mp3 format files, you may want to take a look at amazon.com, emusic.com, or audiolunchbox.com, just to name a few. The beauty of all of these sights is their downloads have no DRM.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
    1) Make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below.
    2) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
    3) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed
    http://us.blackberry.com/software/desktop.html
    4) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To truly seek out the most up-to-date OS package for your BB, you must dig through and find all carriers that support your specific model BB, and then compare the OS levels that they support.
    5) Delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
6a) For changing your installed BB OS level (upgrade or downgrade), you can launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC.
6b) Or, for reloading your currently installed BB OS level as well as for changing it, bypass the Desktop Software and use LOADER.EXE directly, by proceeding to step 2 in this process:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC.
If, during the processes of 6a or 6b, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:
KB19915How to perform a clean reload of BlackBerry smartphone application software using BlackBerry Desktop Software

  • Downgrade to 10.6.1 from 10.6.2

Is there anyway to downgrade the software then re-upgrade?
I didn't run the Performance Update 1.0 before I had updated to 10.6.2 and I'm still running into those problems.
    Any help is appreciated.

Installing 10.6 over either 10.6.1 or 10.6.2 will not take you back to 10.6. There is no archive and install option in 10.6.
Before returning to 10.6 (a prelude to updating to 10.6.1 or 10.6.2), I would make a bootable clone of my Sno boot volume on an external drive for purposes of backup, possible migration, and fail-safe--even if you have a TM backup. Your only way of returning to 10.6 is to erase and install using your 10.6 install DVD (i.e., their is no archive and install option on the 10.6 install DVD). Before you do so, check the compatibility of your hardware and software; check [here|http://snowleopard.wikidot.com/forum:start] and [here|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3258].
Given that you have dealt with any compatibility issues, your only problem should be migrating from your clone in a way that avoids your 10.6.2 problems. In this regard, you generally can drag and drop you data files from 10.6.2 without issue (see links below--use Preferential Treatment before migrating anything and the by-hand migration guide to accomplish your migration). I would reinstall my apps by hand. But, you probably would be relatively safe just dragging and dropping those that are installed by dragging an app icon to your applications folder. I would not migrate your users or settings. The remaining issue is dealing with the remaining contents of your user folder(s).
I would acquire [Preferential Treatment|http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/22790] and use this app to fix the your user preferences--the items in your User/Library/Preferences folder(s). After doing so, use [this guide|http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=6185507] to do the actual migration of the items in your user folder(s).
