After successfully getting rid of iTunes 7, my iPod will no longer update because it won't work with 6.0.5. How do I downgrade iPod 1.2 to an earlier version? Is that even possible?

I was going to suggest that you Restore from Backup, but it sounds like you are having trouble with backups. But at this point, I don't think it would really hurt. Plug in your phone to iTunes, click Restore. Let it do its thing, and when it is done, select Restore from Backup, and hope that one of your successful backups contain your stuff on them.

You can't deauthorise a computer you no longer have access to on it's own. However once you reach the limit of 5 authorisations you have the option once a year to deauthorise them all in one go and start over: About iTunes Music Store Authorisation and Deauthorisation

If your iPod is set to update automatically you need to take care connecting to an empty iTunes. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

You would have to buy Windows 7 DVD+License key and simply install it on your laptop. Make note that you are not supposed to flash BIOS your laptop came with, even if it says "Windows 8 compatible".
Also I can remember that most today's laptops made by MSI come with Windows X key embedded to the BIOS, so would be worth somehow recovering the key and use it on different computer if you wish.

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.

Toggle Airplane mode On and Off.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Check for a carrier settings update. Tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, a prompt will appear.
Remove the SIM Card and verify that it is a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it is not damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
Restore the iPhone.

However, there has to be a possibility to downgrade to ios6 - otherwise the guys from Apple wouldn't have advised me to do so.
Beside of all the problems I have withe the new ios it also looks childish designwise and lot of of things like handling was much better with ios 6.

You can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
You can trash Firefox 4.0 then re-install Firefox 3.6, it will use your existing bookmarks, passwords etc

How can I downgrade to a previous version. I upgraded to 2.3 and now my site is totally hosed because the fonts on the master page are changing size arbitrarily without me touching them. I've had to eliminate my site map on the bottom of my master page because I've spent over 20 hours trying to correct the issue and can't seem to get anywhere. Even completely recreating the page doesn't correct the problem.
I was going to simply change a few photos from an older backup copy of the html files, but when I opened them with the 2.3 version, it changed all of the font sized on those files too.
I need my site working properly, so, how can I downgrade to the previous version and get my site working again until the bug is fixed?

I just managed to downgrade from ITunes 10.5 to 10.4 w/o using Time Machine. Typically I have Time Machine backups, but I just downgraded from OS X Lion too, and was still trying to get my MacBook fine tuned again before doing a fresh backup again.
So it was a long shot, but here's what I tried and it worked perfect. It also might appear to be difficult, but as long as you can cut/paste and know a little about file folders, this won't take more than 5 minutes.
1. I removed the entire itunes folder from the "Music" folder and copied it to the desktop.
(Macintosh HD/users/<yourname>/Music/iTunes)
2. I downloaded iTunes 10.4 and did a fresh install. I restarted the application, which recreated the iTunes folder (and files) back in the "Music" folder. Then quit the application completely.
3. I went to the original iTunes folder that I copied to the desktop, and deleted the most recent file from the iTunes library. For the purpose of this illustration...I had several, but my latest was "iTunes Library 2011-08-16.itl".
(Desktop/iTunes/Previous iTunes Libraries/iTunes Library 2011-08-16.itl)
4. Now cut/paste the "original" file from desktop back into the iTunes folder you've just recreated. When it prompts you to overwrite the existing files, reply "YES" to all, and let the folder finish.
5. Your Done! Now open iTunes again...all your files and playlists, will be there.
The reason I downgraded, was the new iTunes 10.5, wouldn't collapse on my MacBook so I could see all playlists and detailed song info. It basically opened up "full screen", but only allowed me to scroll through song files, but not playlists, etc.
I hope this helps somebody...I was really struggling because of the size of my music library (24,000+), and really didn't want to begin with a fresh install, and recreating my playlists from scratch.

If you want to Instal BBM6.2 then you can , but before that Uninstall any existing version of BBM from your device .
On your Homescreen Go to Options > Application > Locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from there.

After deleting do a Battery Pull Restart like this device POWERED ON remove the battery wait for a min. then re-insert it back . After reboot use your BlackBerry Browser and browse to http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=bbm6 to download BBM6.2 .

You said Adobe Content Viewer right? Ok....you have two choice. If you are a pro/enterprise customer, you can build your own v19 Adobe content viewer yourself from viewer builder(http://help.adobe.com/en_US/digitalpubsuite/using/WS67cb9e293e2f1f605676c42e12e5e4f8eda-80 00.html#WS9293e1fb3b977c5c-6373a356134d312f091-8000).
Else, you can downgrade to v18 as below.
guessing you are on a mac, go to /applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers/ and uninstall Folio Producer tools from the machine. Do not uninstall Folio builder panel, Folio builder panel has to be on the latest version.
Go to https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/welcome.html and remove/delete the folio from the dashboard published with v19.
Now, go ahead and donwload the v18 folio producer tools from here http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/collection.jsp?collID=4&platform=Macintosh download accordingly depending on whether cs5 or cs5.5. You need to download and install the 1/17/2012.
Once installed, go ahead and re-publish the folio from InDesign.
Viola! you have been just downgraded ;-)
