since it's not available from the App Store you won't be able to install it. You see the error page because probably AIR is for development purposes and once you publish an AIR app it will run on iOS. Take a look at the tech specs for Adobe AIR on the adobe website by searching for Adobe AIR in the search box.

I'm trying to download Adobe Air. Getting Error that I need newer version, but keep getting same error. Any help here?

Each time I try to download Adobe Air, I keep getting an error pop-up stating that I need to go to adobe to get a newer version. Each time I attempt to do this, I receive the same error. I'm able to get to the point where Adobe Air Installer icon appears. I'm able to click on this icon but then I get the error. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Anyone have success getting through this problem? Thank you!

If the Adobe product is not compatible with Lion, it's still Adobe's issue. Even still, this is a MacBook Pro hardware forum, so if you think Lion caused it, try going to the Lion forum, maybe someone will be able to give you quick/helpful support.

I have been trying to download Adobe Air for a website I'm trying to access (Colonial Williamsburg). After the installation was finished, I went back to the website and it still said I didn't have Adobe Air. I tried reinstalling and Adobe said I already have it on my system (Mac OSX 10.9). I can't find the app. I uninstalled, restarted, etc. and same results.
Thoughts anyone?

download the FP uninstaller from http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14157
close all browser windows, then run the uninstaller
download the offline ActivX installer for Internet Explorer from http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe
close all browser windows, then run the installer

Having trouble downloading Adobe Air

Hi ,
I am having trouble downloading Adobe Air .
Whenever i am trying to download it , the web page is refreshing again and again , without starting my actual download, i waited for considerable time assuming the servers may be busy , but still the download is not starting.

Tried download while logged in using user id
[email protected] , still no luck
Also tried basic trouble shooting steps mentioned on website such as making sure that my browser is allowing pop ups ,etc
I am using Mac OsX , 10.6 and browser is Safari , though i tried on the same machine wiht Chrome as well.
Had a chat with one of the support executive as well , but he was also not able to solve my problem , he directed me to here. Please check why i am not able to download Adobe Air.

I cannot download Adobe air to my computer. I consistently receive the following error message: An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator. I have tried turning off my anitvirus program although it says it is safe.

I am having the same error message upgrading Adobe AIR 3.8 to 3.9. Fully patched and up-to-date Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Windows Installer Service is verified running. Logitech proceses have been stopped. Antivirus program has been paused. That exhausts all the solutions I can find on the web! I have another computer with the same OS that is not having the problem ... hmm.

I went to Adobe and it seemed that the Air program is for OS X 10.6 or 10.7. I was wondering whether there's an earlier version of Air that I could use or if there some other way I could download my music to iTunes without using the Adobe Air program or if I must update my software to run that program. My system is currently up to date with all its software and I don't quite know what I need to do to resolve this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have this same problem. The album shows available to download from the cloud, but the 3 remaining songs won't download. The songs happen to be the first 3 songs on the album. Try downloading the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
