Download all attachments

It appears that the "download all attachments" button from owa 2010 has been removed in 2013... Is this on purpose? Or will it be coming back in a patch? I have very frustrated users that are annoyed by the functionality in 2013 vs. 2010. Anyone
in the know have any idea on this? Thanks!

Yep you are right.
Its not there anymore. This feature became available with Exchange 2010 SP1.
However, its removed from Exchange 2013. Maybe someone forgot it :) . Hopefully it will become available again with future updates.

• Download All attachments feature for OWA is unavavilable.

Hi,
Is it me or is the feature "download all attachments" removed from exchange 2013 CU6 Outlook web app.  It was available on the exchange 2010 OWA.  I realize this when many users complained that they have to download each attachment.
Thanks

Yeah it looks like it was quietly removed, I am running on CU7 and its not available. But it looks like its back on O365 so maybe CU8 or higher will add it back to on premise.

• Downloading all attachments at one time

I actually am having two issues.  First, when I purchased the Razr Maxx and the verizon rep at the store set up my email account (hotmail) on the phone.  We opened up an email that had about 5 attachments and as soon as I opened the email itself, the attachments were somehow automatically opening in the body of the email.  That is no longer happening.
Second, when I do receive an email with attachments, I click on the attachment, it opens to a new screen and then I have to click on "download" for it to open.  Not really a problem if there is only 1 or 2 attachments.  However, when I get email with 10 attachments, is there any way to (1) get them to open automatically as  it did the day I purchased the phone....or (2) is there any option to "download all" (without having to save them anywhere)?

Try opening the email client and then press the menu button and look for the option for the messages delivery options and make sure you have download attachments checked....   Also if this doesn't work you can try K9 email client from Play Store it has this option that seems to work as you ask..

Abhishek,
This may be possible but will depend on the host OS for the mobile device (Windows can do it, iOS can't) as well as how you have your processes defined and if you have the necessary editing tools on the device.
The process will be to download the document to the device.
Launch the editing software passing the file downloaded to edit
Save the file
Attached the edited file to your Work Order
Transmit to upload the edited document.
The reason iOS can't do this is due to the nature of your applications being contained and not sharing data across applications.  There may be some iOS OS enhancements coming in 7.2 and beyond which may enable this data sharing but for now you can't do it on iOS without using custom code (OpenUI on SMP3.0)
Android may work depending on where you store you downloaded documents.  If they are stored in a "public" area then it might be possible to also do this on Android.
Good luck.

• Trouble downloading all attachments from email

Hey There,
I am absolutely frustrated that I can not download any attachments from my yahoo email!
Recently, someone gained access to my computer and read private files. This lead me into a spin of security over haul. I activated all the security settings in the System Preferences (set a master password and ticked all the boxes), as well as tried to retrieve my files (which they deleted) using a demo version of Stellar Phoenix and Disk Warrior to no success.
But since I've done all of the above in the last few weeks, I can not download any attachments (word, pdf, jpg anything) from my yahoo email.
I click on the attachment icon to download. This then appears in the downloads box. It starts to load but then gives up at "9.3kb of ?". saying that it "cannot create the file". I click on the refresh button next to the details and it prepares the download, but ends up not being able to create the file.
Would this be a Safari problem or would it be due to the security settings that I have recently activated?
Please help me!

No luck unfortunately
I turned off all the security preferences I could (Filevault, waking the computer with password etc), except for the master password, and I still am having the same problem of my email attachments not downloading.
While using Stellar Phoenix Demo to try and recover my deleted files,I had to create a new account, one for myself and one for the Root. Could creating either of these possibly have an effect? I know how stupid that sounds but the separate accounts and the master password being set are the only two options left that I can't change and I'm still having problems downloading attachements.

• Download all attachments as a zip file

Hi,
I want to download all files as a zip file from the database using c#.net visual webpart.

Hi,
Sheelaj request you to drop the idea for getting into database to achieve this task, because SharePoint does not support any activities directly to query its contents.
Do you have the document library in the site from there you want to download as Zip ?
May be this link shed some insight
http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/uploadfile/GemingLeader/programmatically-compress-and-decompress-files/
Or just a  the content database ?
I heard about there is some tools or custom code to convert the binary format into physical file in .NET,
but i am not sure how its going to fit into SharePoint and your requirement.

• Automator workflow to download email attachments in a daily created folder

dear forum participants and apple experts: i have created an intelligent mailbox in apple mail in which mail from a certain sender which has been sent on a certain day (normally today) is filed. Would it be possible to create an automator/apple script file to download all attachments these files contain into a specific folder and to label that folder with the date (thus today's date).
I have succeeded in downloading attachments in a folder that was automatically labed with the date by using the email filter (without the detour of an intelligent mailbox) and despite the filter setting for a specific date, it always downloaded all attachments from all the dates the specfic sender has sent emails

First try to do the same tasks in Safe Mode:
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
* Click the menu button , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
* On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
* On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode <br>(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".
;
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme, or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps in the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.

• Can't download certain attachments; rolls across top of screen.

When I receive certain attachments, I cannot open them. I click on the attachment, and boxes scroll across the top of the screen and keep on scrolling. I have to X out of the e-mail and start over again, and I never am able to download these attachments. I know that I have not done something that I am supposed to do to be able to download all attachments, but I don't know what that "something" is. I probably will not be able to understand what I am supposed to do. Obviously, the person sending the e-mail and attachment is using some kind of program to attach that I don't have. Help!

What is the provider you are using?
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.
* Clear the Cache
Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
and
* Remove Cookies
Warning ! ! This will log you out of all sites you're logged in to.
Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the tool bar.
Followed by;
Windows; Tools > Options
Linux; Edit > Preferences
Mac; application name > Preferences
Then Privacy.
Under History, select Firefox will Use Custom Settings.
There is a button on the right side called Show Cookies.
If there is still a problem,
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
While you are in safe mode;
Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the tool bar.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?

• All attachments download as "attachment.ashx".

I use Outlook Web App through the sweerver of my home university, and I am running Mac with System 10.6.8 and Firefox 9.0. Since installing Firefox 8.0 I receive e-mails fine but if I try to download any attachments, either by clicking on the link of the attachment or by right-clicking and selecting "save link as", Fireforx will always download a generic file "attachment.ashx", and I have to rename it on the desktop. Other browsers wirf fine, so the problem is obviously with Firefox.

"I solved the problem--I downloaded Google Chrome to use instead of Firefox. "
This is rather knee jerk but after reading through all the posts on bug forums and such, the following is clear to me:
* Microsoft is not following RFC standards
* Mozilla Firefox developers are too busy trying to conforms to standards that nobody is following and are forgetting that without users they have no jobs
I honestly didn't want it to come to this but I really don't need to be fucking with the registry, the browser, or (worse) waiting for a rollback on conformance due to this meth-induced death-march of FF browser versioning. That's for open sores users, not the rest of the population.
Goodbye Firefox, it's been a great 9 years but I don't have time for this anymore. Chrome is my new home.

• How do I force mail to download older attachments in IMAP?

I'm using (Snow Leopard) Mail to connect to gmail via IMAP.
I'm running out of space and want to archive my gmail messages locally using Mail.
The old gmail messages download and archive nicely, but Mail's leaving the attachments on the server. Is there some way I can force Mail to download all those attachments? There are too many to do it manually.

I don't see an "advanced" tab in preferences. The is one under the "accounts" tab, but it doesn't offer a "Keep(ing) copies of message for offline viewing" option.
Is this a difference between 10.5 and 10.6?

• Mail 4.5 (1084) is not automatically downloading larger attachments.

Mail 4.5 (1084) is not automatically downloading larger attachments (i.e. a 2 MB file) without the user clicking on the SAVE button or the attachment icon (white square with down arrow).
Before download:
The problem is that if the user accidentally deletes the message before downloading the attachment, and then views that message in the trash OR moves the message from the trash back to inbox, the attachment is lost and message appears garbled up.
This is not a problem if user clicks SAVE or clicks attachment icon itself before deleting it - message and attachment will be readable in trash and when restored to inbox.
Question:
Is there a way to force Mail to download all attachment regardless of size without requiring user interaction?
Thank you
ig

Actually smaller attachments are downloaded automatically, or perhaps it depends on attachment type?
Try the same with say 2MB .PPT file .. email the file to yourself. It will come through as "click to download" icon (see image above). Trash the message (before SAVE or clicking on attachment), now try opening it in the trash or pulling it back to inbox and then open it. Attachment is gone and you get garbage - clearly extra data is there but is non-readable.
Not a big issue for a single user - potentially very big issue for an admin supporting large number of end-users, some of which are recent Outlook transplants.
Btw, I'm using IMAP server and I have enabled "Store deleted messages on the server"

• How to download the attachments from GOS toolbar.

Hi,
I am facing a problem. I have to go to transaction ME33k and click the GOS toolbar. Then click on the attachment list. After the attachment list arrives, I need to transfer the files to the local system. The issue is that I need to do all this using a custom program. The custom program will transfer the files into the local system and then mail them to specified recipients.

• Safari adding .html to all attachments

I have used Safari for a couple of years now, and as of yesterday, all attachments I try to download now have a .html extension added to it,
i.e. doc.html, exe.html, jpg.html thus being unable to open the files
when they have been downloaded. I have tried downloading the same files
using AOL, and FireFox and .Mac and no problems whatever.
The attachments sitting in the e-mail just shows the .doc, or .exe or .jpg
but while downloading, Safari adds the .html extension.
Any help will surely be appreciated.
Tom

This problem began happening to me today. I tried resetting cache, closing Safari and reopening, looking for DeBug settings. Finally, after I reset Safari by choosing Safari > Reset Safari... then closed out the browser and opened it up again, the problem went away. Hope it works for you!

• Downloading photo attachments

Hi there! I'm a recent mac convert who needs help!
Why is it that when I try to download photo attachments from yahoo mail, i can't readily view it unlike before?
Let me try to paint a picture....
Normal: Click 'Download File' > 'Download' box appears > I see the exact same file name and its format (jpeg, pdf) as it appears on the email > the progress of the download is shown > file is automatically opened with 'Preview'
Odd: Click 'Download File' > 'Download' box appears > the filename that appears on the box is ALWAYS 'securedownload' (icon looks like a blank sheet of paper), format of file is not specified > the progress of the download is shown > file does not automatically open
I have to open Preview (or whatever program i want to use) in order to view the file. I'm not computer savvy and this is really driving me nuts! Thank you for any help

Experiencing the exact same problem !!.arrgg...have tried everything from reset.. delete account..add account.. reset all the smtp added new servers deleted servers nothing seems to work..very upsetting at not being able to download attachments as it was working perfectly before... & frustrating ....as I can see them perfectly on the computer when I log in.......wondered if you had any success or if it had been resolved for you Cheers
