Download and play .MTS (HD pix from Sony DSC-TX10)in my i-Mac

I got stuck with this one.
Is there any apple app I can use to dowload HD (.MTS files from Sony DSC-TX10) so as to be able to visualize them on my i-Mac?

ddominguezp, if you want to also edit the .mts videos you may need to 're-wrap' the raw .mts files to get back all the folders and other files that would have been on the memory card when you first recorded your HD video clips. A lot people attempt to pull the video clips out of all the folders surround them and that causes problems for iMovie. iMovie by itself will not recognize the .mts files but needs all the pieces that would have originally come with the .mts file to work. I'm providing a link below to a discussion started by Karsten Schlüter that covers all the bases trying to get a .mts file back into iMovie. What you are trying to do in the end is 're-wrap' the .mts files with all the folders and files that are now missing.

Why can't I download and play songs on iTunes from iCloud if I purchased Match?

I want to play songs on my desktop from iTunes. However, I can't click on the cloud symbol and download them onto my PC...I just get a "!" out to the left of the song. I have no problem downloading the songs from the cloud and playing them on my iPhone.

A little more background. I've had iTunes Match for well over a year and I didn't have this issue until just recently. Things that have changed recently:
I got a new iPhone (not my choice...company move). I purchased a lot of my old music on the old iPhone. The new iPhone has 8GB storage. The old iPhone had 16GB of storage. I had 13GB on the old phone. A lot of stuff, therefore, didn't transfer to the new phone after backup. However, keep in mind, it's not just the music that I purchased on the old iPhone that is "greyed out" and unavailable, it's music that I have stored on my personal lap top at home, too. Also please keep in mind that some of the music that I purchased on my old iPhone *is* playable/available on my desktop.
I recently renewed iTunes Match.
I don't knowingly have any music stored on the HDD of the computer in question, it is my work computer (i.e. I have never purposely downloaded a song or purchased a song on my work computer). The big question here is *why* can I download music from the cloud and play it on my new iPhone but can't download the very same song and play it on my work computer via iTunes? There are cloud symbols beside the songs on both devices...when I click on the cloud symbol on my iPhone, it downloads it or streams it if I click play...can't do either on iTunes on my desktop for the same exact song.

Any way to import, play 1080p/24fps video from Sony DSC-HX200V

This Sony camera only comes with Windows software, but apparently iMovie/FCP can import. However, the website states:

By updating the Mac OS to the most recent version (10.6.7 or higher), importing is possible.

Anyone know how I could convert the 1080/24p video shot by this camera, easily, into a format editable by FCP X? (or FCP studio 3)?

That information is obsolete. FCP imports AVCHD media in any frame rate.

Only half of the book will download and play from my ipod. Help!

I have purchased several audio books on itunes. Most of them download and play just fine. There are four or five of them that download in two separate halves. The entire book will download and play from the itunes library on my computer. However, only the first half of each book will download and play on my ipod. The other half shows up on my ipod, but it is greyed out and won't play.

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

There is a preference setting in ClickToFlash (2.8.5) that will change default from autoplay to preload for html5 videos (Safari preferences, then select ClickToFlash, and click the checkbox to access settings for ClickToFlash, then go to the Media Player tab). That seemed to fix the problem. This should be built into Safari but apparently is not.

I can not download and play HD rented movies through my TV2

My Problem:
I can not download and play HD rented movies through my TV2
and get the following message "an error occurred loading this content. Try again later"
Do others have the same problem of not being able to play rented HD?
All my other activities are normal. I can play Standard Def rentals, Movie Previews, HD MLB, and all else as necessary except HD rentals
I have a 13.5 Mbps connection.
I have gone through ALL of the expected procedures. Changed the cable, did a reset, did a restore.
This has happened with two TV2's as I replaced the first one due to the "unable to update issues"
The current TV2 now has the current up to date software since that issue has been resolved for all.
Any answers???

This is a new TV2. Actually my second. First bought less than 2 weeks ago. it was returned to the store and replaced because of the issue of not being able to update the TV2 software from 4.1.1 to 4.2.2.
Both machines had that same problem, and both could not play the rented HD movies.
The second TV2 has sicne been able to update to 4.2.2 when everyone else who had that problem went away this last weekend. So I have gone from 4.1.1 on two machines and no HD rentals to the current one updated to 4.2.2 and still no HD rentals.
The Standard def comes in fine and no real delay. And IF the movie previews are HD (when it is turned on in settings) then I have had NO problems viewing them.
I also have NO problem viewing HD MLB games on the TV2

You can download games from the web that cannot be purchased or downloaded from the Mac App Store as long as they are Gatekeeper-approved apps (apps that are trusted by Apple). If you download a game that isn't approved by Gatekeeper, it is a little risky. However, if you download the game from a well-known source like EA online or through the EA Origin software, it is perfectly okay. Also, for games like Minecraft, it is okay, as long as you downlaod them from the correct source. For Minecraft, just buy it from Minecraft.net and download it like you are supposed to. Why would it not be safe? If you are not illegally downloading the games from websites like The Pirate Bay, and you are actually buying the game like you are supposed to, you should be okay. If you had it on a laptop that crashed and you threw away, it is still considered as activated on that machine. YOu should contact Adobe by chat or by phone and have them deactivate for you.

When I dissassembled AqualLogic.WCFilter.dll which I suppose contains PTTransormer class but to my surprise did not find it. Am I looking at the correct assembly for PTTransformer? If so where can I download and install AqualLogic.WCFilter.dll from?

I do get an error message when I double click to install:
“The file archive part of Adobe Premiere Elements 10 is missing.
You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe Premiere Elements 10.
Please download all parts”.
When on the Adobe site there are many choices which is confusing.
Please direct me to the correct one….

If you have a copy of Windows then BootCamp might be better than Parallels to be honest.

I believe there's got to be a way you can use the ipod touch as a airplay receiver to use on the stereo.
The ipod touch has a port for plugging in earphones, that can also be used to plug a stereo into it.
Now somebody just has to make an app for using on ipod touch or iphone to plug directly into the stereos input

you can use Java Web Start to load all the jar files. JDK 1.4.1 is come with Java web Start.
