You can only download apps from the iTunes store for the country you are registered in. Maybe contact the App developer and find out if they intend to put it in the Irish store?

Purchasing app from another country overseas

I am in Italy. I am Australian. My credit card is from an Australian bank. I bought my mac in the USA. I am having trouble downloading an app here because the app store is in Italian. Ok I can understand the Italian more or less, but then when I want to purchase and I have to enter the billing address, it won't let me set Australia as the country. This is shithouse. I just want to download angry birds. Why do they make it so hard when I want to give them money? This is the first time I tried using the appstore - i didn't even know it existed before but i mis-typed something in spotlight and there it was. So now I want to buy angry birds and it suddenly spouts all this crap in Italian at me. The OS is in English and they already know my Australian address, why suddenly start asking me to read through terms and conditions in Italian. Anyone know how to get around this? To use a bank card in an iTunes/Mac App Store account, the card has to be from the same country as the iTunes Store and have a billing address for the bank card in that country.
So if you want to use an Australian bank card to buy an app in the Mac App Store you will need to go to the bottom of the MAS page and change the store to the Australian Mac App Store and have an Australian billing address.
If you have not done so already, it is easier to set up the account with the Australian bank card in the Australian iTunes Store first.

Often it has to do with the licensing agreements for the media, since licenses are negotiated by region. In other words, probably not a technical issue but usually legal and sometimes financial, from lawyers writing up electronic agreements based on principles from the pre-electronic era.

No - the terms of use of the iTunes stores say that you can only buy from the country that you are currently in (and, I'm not sure on this, but you may also need to have a credit card registered in that country).

Just redownload it on the other computer by logging into the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to purchase it.

I have always been very weary of fake emails and can easily spot the ones that get through the spam filters but for the first time in my 25 plus years memory of using email, I though a fake email was genuine.
Ok, granted the email was supposedly from Apple so there's an implied level of trust there and I had updated my Apple ID details hours before, but it was only after doing a double take at the url link in the email I realised it was fake. It was pointing to an IP address (http://104.145.233.95/..etc) and not the usual https://www.apple.com/..etc.
I just wandered how may Apple users, especially new ones would have unwittingly compromised their Apple ID details by this scam. I would love to see Apple doing more to make its users aware of scams directed at them.

Unfortunately you won't be able to until if/when Apple open an iTunes store there (http://www.apple.com/feedback/) - to be able to buy from another country's store you need a valid billing address in that country and be in that country when buying from it.

You can't transfer any content from one account to another account (nor can accounts be merged) - all content will remain tied to the account that downloaded it.
Do you not have copies of all of your downloads e.g. on your computer or backup of your downloads/library ? Whilst you are in Australia you can't redownload your UK purchases (you have to be in a country to use its store), if you have them on your computer's iTunes library then you should be able to stream them from it to your Apple TV

The reason you have to use a VPN to download apps is because it is against the law for Apple to allow purchases from app stores originating from countries other than that the store is for.
This has nothing to do with your simply bieng in Iran. This has to do with you attempting to purchase from a store that is not your own. Apple is not licensed to sell content from another country's store to someone outside of that country. Unfortunately, you have chosen to purchase a device for which there is no store at all in your country.
You can not legally purchase content from Apple at all.
