The download assistant keeps telling me to sign in to continue. I am already signed in... I have restarted the download several times and it goes nowhere

Adobe Download Assistant Trouble

Im trying to download an Adobe product. The problem is the program is installed through the Adobe Download Assistant. Whenever I click on the .exe to download the assistant I hit "Run" and then nothing happens after that. Any help would be appreciated.

Trouble Installing Adobe Download Assistant! Please help!

Hi, I'm trying to download Adobe Download Assitant of my Mac so I can get my free trial of Photoshop. I can open the .dmg thing and double click on "Install Adobe Download Assistant" but when the bar that reaches the end on the installation window, nothing happens. Please help.

Trouble signing into the Download assistant

After clicking 'Download now' on after Effects, the adobe download assistant is installed into my computer. It says ;please sign in to download the latest adobe applications'. I press 'sign in' and I am then prompted to enter my adobe id and password. Once I do this the window gets a grey tint in which i assume means it is proccessing, however I can still read everything. It stays this way and does not sign in or anything. I cannot quit the programme or do anything. The only thing I can do is minimize the wndow. Please help.

It does indeed have all the symptoms of a software firewall issue however. I would recommend following the steps listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369 to initiate a direct download.

Trying to download Adobe After Effects CS6, Whenever I try downloading it it gives me a Error 107. Using Windows 7, 32-bit. Not my first time using Adobe Download Assistant, I have used it before with absolutely no problems. Help please?

This error indicates that ADA is having trouble connecting to adobe.com. Normally, clearing the cache and cookies should resolve this issue.

I am BEYOND ANGRY with installing the trial of Adobe Download Assistant so that I can THEN DOWNLOAD MY ELEMENTS 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is so rediculous I have tried to install the trial version of elements 12 so that I can install the full version I purchased, I have tried to intall the download assistant over 6 times today; it WILL NOT MOVE ANY FURTHER THAN THE BAR fully loaded and says its downloaded!!!!!!!!!! wont do anything else? How the hell can I install anything if it wont freaking move????? I have a PC windows 7; I have every element required for this software I purchased several weeks ago from Amazon. I am a photographer, not a technical support person, I dont care HOW IT WORKS? I JUST NEED IT TO WORK!!!!!! I am so pissed off because I have wasted so many hours on this; talked to technical support 3 times today and was disconnected 3 times PERFECT!!!!!!! PISSED OFF PATTI (at ADOBE)

If you are having trouble with the download assistant you can try going without it by downloading thru the site linked below. In case there is some misunderstanding, you do not have to install anything more than the trial version. You use your serial number from the purchase to convert the trial to full usage.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

Adobe Download Assistant freezes

adobe download assistant keeps freezing and I cannot log in. When I go to log in problem the firefox says it cannot find the programme. I have tried downloading with google chrome but that did not make any difference.

So far I have tried - turning off the firewall, using google chrome, firefox and explorer 8 (this recommended by adobe FAQ), saving it to the desktop (FAQ), 2 earlier versions, working with the adobe people on line. I think I have run out of patience and will just give up. Lucky I did not spend the money to buy the programme if downloading the free version is this much trouble!!

Adobe Download Assistant crashes when selecting download location

I am having troubles when trying to download the CS5.5 Master Collection trial. When selecting to download it, it opens the 'Browse For Folder' window; I select 'Computer' and then the whole application crashes with the error message 'Adobe Download Assisant.exe has stopped working'. What could be the cause of this?
I have two hard drive partitions (C: and E:) and am using Windows 7 Ultimate.

It seems that if I quickly a download location and let the application crash, I can reopen Adobe Download Assistant and the download will commence. Though I am still concerned, could this be a computer issue that needs addressing?

Are you receiving the error message while using the Adobe Download Assistant as mentioned above?
If yes, I would recommend following the steps mentioned in this document : Trouble Adobe Download Assistant
Though the error message you receive is not listed in the document, the troubleshooting steps resolve most issues with the Adobe Download Assistant.
The document contains steps for both Windows and Mac operating systems.

Download Assistant not starting off elements download

I have had error issues when trying to download premier elements 10 CD version. Error code had a 7 in it (sorry closed window already). Went through trouble shoot to download trial first and then would install full version using the license number. Downloaded Elements Premier trial. Went to download Elements and it would not start. Downloaded Adobe Download Assistant again and Elements would not start or no prompt would open. Do I need to uninstall Premier and start with Elements and then install Premier? Any recommendations?
I am running Mac OSX 10.7.3

I presume you are trying to now install Photoshop Elements and you have installed Premiere elements successfully. Is that right?

I would also recommend using the disc again to install and posting any errors that you receive so that we can narrow down to the cause of the issue.

Adobe Download Assistant, and Adobe Ilustrator CS6

Please remove this program from this computer. It downloaded (taking up a lot of time), and now I find it can not help me make the conversion I'm after, and it's stuck on my computer- it won't remove or uninstall.
Don't ask me to go to FAQ because it won't SOLVE the problem.
You have the technology to download it so, so now take it back!
I'll try your products on a new computer.

I appreciate your concern. But again, please wipe out anything about me on your database. To make a long story short, my patience endured through telephone conversation with an agent (for which I waited about one full hour.)
The chats also failed to address my problem.
You have the technology to resolve the issue of Adobe Assistant, and the Adobe Illustrator. It just became a dead and wasted presence on my computer.
Next, I know when I should visit the FAQ. I don't need to do that.
I appreciate your E-mail, but to me it seems that sloppy organization is a result of poor inter-department communication.
A good chunk of your revenue comes from little people like me. I'm not oversimplifying the matter; you do have the resources to trouble-shoot. But from what I had experienced, too many of your agents were ill-equipped to advise; and when they do make the effort, they tell me what I already know, or I get cut off when trying to pull out the ID number of that transaction.
I might try it again when my new computer arrives, or- I will not do business with Shutterstock anymore.

i need to find a working file for the Adobe Download assistant?

I was going to recommend Brother becasue they held OS9 support longer than just about anyone, but their current printers are now supported back to Mac OS10.3 to 10.4, depending on printer model.
If you can do with a b/w laser, the recently discontinued HL5250DN is very nice and OS9 drivers are still up on Brother support site (just checked). We have that model networked at home and its happily serving five Macs plus any visitors who bring their own computer.
This printer has been absolutely reliable and trouble-free. It has both USB and ethernet connectivity (I prefer the latter), does duplex (two-sided) printing, and 1200 dpi res. If you Google the model HL5250DN, you should turn up some of the model still in stock someplace.
If you need color, I'm at a loss for a recommendation there.

Mac, Download Assistant Problems...

Hi there, I just thought I'd let you guys know that I keep getting this message every time I try to download a trial copy of the master collection CS6 trial for mac:
"Sorry, an error has occurred.
The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author."
BTW, this is for the download assistant that I'm having problems with...
I have gone through your trouble shooting guide and tried everything I could to get your download assistant to work and get the same message??? Am I doing something wrong??
I am the administrator on my computer and this should be real simple but it's not.
Anyway, just thought you should know… If you have an answer for me let me know.
