Download Assistant won't Sign In

I've attempted to sign in with Adobe Download Assistant, both versions 1.2 and 1.2.1, and nothing at all happens when I click on "Sign In".  Signing in and downloading is impossible to do. Air is updated, I'm on OS10.7.4, and I'm on a corporate network where a proxy server may be restricting access to Adobe (though our IT department seems reluctant to investigate that).
Are there known issues with using Download Assistant on an office network?

It should be able to utilize the same proxy settings which are used by the rest of your Internet enabled applications.  You can try initiating a direct download by following the steps listed in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369.

  • Adobe Download Assistant won't complete download Acrobat Pro xi

Adobe Download Assistant won't complete download. It says downloading 501mb, and when it does that it goes around again and again. My download speed is about 7mb, so it shouldn't take more that a couple of hours at most...

Glyphodend I would recommend downloading Acrobat XI Professional directly from Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X.

  • Download assistant freezes while signing in

    Hi there,
Adobe download assistant freezes while signing in and so basically I can't download the software at all. Can anyone help in this?
    Thx

What software are you trying to download?
Could you run a small test? Sign-in with incorrect credentials and see if you get a valid error.

  • Adobe Download Assistant won't let me sign in?

I was going to download and install a trial version of Adobe Master Collection CS6, however, whenever I try and sign in to the assistant using my email and password, it just hangs at the sign up screen and does nothing. I'm forced to terminate the process using Windows Task Manager. This is the case every time I open Adobe Download Assistant and attempt to download the trial. I've tried restarting my computer, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I have no clue what else I can try. What can I do to overcome this mess and download the trial?

Try disabling it any other security software temporarily until you determine which software is causing your difficulty.  Alternately you can also download the install files directly by following the directions listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369.

  • Adobe Download assist won't let me sign in?

Ive beem trying to sign in for the past hour
    but everytime i sign in
it says" Error communicating with Adobe.com (error 100) Check your network connection and restart Adobe Download"
My network connections are working perfectly
Ive refreshed the download trial page, restarted my computer, run the program as administrator
i dont know what else to do?
    help?

The most common cause is because of the browser cookies.
Clear your browser's cookies. If you don't know how, see your browser's documentation for instructions.
Go back to the Adobe Downloads page for the product trial you are downloading and refresh it (Command+R or Ctrl+R).
If that doesn't help, then have a look at the following document that list other scenarios and solutions as well.: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html

  • Adobe download Assistant won't work.

Here's what happens I open adobe download assistant trying to download Adobe After Effects CS5.5 and I sign in I choose the folder for the download and then I wait for it to start downloading and it never does. It stays saying "Sign in with youy Adobe ID to continue"

I am using Windows 7 Home Premuim (64-bit) and had to download to the Desktop as the Adobe Employee stated. For whatever reason, the Adobe trials cannot be downloaded directly to Programs. IDK if this is something that will be fixed in the future? But until that time, Desktop or Users is the best (and conceivably--only) option.

  • Adobe Download Assistant Won't Bloody Work!!!

No matter what I do -- I even followed all the steps in solution 1, excluding the mac one, numerous of times, but none would work!! It's so frustrating!! It would always give me the same thing over and over again: "Error communicating with Adobe.com (Error 101). Check your network connection, and restart Adobe Download Assitant." Bloody thing won't work even if everything is perfectly fine!! TT____TT Please help me!

    Hi chocolateu,
Please refer the KB Doc to Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html

  • Adobe Download Assistant won't let me accept the Terms and Conditions, freezes computer.

I downloaded the Adobe Download Assistant today, and when the Terms and Conditions pops up, it won't let me click the Accept or Quit button. I'm trying to accept so I can download the trial of Photoshop CS6/CS6 Extended and the program freezes after the Terms and Conditions comes up. Therefore, I can't accept and move on to download.
I tried going to the troubleshooting page for the program and it doesn't have anything relating to this problem.
    Thanks in advance!

that would be a firewall setting so if your firewall is disabled, that setting is irrelevant.
you could use a direct download of ps cs6, if you follow all 7 steps: http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html
if you see a dl error page, you did not follow all 7 steps.
you can also, uninstall adobe download assistant and try reinstalling.

  • Adobe Download Assistant - Won't initiate download?

Okay, I've got the download assistant. I'm logged in on both the Adobe Website and the Adobe Download Assistant. I am running Windows 7 64bit. My internet connection is stable and everything is freshly updated.
If I attempt to initiate the download from ADA It asks me where I'd like to install it to, and then proceeds to not do anything. I don't get an install bar. I don't get any indication that it is doing anything beyond simply existing. If I attempt to try again I get the following message-
"There is already a product waiting to be added (Error 106). Please wait for the current operation to complete. If you believe you have recieved this message in error, you can restart Adobe Download Assistant and try to add the product again."
If I attempt to initiate the download from the Adobe Website I get one of two things:
If I'm not logged in on the Adobe Website, ADA asks me to log in and then I get the exact same thing as above including having to pick the product from the list as if I hadn't clicked the link on the website at all.
If I am logged in to the Adobe Website, ADA still asks me to log in. On the bottom of the application I'm offered 'Adobe Photoshop CS5.1' and an installation bar with "Sign in with your Adobe ID to continue" written underneith. When I log in it acknowledges me at the top of the application (("Welcome, [My Name]")) but nothing changes in the lower portion of the application and it still asks me to sign in to continue.
    Any suggestions?

You will want to complete solution 1 in Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html#main_Solutio n_1.  Where are you trying to save the install files too?
Alternately you can utilize the steps listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369 to initiate a direct download.

  • Adobe Download Assistant stuck at "Sign in with your Adobe ID to continue".

I'm trying to download Photoshop and I've downloaded Adobe Download Assistant and signed in, and it still says "Sign in with your Adobe ID to continue".  The assistant does count be as signed in though, since it says my name on the top bar (where it says "Welcome, (name)").  I've tried downloading other programs from it, tried restarting the program, and tried restarting my computer and I keep getting the same error.  Help?

    Hi!
I had the same problem, and I made sure I had enough space on the disk.
However, what seemed to help, was to change the location to another disk.
It might have helped to change to another folder or to start the download assistant as an administrator, I didn't get to try that, but atleast it worked for me when I changed the location, and I encourage others with the same problem to try the same or any of the other methods mentioned above.
    Hope this helps

  • Download Assistant Freezes After Sign in. Windows 8

I got a new computer this week (unfirtunately) with windows 8. When I first download the download assistant and signed in. It worked and I was able to download the trials. However it failed to install because I did not have "space". My computer is practially empty. I tried again today, however the download assistant now freezes right after sign in. I hve to use task manager to close it. I have tried everything i can think of....I uninstalled it. reinstalled it. Installed adove air separately. Did it several different ways. Ran as admin. Ran using only Nvidia etc.
Please help with any solution you can think of or if i can download the package direclty.
    Thanks!

Which product are you trying to install ?
Could you please explain what you mean by "failed to install because I did not have "space"" ?
Does it give you any error message ?

  • Adobe Download Assistant won't install

I've tried downloading the Adobe Download Assistant but I get the following message, "The Installer File is Damaged please get a new one from the author". I've tried with Safari, Firefox and Chrome, cleared the cache each time but no luck. I'm attempting to download CS6 Design and Web Suite. Wasted hours, can anyone help???PLEASE! Thanks.
I'm running Mac OS 10.6.8 on a mac pro

SAME PRODUCT, SAME PLATFORM, & SAME ERROR MESSAGE
    Sorry, an error has occurred.
The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author.
I called and talked to Bill the Tech Guy.  Waste of Time!!!
    What now??

  • Download Assistant won't work.  Error 107.

Download assistant doesn't work.  Login works okay but then I get "Error communicating with Adobe.   Error 107.  Restart download assistant."  I'm on Windows XP 32 and restarting the assistant or the machine doesn't help.  This worked fine last night but I had to clear some disc space, so I couldn't download last night.  I'm trying to get AE 6.

The tech specs for After Effects CS6 say that we need a 64-bit system. http://www.adobe.com/products/aftereffects/tech-specs.html
That's probably the reason why Adobe Download Assistant is not letting you download.
