Download crash

Download of Adobe Reader halts with error message that object is missing - how to fix?

Dear Michael:
Here is the text of my response to Peter Willener, who also kindly
responded to my cry for help:
Dear Peter:
My OS is Windows XP Pro SP3.
When I tried to reproduce the event to record the exact message, I
downloaded the downloader stub to my desktop, rather than to my usual
place (D:\downloads - I don't, as a rule, like to have either my desktop
or my C;\ directory cluttered with all these bits and pieces).
From the desktop, the download proceeded without any problems.
This could be good to disseminate!
And thanks for asking the questions that indirectly lead to the answer!

  • Photoshop Elements 9 Downloader crash with video clips on memory card

I have a Canon SX30IS. When I use PSE9 to download from memory card, if there are any videos present on the card, the Photo Downloader crashes.
I believe that it is something to do with Apple Quicktime. When I uninstall Quicktime , PSE downloader does not crash while importing media form this camera,  but cannot play video clips. On reinstalling Quicktime , the PSE downloader crashes while searching the memory card for media.
I have not upgraded PSE twice now because of this crash. What makes it worse is that Apple Quicktime is a very poor media player, managing about 2FPS on the video clips from this camera when both the Canon and the VLC video codecs can manage 30FPS.
I would much prefer if I could choose to use a video renderer, like using any available Windows codecs rather than insisting on using annoying Apple software.
    Mike

Please let  me know the mode in which camera/card reader is connected to the system (USB/PTP/MTP). This can be determined from camera.
    Please try to follow:
    1. Navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 9 Organizer\PhotoDownloader.exe.
    2. Right click on 'PhotoDownloader.exe' and select 'Properties'.
    3. Naviage to 'compatability' tab and click on 'Run this program in comptability mode for' and select 'win xp service pack 3'.
    4. In the same dialog, click on 'Run this program as an admin' under 'privelage level'.
    5. Now run the: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 9 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe as an administrator.
Please let me know if you face any issues in following the steps.

  • Why is the Photo Downloader crashing?  Please help

I have Photoshop Elements 11.  Recently, the downloader crashes whenever I try to run it.
I get an error code c0000005, address da831ac
I have downloaded the most recent update (20120923.r.32287).  It didn't help.
    I'm running Win 7, SP1.
I found an item of a very similar type that was posted several years ago and noone responded to it.
I've tried getting online chat to work, but it seems to always be busy.
    Message was edited by: Dave80537

Can you please try running PhotoDownloader.exe with admin right directly from its location within - C:\Program Files ( or x86)\Adobe\Elements 11 Organizer
and see if the crash still happens?
    Thanks

  • Elements 9 Downloader Crashes on connection to camera

I have Elements 9, when I try to download files from my camera the downloader crashes. It recognizes the camera but crashes when tying to connect. It worked about a week ago but will not work anymore. Any ideas how I can fix this?

I am not very sure of this problem but want to know if you tried card-reader instead of camera. At least you would be able to continue with your work. Which Camera do you have and whih mode is used to connect?

  • My photoshop elements 5 photo downloader crashes before I can download my photos .

why does my photoshop elements 5 photo downloader crash before I can download my photos? I tried to uninstall and reinstall it but it still crashes. The error code is : c0000005 Address 7c910919.

To uninstall PE12 on a MAC, can I just drag the PE12.app to the trash?
No! That will give you no end of trouble and will not fix anything. If you ever do need to uninstall you MUST use the uninstaller in applications>adobe photoshop Elements 12.
Go to your username>library>preferences and delete the following:
    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 paths
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 settings
    com.adobe.Elements Organizer.12.0.plist
    com.adobe.ElementsOrganizer.12.plist
and any lockfiles with the same names. That library is hidden. To see it, option click the Go menu in the Finder and it will appear below the little house for your user account.
While you're in there go to the saved application states folder and delete any pertaining to PSE. Y
Repair permissions and try again. You will need to select your catalog on first opening organizer.

  • 2 hrs & 1.8GB lost as illust CC download crashes. Anyone else have problems with this?

2 hrs & 1.8GB lost as illust CC download crashes. Anyone else have problems with this? (It was completely downloaded & just about to install and then it dropped out)

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
    If that doesn't work...
To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?

  • Bridge Photo Downloader Crashes Elements 8 iphone 4S

Photoshop Elements 8 (version 8.0). This is first time I tried to use photo downloader from Adobe Bridge (CS4 3.0.0.464) with my iphone 4s. It crashes every time. Have been to preferences and deleted adobe.downloader.plist. Still crashes. Thanks for your help!

I’m assuming Bridge is not recognizing the phone as a camera.
Go to Applications and try using Image Capture to get the photos on to your computer.
Or you can get a cheap photo transfer app for the phone:

  • Unable to download crash logs from iPhone 5  into MacBook Air 10.8.4

    Hi All,
I' am new to mac world. Apologies if this is a very basic question.
I have an iPhone 5 and and I would like to download my app's crash reports into my MacBook Air 10.8.4 for further ivestigation.
    What I did was:
    1. Connect device
    2. open iTunes and click sync (sync successful)
    3. Now all my photos that I took using my iPhone are visible in Macbook's iPhotos (until this - very good)
    Now,
    4. Open up a Terminal app
    5. put ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/ to download my iPhone app's crash logs, assuming they would all have synced, but unfortunately it doesn't look like it has even got CrashReporter/MobileDevice/ forlder created in my ~/Library/Logs/ directory.
Any help to download all the iPhone 5 app crash logs into my Macbook would be really very appreciated.
(Please also let me know if I need to change any setting in my iPhone that will allow me to download my crash logs from Diagnostics section into my Macbook)

  • BUG:  Dimensions Versioning Download Crash (ver 1.1.1.2.36.55.36)

    Jdveloper version: 11.1.1.2.0
    Dimensions extension version: 11.1.1.2.36.55.36
    Serena Dimensions version: CM 10.1.3
Client Specs: 32 bit Windows XP (up to date), 4 gigs memory, 200 gigs free hard disk
    Java Version: jdk1.6.0_17
    What I did:
First, I cleaned out my source code directory and did a full get of our Java project from the Serena Dimensions window client.
Serena Dimensions Client result: 10,373 files. 2,354 folders.
Then, I cleaned out the folder again and started up Jdeveloper. I selected the Dimensions download option from the menu, typed in my pass and selected my project and directory. The recurse directory was on, and the other checkbox options were off. There was no hourglass or microhelp telling me it was doing anything, but it was downloading files. After a while, it threw back a Java exception, which is at the bottom of this post.
Jdeveloper result (after Java exception): 9,236 files. 2,090 folders. It looks like it almost made it, but not quite.
An extra data point: I tried this same test about 6 or 8 months ago with an earlier version of the Oracle Dimensions extension and it crashed then to. I thought I would give it another go to see if this problem was fixed. The Dimensions extension is a nice feature that Netbeans doesn't offer, but it doesn't look like it's quite there yet.

I'm confused now in regards to your empty folder theory.
Under my "versioning" menu, the top choice is "Version Application...", and the choice right under that is "Download...". I selected the "Download..." option. I never selected any option for the IDE to automatically make an application project for me.
As a recap, this is what I did.
*1)* I set up my projects in the application navigator. They compiled just fine.
*2)* In order to test the Dimensions extension....
*2a)* I cleared out all of the source code using the Windows file explorer.
*2b)* I went to the versioning menu and clicked on "Configure," and then turned off "Versioning Support for Subversion."
*2c)* I observed that only the Dimensions options now showed up in the versioning menu.
*2d)* I clicked on the second option from the top in the versioning menu: "Download..."
*2e)* It asked for my user/pass and project name. It also asked me where I wanted to download the source code to. It never said anything about automatically trying to set up a project in my application navigator. Just a straight download to the disk - that's all.
*2f)* I let it run for a while but it crashed about 90% of the way through the download process. See first post for the metrics.
*2g)* I got a warning saying that the IDE may be unstable at this point and it gave me the option to exit the IDE or continue anyway and ignore the exception (Save files and exit). I tested both, and neither option seemed to affect the choices I saw when I restarted JDeveloper.
In both cases, when I restarted JDeveloper, all I saw in the versioning menu was the "Download..." option. "Log in" was not enabled. I then went to my application navigator and expanded one of my java projects and highlighted a class that was downloaded in step 2f. I right clicked on the class, selected the versioning sub-menu, and logged in. I was then able to view the history and check it out.
My question is -- why would the download process fail if it hits an empty folder? Am I overlooking something obvious here or is there a bug in the product?
I'm not telling the tool to download a project or anything like that. Just download the source. I'm sure we have a couple of empty folders in the main project because people are working on a new area in the code (and are making the packages). In addition, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a folder here and there from years ago that's empty.

  • Mint 13 X64 Firefox 17.0.0 in Channel and 17.0.1 downloaded crashing very regularly

I have 2 machines (a laptop and desktop) both with problems with FF crashing very regularly. Both are running Linux Mint X64 13 Mate, FF 17.0.0 in channel and one also has 17.0.1 downloaded from the site and installed to /opt/firefoxd but not linked to the FF in /usr/bin/ so I could do a little trouble shooting. Previous to a round of updates that included going from FF 16 to 17 on the system there was no problems. I have tried removing my profile and starting fresh, and changing flash to "Click to play" in the config of FF to see if that was the problem.

Well snap I downloaded 16.0.2 from the older repository here, installed it to /opt/firefox16/ and it crashed also. Is there any way for me to get a more detailed info from FF as to what is causing the crash? Could it be a problem with OpenJRE?

  • Itunes 9 download crashes my laptop

    Hi all,
I got a brand new Ipod for my birthday and on connecting it to my laptop it told me i needed at least itunes 9.0 for it to work.
I currently have itunes 8.1.2 and for some reason i can't install itunes 9.0.
Whenever the download is about 75% complete my laptop crashes, even task manager. And i have to manually reboot before i can do anything.
I've tried to download itunes 9.0 from the website but the same thing happens it crashes just when it begins to install Quicktime.
I uninstalled itunes and then when i tried to uninstall Quicktime again everything crashed. I have clicked repair as well and again it crashes my laptop.
Pleaseeee can someone help me i just want to get up and running with my lovely new ipod and am soo frustrated.
    Thanks,
    Caitlin

I uninstalled itunes and then when i tried to uninstall Quicktime again everything crashed. I have clicked repair as well and again it crashes my laptop.
Good lord. That's a fairly dramatic symptom to have occur during an install/uninstall (nowadays), Caitlin.
My worry here is that there's some disk damage on the PC "underneath" some QuickTime program files. So when Windows Installer tries to remove those files, it hits the dodgy patch of disk, and everything turns to custard. (Usually with one of those sorts of problems you'd get a 2330 installation error message, but if the disk damage is of the right/wrong type, a freeze of the PC would also be quite plausible.)
Try running a disk check over the drive you've got your QuickTime program files installed on. Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors:
[Check your hard disk for errors|http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Check-your-hard-disk-fo r-errors]
Does the disk check find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an iTunes/QuickTime install to go through properly afterwards?

  • Video Download Crash

On my first attempt to download a video from the itunes store, itunes crashed during the download.
Not only that but simply attempting to open the default video playlist in itunes crashes the app immediately.
a brief glimpse ( before the crash) of some file names in "videos" showed some MPEG audio files , not video.
Advice anyone on how to fix this issue?

Samething happened to me. I tried downloading the free pilot of Conviction in the itunes store. The video apppears to be just about to complete and then I tunes just vanishes. I can find the file and when I try to open it in Quickime Pro the samething happens. I tried even adding the file to my itunes play list and the samething happens. This also happens whenever I click on any preview. The only videos that will play in intunes are the movie previews.
I am using Itunes 6.0.3, Quicktime Pro 7.0.4, OS 10.4.5.

  • Download Crashes

It seems everytime there is a new download, it takes me about 2 hours to have my phone download through itunes. Once it hits this end, I get an error message that says something like unable to process error code 0022155 something to that effect with a red exclamation point. Then it tells me I need to set my phone back to its original factory settings, which I am forced to do. I have to redownload all my music and then it seems to take the download. Not sure why this does this? It only occurs when I access new downloads that come out. I was told that because so many people are downloading, it will do this, but then why does my phone always crash after this? Any suggestions out there?

Ps - your tagline shows OSX 10.4.10. The iPhone requires 10.4.11 - Verify that you have 10.4.11 installed.<<</div>
This is incorrect. The Mac system requirements for an iPhone are:
    * Mac computer with USB 2.0 port
    * Mac OS X v10.4.10 or later
    * iTunes 7.5 or later
System requirements for iTunes 7.6 are:
    Macintosh Requirements
    * Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later or Mac OS X 10.4.7 or later required for iTunes
    * Mac OS X 10.4.10 or later required for iPhone
    * 500MHz G3 processor or better
    * QuickTime 6.5.2 or later
    * 256MB RAM
    * Combo/SuperDrive to burn CDs
    * Broadband Internet connection (DSL/Cable/LAN) for buying and streaming music

  • App Store download crashing; any fixes?

I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times over, but since none of the existing threads have helped me, I creating a new one. I downloaded PrE 11 off of the Mac App Store and after it installed I tried opening it but it instead gives me the classic ambiguous error message: "Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Editor quit unexpectedly." I can't tell you how annoying this is since it looks like this problem has been around for a while and absolutely nothing has been done about it by either Apple or Adobe. Apple should just take the download off the App Store without any input from Adobe. Anyway, the main console message that is thrown when this happens could help solve this:
    xpcd:
Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Editor[6685]: registration request failed: (0x11, 0x0) failed to compile sandbox profile: out of memory
I've previously tried everything under the sun to get it to run. I've opened it from the folder (as opposed to the launchpad), verified fonts, logged in as the root user, repaired permissions, uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing is working.
Don't ask people to pay thousands of dollars for your products if they don't even run.

    PRE_help
Thanks for your help for this Premiere Elements 11 Mac user.
Would it be possible for you to say what makes OS 10.8.2 a problem in this regard in contrast to Mac versions before and after it?
Also have you seen and are you going to respond similiarly to the user in the recent thread which too revolves around App Store Premiere Elements 11 crashing.

  • .ACSM file doesn't full download, crashes ADE 4.03 on Mac

Help, everytime I download a more restricted library book to my ADE on Mac it crashes.  I have the log.
If I download a free for the whole world to use book , such as James Joyce Ulysses, I am offered from the start an .epub version which is fine.  I can open those. Thus, the problem seems to be centered on accessing the book through the .acsm system.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled ADE 2x now.
Any I have reauthorized per my librarian and it did not help.
Why are the .ascm files not working? How can get this to work?
For any employees who are monitoring this forum, I can get you the error log.
    Thank you,

    Hello,

  • PSE 6 - Downloader Crashes when iPhone connected

The Adobe Photo Downloader opens, detects my iPhone, see the photos, then a dialog pops up and says "Fatal Error - Adobe Photo Downloader has encountered a problem and needs to close. error code c0000005"
Don't take a lot of photos with the iPhone for obvious quality reasons, but annoying nonetheless as I do use the photo's gps data for tagging photos taken with my Canon.
Any ideas on getting the Downloader to not crash?

    Hi,
I also observed the same crash once. But, to my surprise, when I reconnected the phone to my system after a month or so, it detected the phone and downloaded the data without any crash.
Could you please share some info on crash as to if you had installed any custom applications and/or updated the firmware of the phone?
Also did you sync your contacts or setup mails when you last saw the crash?
    Thanks,
    Tarun
