receiving this message: WHY? I already have Indesign CC installed but need CS6.

Intel dual core processor

hi, If you are subscribed user, you can download InDesign CS6 from creative clod desktop.
Here are the steps :
1. Launch creative cloud app.
2. Click on more information link below InDesign CC shown on your App panel on creative cloud.
3. It will take you to https://creative.adobe.com/  Indesign page.
4. Here you will see a drop down for Indesign CC and Indesign CS6. Select InDesign CS6 and click download.

    After downloading CS6 Design Standard (files 1 and 2), the larger of the two files was saved to my download folder as a 7Z file. The smaller file was the "extractor." Check available space on your computer and the write privileges on the destination folder" After click OK, this message appears: "A problem occurred while extracting the archive. Please try downloading the Adobe CS6 Design Standard again." After clicking OK, this is the last message that comes up: "Exception EListError in module DesginStandard_CS6_LS16exe at 0001B6E3. List index out of bounds (0)," accompanied by the dreaded red X.
    This wasn't a cheap purchase. And my computer is only five months old, so memory shouldn't be an issue. Does anyone have any suggestions? For starters, an idea on how to open a 7Z file? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    I have downloaded CS6 Design standard version all other programmes work great but InDesign just will not open. I don't even get the pop-up window asking whether I would like to open a document or have a new one. I just get a quit unexpectedly.
    I have uninstalled it all and re-installed, I have checked varying things like preferences, Im running the newest version possible. I have a mac, 10.9.5 version.

    I believe you can import them from Flash Professional CS6. I've never done it, however. From the Animation panel menu, there's a Manage Preset command. You're supposed to be able to load motion presets from Flash.

    I removed the ObjectModel.dll to recreate it and got the same error. Completed a clean with the CS cleanup tool and downloaded/installed a fresh copy. Tested, same issue. Created new file, same issue.

    You appear to be losing the network connection to your file. I think we're seeing a fair amount of this error, but I don't know a fix other than working locally. ID seems more sensitive than other apps in this regard.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice.  I have shut down my laptop and restarted it.

    you shouldn't need to uninstall anything (and do not delete any files).
    just run the master collection installer and tick/select the programs you want to install.

    try resetting your preferences by holding down shift-ctrl-command while starting id cs6.  if done correctly you'll see a confirmation dialog.

Then I went to the side link button - buy - it takes you to Adobe Store - Middle East and North Africa - which is only letting me purchase the full version.  I just finally was able to contact support via the phone and was helped thru this all.     @kc.k – You will need InDesign CS4 for that.
    CS4 is the only version, that can export/import both IDML and INX exchange formats.
    And you need an exported INX file (from InDesign CS4) that can open your exported IDML file from CS6, CC or CC-2014.
    Since you are still running CS3 I'd suggest you downloading a 30days version of CS4 and do the conversion:
