Download email attechments , pdf - jpg - other
Hello ,
I'm using a Lumia 925 but there is a problem with the attechments in emails.
When I get an email with an atteched file I double "click" on the email to download the complete email so I can see the attached file but when I want to open that file I get an error :
- The type of file you try to open is not allowed on this phone (translated from Dutch : "Het bestandstype dat u probeert te openen is niet toegestaan op de telefoon"
This error I get with normal PDF , jpg and bmp files (Adobe is installed so I has to be reconized ?? the other files ar standard windows files I think ? so those can't give that error either)
Who can help me solving this problem ? I'm often on the road so it's creating a lot of stress that I can't answer my clients correctly because this issue ...
Hope someone has the solution for me ?
What you've described is something I do everyday wuthout any issues. The pdf's would require the installation of a pdf reader as you have already done, but the jpg's should just open. There are no settings for you to change or tweak. Has it always been like this or has it only been like this recently?

Email atachments: PDF and other
I need to attach documents when I reply to email. The docs are PDF and text files sitting in a 3rd party app (air sharing, good reader, etc). So I go to there, copy the doc and try to paste it in the email. It doesn't work.
My question is if this is because of Apple's sandboxing restrictions or just the apps are crap. If its the apps, then I will look for a good app. (If it is Apple's fault, then no more iOS things for me).

Why do multiple Download windows pop up when I download a PDF or other file?
Everytime I try to download a file (PDF, JPG, DOC) that was attached to an email (I am using Outlook WebMail) the document will download fine HOWEVER eight (8!!!) or more Download windows pop up as if I tried to download that file eight (or more) times.
So then I have to "X" out of each window after downloading one file. It is the same file listed on each popup window.
Since this is a new problem I tried shutting down the computer and restart but not successful.

(I pressed the "Problem Solved" button however it did not give me a chance to type anything so I found the thread and pressed "Reply")
Anyhoo...I went to Safe Mode and Firefox worked great. Went back to regular mode and again multiple Download windows when trying to download a file.
I then did as you suggested and poked around in the Add Ons and there was something called Download Manager Tweak that was upgraded last week and that was when the problems started. I got rid of it and my Downloads are working great.

Why does Reader XI download email attachments to my Download folder before I am able to print them?
After last update my Reader XI automatically downloads email attachments (.pdf) to my Downloads folder. I then have to open that file in order to print it. Before, the attachment would open in Reader and I could print from that direct.
Windows 8, Firefox email client. What happens is that I click on attachment links in emails, which are .pdf files. Instead of a menu allowing opening of the file with Reader, the file gets automatically downloaded to my Downloads folder. I then have to open that folder, click on the file name... then Reader opens and I can view the file as well as print it from the Reader menu.

What can i do?In the preferences file, it already shows that my signature belongs to my mail account. In fact, everything is precisely how I had it setup before Lion upgraded the mail program. According to Mail - Preferences - Signatures, my signature should be automatically appended to my email, but the compose window doesn't allow me to select the signature. It only shows that there are no signatures and gives me an option to open the preferences file.
My point is that the preferences are set up correctly. Something else is broken here. -
I am getting messages that I can't download and read .pdf files since I have the wrong Adobe reader. I know about their security disasters of course, but I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader from the Adobe web site and I have other ,pdf file readers as well, and for some reason they won't work either. I have 5 computers running top end processors and RAM. By this I mean I have one, this one which I am using that has an AMD Phenom Black 3.2 Quad-core with 8 GBs of Corsair top DDR2 RAM, my other two AMD have either an Athlon II triple core with 4 GBs of DDR2 Corsair RAM, one with the Phenom X4 965 3.4 GHz Quad-core with 8 GBs of their best DDR2 RAM, and two Intels with the i7 920 Processors using the triple channel 1366 socket processors and one with 8 GBs of low latency DDR3 RAM and the other with 4 GBs of the same RAM. I am getting the message on this one, which has a fresh install of XP Pro X64 operating system, as do the other 4 as well. I have run Avast Business Pro Anti-virus on this one, which I am getting the message on with a single result which I deleted, and also both Spybot Search and Destroy, which came back clean as well as Malwarebytes Antimalware, which got a lot of tracing cookies now removed, and SuperAntiSpware which also found a few cookies also now deleted. Can you tell me what I need to do to get these files to show as .pdf files rather than as a clean blank page. One other issue is that I wish to know how to turn off my downloads so they are saved and Mozilla will give me the option of returning them instead of me losing them all together as it does now. Thanks for your assistance. If there is another Adobe reader I should download and install, could you provide me with the link to it? I appreciate your assistance here

How do you download and open PDF files that come in the email?
I can NOT download or open PDF files. It prompts me to open in IBooks and then it's not there. I am so frustrated. PLEASE HELP!
Touch the attachement once to download it. Then touch it a second time, after it is downloaded ( watch the attachment icon) to open it in quick view. if you want to do something more than just view it, and if you want to save it, Touch and hold the downloaded attachment to get the 'open in' pop up, and any app that supports PDFs, like I books, or any of the other PDF ready apps.
If it is not downloaded yet, it will not be in I books. -
I'm using iphone 4S and ipad mini, and I can not open PDF file only from my husband email that using Mic outlook. It was very weird because I can received other email with pdf file from other people. Can someone help...

This may because the attachment is a winmail.dat file. I would recommend taking a look at the article below for more information. Note: the article is written for OS X mail, but does also apply to this situation.

When printing an email to PDF (in OS X 10.8.2) it will overwrite if another already printet with the same name, this did not happen in older versions. Why?

When you create a snapshot you create a snapshot task which (provided you are using a server-side data store) can be run from a job. To refresh the data, run the snapshot task as part of a job. If you create a job with both the snapshot and the process that uses it, they will automatically connect and will 'stream' the data through the snapshot into the process. You can then choose whether actually to write the snapshot or not (for improved performance efficiency if you want to do straight-through processing) by either enabling or disabling the staged data bucket that the snapshot writes to. The snapshot task being in the job means the data will be refreshed.
For design work in Director, you can refresh the snapshot by re-running it manually from the right-click menu.

I just updated my iPhone 4. I now cannot synch with music on my iMac nor can I download from iTunes. All other syncing activity works: calendars, email, ibooks and contacts are all automatically updated across all devices. Not music.
How do I get music to download and sync?Plug your phone into itunes.
Click the iphone there, and go to the music tab.
Is the Sync Music tab checked off? And is the entire music library selected? -
iphone 5 not downloading emails from one email address. Other email address work ok. Any suggestions?

I am using CRM ONLINE 2013.
How to automate below process?
1. On Approval Of Quotation, Run Report.
2. Generate PDF.
3. Send an Email With PDF as attachment.
As i have gone through many forums for this topic, but creating a plugin code for generating Report PDF is not possible in CRM ONLINE.
So, What is the alternate way to do this..?

Problems with Safari to download and save pdf files
I used to download pdf with no problems at all, right now the download window does not open at all and tha option Save as is acting like the file is being saved but no pdf file appears in the downloads folder or in any other folder select. I am new in safari, and I am not a very well internet instructed person, please help.

Why won't Adobe reader no longer let me view previously download (from Safari) pdf's? I am running OSX 10.8.5 and have uninstalled and reinstalled latest version of Reader. I get this error message "Adobe Reader could not open 'OD Test Bed Proposals_0.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)." I have tried changing the 'open with' options too. Thanks
Try this:
Go to: Mac HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins
Trash the AdobePDFViewer.plugin and AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin files
Empty the trash
Relaunch Safari. You can now download undamaged PDFs. -
No longer able to print emails to pdf
Mysteriously, my Acrobat 9 Pro Extended will no longer allow me to print emails to pdfs. It used to do so. Now, when I try to print an email to pdf, I receive an error: invalidfont; offendingCommand; xshow.
I used the built in "repair" function and reloading the software, both to no avail.
