  • Can you print entire dashboard into excel

    I'm trying to see in i can print/send my entire dashboard to excel, if so how do i set it up to have the download link at the bottom?

    I want to say no you can't. I'm trying to imagine what you are trying to do which is to have one button that will nicely download multiple reports from a dashboard page into Excel, only downloading the reports, and nothing else. Well, that can't be done out-of-the-box and you definitely can't change the "download" link to do this.
    Now, having said that, I'll give you several ways you can do this. None are pretty though.
    1) Click anywhere in your dashboard and press CNTRL-A, then CNTRL-C. This will highlight the whole dashboard and copy it to the clipboard. You can then paste it in Excel.
    2) Click on the Print>HTML. When the page renders, save it as MHTML. Then open the file in Excel. Save it as an Excel file.
    3) Third Way
    a) Open the dashboard to the page you wish to "copy."
    b) Highlight the address you see in the address bar and copy it to the clipboard.
    c) Now open up Excel and click on the "Get External Data from Web" button. (I am using Excel 2007 for this example and you can find this command by searching through the commands.)
    d) Paste the URL in the window that appears. Scroll to the end and add &Format=Excel.
    e) Click the "Go" button. The OBI login window will appear.
    f) Log in to OBI in the usual manner.
    g) The dashboard page will appear in the window along with many yellow arrows, each referring to an element on the page. Select the yellow arrow corresponding to the dashboard page itself.
    h) Click the "Import" button. The dashboard page will import into Excel.

  • Export entire Dashboard in excel is giving error generating document when table view have subtotals

    Hi all,
    We have dashboard with multiple tabs and are trying to Export entire Dashboard into excel.
    Excel file is generated with all dashboard tabs as sheets but few of those sheets are empty with Error generating document message in first cell.
    After further analysis we concluded that cause is table view with subtotals enabled. Pivot tables with subtotals are generated properly.
    Obvious workaround solution to recreate table views into pivots is not possible due high number of reports.
    We are running Oracle Business Intelligence Product Version 11.1.1.7.150120 (Build 150113.1200 64-bit)
    Any ideas or solutions about this problem would be much appreciated.
    Thank you;
    Klaudio

    We just found culprit
    Rows per page of table view must be max 999999999 which is more than enough for our needs.

    I'm not aware of a workaround to download the whole dashboard to excel in one shot. You might want to look into the BI Office Plug-in, though.

  • Downloading entire Dashboard page

    Hello Guys,
    I have a dashboard page with about 6 reports and I need to download the entire dashboard page. I know to report links for individual reports but I want to know if there is a way to download the entire dashboard page at once (into one excel sheet)?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I don't know what you're envisioning when you say you want to download an entire dashboard page into Excel, but consider that a dashboard has many elements outside of just the "6 reports" you mentioned. Also, are the reports just tables or are there charts and conditional formatting (e.g., green, red, yellow balls, etc.)? Any of these features would make the download look ugly regardless of how you do it, but if you insist, here are a couple of options:
    Option 1
    1) Click on the dashboard print icon and select HTML.
    2) Save the file in .mht format.
    3) Open up Excel and navigate to the file.
    4) Select the file.
    Option 2
    1) Click anywhere in the dashboard and click CNTRL-A and then CNTRL-C
    2) Open Excel and paste.
    These are two ways you can have the whole dashboard in Excel.

  • Dashboards - Download to CSV or Excel?

    Is it possible to download to csv or Excel from a dashboard?

    I found the answer. The "Properties" button for the report(s) on the dashboard has a "Report Links..." option. This is where to change the setting.

  • Printing entire Dashboard from BI 7.0

    Hi, I'm developing a custom dashboard that uses HTML DIV's and Java Script.  I know the users are going to want to print out the entire Dashboard and have the output look as it does on the screen.  The dashboard is optimized for 1280X1024 so I am imagining that the output would have to be scaled to fit onto letter or even legal.
       Does anyone have any design guidlines on how to make the printout look like the actual dashboard screen?  All of the BW and custom HTML elements would have to show.  Do I have to do anything special?  Embed everything into a group or anything like that?
    Thanks, Ken Murray

    PDF within BI 7.0 does not maintain the layout while printing dashboards.
    One option is to use Export to Excel function to download to Excel and use Excel formatting and print the dashboard.
    Another option is to use standard browser print functions, you can use a print specific CSS file for doing this.

    Problem solved!!
    <br><br>
    See this part of the query:
    <br><br>
    if :P15_GESTOR_PROPIETARI='-3' then<br>
    w:= w||' AND (("STASVWREPORT_TASQUES"."GES_GES_ID"=:GESTOR ';<br>
    w:= w||'OR "STASVWREPORT_TASQUES"."GES_GES_ID_ESTA_ASSIGNADA"=:GESTOR)';<br>
    w:= w||'OR ("STASVWREPORT_TASQUES"."AGR_***_***_ID"=<FONT color=red>:P15_CANVI_DE_CLUB</FONT> ';
    w:= w||' AND "STASVWREPORT_TASQUES"."PUBLICA"=''S''))';<br>
    end if;<br>
    <br>
    when instead of :P15_CANVI_DE_CLUB I put a value (say ''EE'') it works correctly, finally I created an application item (ASSOCIAT) and when when I change :P15_CANVI_DE_CLUB I set :ASSOCIAT to the same value and the query is based on this application item:
    <br><br>
    if :P15_GESTOR_PROPIETARI='-3' then<br>
    w:= w||' AND (("STASVWREPORT_TASQUES"."GES_GES_ID"=:GESTOR ';<br>
    w:= w||'OR "STASVWREPORT_TASQUES"."GES_GES_ID_ESTA_ASSIGNADA"=:GESTOR)';<br>
    w:= w||'OR ("STASVWREPORT_TASQUES"."AGR_***_***_ID"=<FONT color=red>:ASSOCIAT </FONT>';<br>
    w:= w||' AND "STASVWREPORT_TASQUES"."PUBLICA"=''S''))';<br>
    end if;<br>

    I have several small reports on dashborad page...
    Is it possible to download all the reports from dashboard page at once?
    Thanks,
    Mani.

    Hi Mani,
    I think right now we don't have any option like that. for that you have to decode the java where the download option file is there and try to over write that option with entire dashboard, but this is not possible, i think so........

  • Download pricing procedure to excel

    Hi,
    Tcode V/08
    how to download entire pricing procedure to excel file .
    PL suggest

    Go to V/08, select your pricing procedure and execute.  Now place your mouse at extreme left corner (first step number) and press Cntrl+Y  so that your mouse icon will become like plus sign.  Drag the mouse to extreme right and scroll down simultaneously.
    Copy the data and paste it in excel.  Please note that the data will be copied only till what you could see the last step number in the screen.  You have to click PageDown key  and continue as above till last step number.
    Last but least, three tabs, viz.Manual, Required and Statustical check boxes will not be  copied into excel.  You have to insert these manually.

    Hi All,
    I am thinking this is machine specific, when I log on in the other users machine and when I download to Excel, it downloads and opens as a Excel file. It is just not working in my machine. I am not sure what is difference in both our machines, as both are company issued laptops with the same softwares and configurations. Not sure where to start trouble shooting. Please help with any inputs, thank you.Okay, if you are saying that your Excel won't recognize an .mhtml file -- (So what you're saying is that when you save the file and double-click it, it asks you for the program you wish to open the file in? -- then it could be that Excel is not assigned as the application to open these types of files.
    Do this to check:
    1) Open up Windows Explorer (Hold the Microsoft Key -- the one to the left of the Alt key -- and then press "E." This is a shortcut to opening Windows Explorer. (Note: Do not be confused with Internet Explorer!)
    2) Click on Tools>Folder Options and when the window opens, click on the File Type Views.
    3) Scroll down until you get to .mhtml. What is the application associated with this file extension? Change it to Excel and then Excel should open the file for you.
