Download error -100008

I tried to download 2 Bob Dylan albums yesterday from the iTunes store.
Got a download error -100008 for 3 songs.
Apple support mailed that I had to delete the cache for these songs (~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Downloads) but I cannot find this directory.
Maybe the caches where deleted this night, I use Onyx to automatically delete the caches every night.

Hello,
sorry for answering so late, but was on vacation for quite a long time.
I use Netbarrier, so I suppose your solution will work.
Meanwhile I have been refunded, so ....

  • Error -100008 stops downloads after purchase

    Any ideas?
I purchased music from the iTunes Store, the files automatically began to download, at the very end of the download, i got a symbol with error -100008 saying that the files may be corrupt. I tried to re-download through "Check for Purchases" and ran into the same problem over and over again. Please help!

While it states a -50 error, try this:

  • Error -100008. What do I do?

After coming back to my itunes from being offline, I get error 100008 and then my video downloads restart from the beginning and download painfully slow for a T3 connection. It currently has a TV show taking 208 hours to download.
    WHAT CAN I DO???

There are a couple solutions suggested in other threads:
    1. Repair disk permissions (open "Utilities" folder in your "Applications" folder; select "Disk Utility"; highlight your hard drive; click on "Repair Disk Permissions"
    2. Change permissions on "Shared" folder to allow "Read & Write" for all users. To do this, follow the instructions below, but do it for the parent "Shared" folder instead of the subfolder "adi" mentioned there.
I found neither of these worked, so did the following (suggested by another user in a different thread):
Allowed "Read & Write" permission for all users in the "adi" folder, which is found in the "Shared" folder
    1. Search in Spotlight for "Shared"
    2. In the search results, click on "Shared" folder to open it
    3. In the "Shared" folder, there will be a folder called "adi"
    4. Right click on "adi" and select "Get Info"
    5. At the bottom of the "Get Info" window will be the "Sharing & Permissions" section
    6. At the very bottom right corner is the image of a padlock - click on the lock and enter your password (this allows you to make changes to permissions)
    7. Click on the little up and down arrows to bring up menu of possible permissions for each user
    8. Select "Read & Write" for all users
    9. Click on lock to secure the permissions
This solved my -45054 error message problem. Now downloading happily.
I happened to be on hold with AppleCare at the time and as soon as the tech came on, he confirmed this as a possible solution known to him.
    Hope this helps!

  • Download error - corrupted?

I started downloading an album I bought from iTunes Store last night and all but four songs downloaded fine, but no matter how many times I "check for purchases", those four songs are coming up with an error that says:
error -100008 the file seems to be corrupted!
Does anyone know what this means? My internet connection is and was fine during the download!
    Much appreciated.

Nevermind, everyone. Somehow, plugging my ipod in made it... continue the downloads? I have no idea. But the songs are in my library now.

  • Unable to download movies (100008)

I am having problems downloading a movie. When it reaches the end of the download a message comes up stating that the file seems to be corrupt. Beside the file download of the application it idicates error 100008.
I've tried this twice now! Does trying again help?
I am running Windows 2000 sp4 with 512 megs of RAM. The version of iTunes is 7.0
This is my first purchase of a movie and I find it rather frustrating!

There are two ways that I know of, one easy and one a real pain. They way I did it was to simply go to add/delete programs through the control panel. I found the Network Access Manager by Nvidia and removed it. If you have problems you may also have to use the Microsoft install clean up utility available through Microsoft in the downloads page.
If you track the program integration you will find that even while disabeled, the network access manager is linked to iTunes, IE explorer and Outlook. There have also been reports of this firewall causing problems with large file downloads. I was having problems on occasion with large file downloads. Now that I have removed it those problems have been cleared up as well.
Worst case scenario would be to reinstall Windows XP and when it asks to load the Nvidia drivers for your mobo do not chose to accept the Nvidia firewall.
If you do remove your firewall protection make sure to load another firewall program. I use McAfee and it is not giving me any problems with iTunes, or Zonealarm provides a free firewall that I have used in the past with good results, and hay Kim Komando recommends it so it has to be good, right?

  • Download error in (osx) adobe desktop app (corrupted download link).

Here is a discription of the problem. Please consider that some of the wording might not be correct, as I do have to translate the error message from German into English.
Using OSX 10.9.2, when clicking inside the adobe desktop app (top of the screen bar) on the tap "apps", the following screen (screenshot) appears, which states, translated from top to bottom:
    download error
    download error. Please contact support.
    (link) contact support
(link/button) download creative cloud -> This button unfortunatly leads to the following error page "http://www.adobe.com/special/errorpages/404.html"
All apps, like Bridge, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc. are installed and work just fine. So no problem here. I seem however unable to redownload the desktop app (in order to reinstall). As stated above the provided link inside the desktop app itself is coruppted and within the (online) web-based download centre (user logged in) I am only adviced to use the desktop app. This is a dead end and I do not know what to make of this error, let alone solving it. Please help!

I am sorry Romsinha but this doesn't really help.
I already restarted the desktop app and while I am obviously online and connected the problem (error message) remains the same. Information within the "home" tap is recieved/loaded  (little blue spinning wheel) stating that various apps recently have been updated. Yet the same loading wheel within the "apps" tap results in an error. My best guess is that some internal link within the app is corrupted, leading to a source on a server that can not be reached.
    UPDATE
I clean uninstalled adobe creative cloud as discribed in the article you provided (using the cleaner tool) and even uninstalled the browser plugin. After downloading and reinstalling creative cloud the problem however remains the same. "Apps" tap still shows the same problem. "Home" tap now displays the following:

  • "Download Error" - Can't download/install any programs.

I downloaded CC on my Win 8.1 machine (after a windows crash and upgrade to 8.1).  Previously it was working fine (on Win 8).  Now the CC desktop app connects to my account but the Apps tab has a red exclamation error and when you click the tab it says "Download Error."  and to "Please contact customer support."  (See below:)
Apparently this seems to be a prevalent issue as I see multiple threads and support requests with this same error.
I got on Chat and followed all the troubleshooting advice, uninstalled, reinstalled, used the Removal tool, deleted folders from the AppData locations, everything.  Finally was getting ready to do something else and the Adobe server disconnected my chat session.
I know it is not MY internet connection because everything else is up and running fine, including streaming radio progams and other chat programs.
I tried visiting something on Adobe's siteand received the following error:
So what is going on Adobe?  I need to get my programs back so I can get back to work.
Edited to add - After another hour of being on chat support I got disconnected again.  Same error:  "Sorry, we're having technical difficulties."

So after four hours and dozens of troubleshooting issues, I figured out what was wrong.  I am on a fixed-wireless system at home.  I have used this same system and network setup in the past for CC.  My average DL speeds are 2.0 Mbps.  Not super fast but it has worked in the past.  On the 3rd or 4th chat session I was told that you can't use wireless with CC and I need to be on a fixed wired connection.  Finding that as rediculous as possible, I decided to test my network.  I logged off and used my AT&T CELL PHONE as a hotspot (which gets me about 4.0 Mbps download speeds, albeit with a higher ping) and VIOLA the Apps tab is there and I can download programs.

  • Download Error on Mavericks (mac)

When I go to the Creative Cloud application on the desktop, I go to the Apps tab and I get "Download Error" and when I try to reload the application, the error persists.
I'm on a macbook running Mavericks, I've deleted the AAMUpdater (though it creates a new one every time I reload the applications) folder in ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe...  As per Re: Creative Cloud "Download Error" message , I looked in the OOBE folder and there was no opm.db, just a singe folder alias called "PDApp," which contained a pim.db, along with a bunch of other folders and files.
When I enabled the root user and logged into that account after restarting, I tried the Apps tab again and it was working just fine, in the root user.  But when I logged out and back into my regular account, I was still getting the download error.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Creative Cloud and that didn't work. I have Photoshop and Fireworks installed, so it WAS working at some point in time... I'm out of ideas...  Help please?

  • Adobe Application Manager Download Error (and other problems)

Last week I purchased a Creative Cloud membership (Student and Teacher Edition, if that matters at  all).  When I tried to download applications, the Adobe Application Manager seemed to be unable to connect and instead displayed "Download Error. Press Retry to try again or contact customer support."  I read some of the responses to this problem on the forums, and after trying several things, I got it to work (I'm honestly not sure what I did that caused it to work).  However, it is now failing to work again and I can't seem to fix it this time.  As an additional problem, When I tried to open Adobe Premiere Pro (which I managed to download when I got the App Manager working for a while), I got the opening screen that asked me to open a project or start a new project.  No matter what I clicked on, Premiere Pro closed with an error message. Just as with the App Manager (and at the same time), I managed to get Premiere Pro to work (it seemed to work after I set permissions so I thought I solved it), so I was able to use it for a day.  However, now the problem has returned.
I don't know if these two problems are related, but they started working at the same time and stopped working at the same time, so I'm posting them together in case there is a connection.  I am running Windows Vista on my home computer.  I can sign on to the creative cloud online without problem so it recognizes me as a creative cloud subscriber.  My Internet connection is working fine.  I have disabled all firewalls and it still doesn't work.  Very frustrating, obviously.
Thanks for your time and any help or suggestions you can give.

Kardypaine for your Internet configuration difficulties I would recommend reviewing Sign in or activation errors | CS6, CS5.5 Subscriptions, CS6 Perpetual - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html.
For the failure of Premiere Pro to open you will want to review the install log to see if you received an installation error.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation logs at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

  • AAM 6.2 All - Download Error (U44M1I216) updating Adobe CSXS Infrastructure CS6

I'm a CS6 Cloud subscriber running Win7 32-bit and have been having the general 'Download Error/Update Failed' issue with AAM since 12/15/2012.  I spent a couple of hours on the Live Chat line with an Adobe support person during which I downloaded and used the Cleaner; downloaded and installed the AAM 6.2 All package but continued to have the same issue 'Download Error/Update Filed' since.
I believe that I made progress this morning after reading a post on the boards from a direct licensed user with a different AAM issue.  I used the Help/Update function of one of my CS applications which brought up an instance of AAM which, unlike the 'normal' System Tray version of AAM, didn't immediately go to the 'Download Error/Update Failed' state.  This instance of AAM presents both an About and Preferences buttons.  I pressed the Preferences button and this next screen showed the list of my applications and had both a Cancel and OK buttons.
When I pressed the OK button, I got to another screen with the list of my applications and About, Preferences and Update buttons.  In addition to the list of my applications, each application had both a checkbox and an list expose button.  When I pressed the list expose button for each of my applications, I got a complete list of the updates - at the 'package/version level - that AAM 6.2 ALL was attempting to install on my machine in order to maintain all of my applications.
I used that list to go to the Updates page on Adobe to find each of the listed package/version combo's that were listed by AAM 6.2:

      17-Feb-2013   5:38:10a          2,135   Adobe Prelude CS6 1.0.3 02-17-2013.log.gz
I downloaded and installed each of those update packages, one by one, and wittled down the list of packages that AAM sensed as needing to be updated down to just the 'Adobe CSXS Infrastructure CS6' package - needed by both Photoshop and Prelude.
I used the CSXS Infrastructure CS6 install log file - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers - to confirm that the installation of the specific version that I had found was successful and it was:
    02/17/13 07:01:30:198 | [INFO] | | OOBE | DE | | | | 4576 | Successfully installed 1 component:
    02/17/13 07:01:30:198 | [INFO] | | OOBE | DE | | | | 4576 | - Adobe CSXS Infrastructure CS6_3.0.1_AdobeCSXSInfrastructure3-mul
I assume that there must be a later update to the Adobe CSXS Infrastructure CS6 package that isn't yet posted on the general Update site for direct down load.  When I try to use the application specific instance of AAM to do the update of both Photoshop and Prelude with the version of CSXS that it senses is needed, I get the U44M1I216 error code in the AAM log.
Does anyone know if there is a later version of CSXS that is being called for?  If so, do you have a link to where on the update site I can download it for direct update?
      Thanks,
      Frank

  • "Download Error" message in desktop app

Had an issue with updated payment info not taking a little while back. Found out when the desktop app gave me the "download error" message and to contact customer service. Got the billing info squared away but the download error message I'm getting is still all I can get on the desktop app.
I've tried signing out and signing back in, uninstalling the desktop app and reinstalling and still no joy. Anyone else having this issue? Or any insight as to what else I can try?
