Download error ios 5

After downloading I get an error when it's processing the new software. It says the software on my iPhone was demaged
during the download. Unhook the cable and try again. Check your network settings.
Can anyone help me with this? I tried already several times.

The update was coming in correctly now, BUT now I get an error 14 and my phone stays in
recovery mode. Each time it can't recognize it and I have to try to recover, after minutes it stops again
and gives error 14..... Do you have a suggestion for this?
Thanks

  • IPad 2 download error - iOS 5

Everytime I try to download iOS 5 on my iPad 2, it gets to almost the end and stops. Then, it asks me what it asked me for in the beginning: to read and agree to the terms.
Then, it starts all over and says there was an error with my internet conncection, and make sure they're correct. I checked my network settings and it says there is no problem. Any suggestions?

It gave me the error upon pliugging it into this computer for the very first time.  I do always click eject, though.  On this computer I cannot even open the iPad 2.
I synched it to a different work computer (I work in two buildings) and then upgraded to iOS5.  I should be able to sync to the cloud...
What I need to do is access the videos I took on this iPad to be able to edit them or upload them for another person to see.

I have an iphone 4s. I tried to download the iOS 7 but it couldn't download because it said it was an error. I have plenty of space to download the upgrade. Do you know what it is?

Keep trying or maybe try again later.  There are millions of people who are currently trying to do the same thing you're doing.  Just be patient and you will be able to update, this happens on launch day.  Just curious.....what was the error

  • Adobe air on iOS - FileReference Download Error

    I guys,
when I use the Download method of the FileReference class, everything works fine on Desktop and Android, but I get an error on iOS.
    This is the code:
    var req = new URLRequest(url);
    var localRef:FileReference = new FileReference();
    localRef.download(req);
On iOS I'm getting an Alert:
    Download Error
    File downloads not supported.
I already tried to NavigateToUrl() and it asks save the file in Dropbox or another App.
How can I fix this error?
    Thanks!

What are you intending to do with the downloaded file? Will it be used solely by the app, or you attempting to download some othe media (photo, video, music, etc.) to be referenced outside the app.
If you want to do the former I think I can help...
The later, I am not sure how to, or if you can, do.

  • Getting an error message that unable to check for software update when trying to download new iOS 8.0.2 update ?? Can someone help ???

Getting an error message of unable to
check for software update when trying to update to
ios 8.0.2. Can someone help ??

    Howdy there otss1979,
It sounds like you are unable to download the iOS 8.0.2 update either, over the air, or using iTunes. If you are updating the software on your phone in Settings > General > software update I would recommend starting with this article:
Resolve issues with an over-the-air iOS update
If you are using iTunes, I would use this article instead:
Resolve iOS update and restore errors in iTunes
If you are getting a specific error number, the following article will help you get that resolved:
Resolve iOS update and restore errors
If this does not resolve the issue, could you please write the error message you are getting word for word for me?
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the best,

  • Why  "Download Error. Tap to Retry." only Occurs in iOS Podcast app?

    Hi,
I've recently discovered problems downloading my podcast using the 'Podcasts' app in iOS. I consistently get the same error. That is, "Download error. Tap to Retry". The podcast feed I give to iTunes is generated by a WordPress plugged-in named 'podPress'. The feed is good from iTunes software on PCs running Windows, or OSX, across various versions. Instant play works, and subscription downloads work, but it doesn't work in the Podcast app in iOS devices (at least versions 7 and 8.)
The only thing I can imagine is an XML formatting issue, but I don't know where to looks.
    Thanks for any help.
Here is my feed source: http://www.internationalcsi.com/blogs/sccclub/feed/podcast/

I am not sure if this is related, but when I use the 'Feed Validator' linked to from the WordPress plug-in 'podPress', then I get one warning about a self reference. I cannot verify whether this is related to my problem, nor can I figure out how to resolve the warning.
I noticed that two other people have 'ticked' the option "I have this question too." Maybe one of you has tried this, with the same or different results?
Here is a link to the 'Feed Validator' using my feed:
    http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fsccclub.org%2Ffeed%2Fpodcast
...and, before you ask, Yes; that is the absolute path to the link referred to in the warning message, and consequently the reason I can't figure out has to resolve the message.
Try your feeds, and see if you get similar results. Thanks.

  • Podcast Download Error, Tap to retry @ wifi, Ios 8.2, Iphone 5s

    Hi all,
    I'm Iphone 5s user, with IOS 8.2.
No files are able to be downloaded nor played from Podcast with wifi. When I turn on the LTE, and then it starts to download, which is weird. The error message appears under wifi environment, like this, "Download Error. Tap to retry".
So, it seems the PodCast won't let me download anything with wifi, but only with LTE. Is it a problem what others are struggling with? Would there be any solution for this?

I am googling this like mad with no succinct fix or answer. Do you think apple can do something server side to permanently delete these five songs from the download queue. They must be the cause for the phone always asking for my apple id on every restart. Signing in makes them
vanish but as I mentioned if I don't sign in when it prompts me in restart they remain in the queue. It's really annoying. I
hope a future 8.0.1 update may reset this but I can't be certain it will. I am sure erase all settings and restoring backup may eradicate this too but this a long and painful option. I am sure the problem started with a restore anyway as post ios 8 I fid restore from
backup after a sync mess up. The process took forever and I tevkon certain songs got stuck during restore. I wish it didn't try and download them
sll back in at once. I did cancel the restore after a long while as it was quicker to individually download songs at my own leisure. I'd like to avoid trying another restore as it will be a huge data usage and lengthy process just to try and remove this issur

Install the latest version of iTunes.
Check security software. Ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow this article for assistance with security software. iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. • HT5503 Every time I try to download the iOS 6 update on my iPhone 4 it tells me there us an error ????

Every time I try to download the iOS 6 upgrade it just tells me there is an error idk why I've tried almost everything I could think of

    Try these steps:
There was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone (or another iOS device)
See the steps below for error codes 3000-3999.
Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.

  • Network Timeout error message when downloading iPhone iOS software in iTunes

When I try to download iOS 8.0.2 (or even when I tried to download iOS 8), I receive an error message telling me my network connection has timed out.  I even tried troubleshooting by chatting with Apple support.  Nothing they tried worked either. I eventually had to go to my neighbor's house and use her Mac and her wi-fi.  Even that took a couple tries before she stopped receiving that error message too.  I have the most up to date versions of my Mac software and iTunes.  I've restarted the computer, my firewall is turned off, I've tried everything support says to do.  Any suggestions?  My iPhone periodically goes into recovery mode, and I'm afraid that the next time it does, I won't be able to recover it because I won't be able to download the iOS.

Same error (above).... again! I put my iPod into restore mode, but once again, it forces the update.

Something temporarily wrong with your internet connection?
Be aware that this is a very large file to download, it needs a strong consistent internet connection.
Have the iPhone on the charger cable too.
In the meantime read the threads in this forum about the visibility item and some other possible issues on the 4 and 4S (although a large number of people have these issues, it is still a minor percentage, but anyhow, be aware).
