  • Help with Download error in Creative Cloud Student and Teacher Edition

I have been paying for the Creative Cloud Student and teacher editions of the Adobe suite. I have two laptops. The cloud application installed fine in both, but I could not download the apps into my preferred machine, receiving a "Download Error" for my pains. The other laptop, with its small memory size, was not suitable for the programs and has recently crashed and passed on! So now I'm still left with half of my year's commitment to go and have still not been able to benefit from the programs. i have tried every which way to get them on my main computer, taking advice from the net but to no avail. This is all I get:

    Hi Deian,

  • "Download Error" in Creative Cloud App

Help! Creative cloud no longer shows the apps that need to be updated. It just gives me this message "Download Error. Press retry to try again or contact customer support." Every time I click on "Reload Applications," it just gives me the same message. See image below.
This has been happening for a month. I've restarted my mac and uninstalled & reinstalled Creative Cloud, but it didn't fix the issue. Log in info are all correct as well as billing info.

I tried downloading the update in a new Admin account and it WORKED!
For anyone else having the same problem, here is the other stuff that I tried that didn't work:
    - Changing from WiFi to wired internet connection. The wifi is running through an Apple AirPort station, with all the ports that Adobe uses open.
    - I looked up the permissions on my Library and they were set to Read/Write and still I couldn't download the update
    - I'm not running any security software that could be interfering with the download.
    - Deleting and reinstalling the Creative Cloud app didn't help.
When I tried downloading Creative Cloud apps for the first time, it wouldn't work at my office so I had to take the computer offsite. It worked perfectly. I talked to IT support at work and they couldn't find any reason that a network setting was keeping the download from happening here. Still a mystery.
For clarification, I was always able to sync fonts with Typekit through the CC app, just couldn't download PS and AE updates. I still haven't tried file sync with CC.
Thanks for the help Adobe people!

  • "Download Error: The Creative Cloud installation no longer functioning"

Installed update to CC desktop and I cannot access my applications.  I have tried reinstalling several times and still get the same message of a download error.  None of the trouble-shooting suggestions apply.  Please help!

    Many thanks Jeff A Wright.
I solve my problem with the Adobe support. I had to rename AAMUpdater to AAMUpdater_old  and OOBE to OOBE_old. But the thing is that I had to go    \Library\Application Support\Adobe and also to     ~\Library\Application Support\Adobe and I did not know there was a difference between "\ Library \" and  "~ \ Library \", this was being my mistake, the change has to happen in two ways. I think this mistake is happen with many users that are trying to solve the same problem that I had.    \ Library \ and  ~ \ Library \   are different folders. After fix that, I just leave the Creative Cloud CC and sign in again, and WORKED.
I hope that someone with the same problem can understand how I solve this, without suffering so much (I do not write English very well, I'm Brazilian).
    ( I hope someone
    Best regards

Here's a screen shot of the error page on the apps tab. I've uninstalled and installed the manager. I've went to account preferences and logged out and signed back in. I need this fixed.

  • Download error in Creative Cloud app for desktop Windows 8

    Hello everyone.
So i have this in my adobe app.
    What i tried:
    1) stop process of Adobe Creative Cloud in task manager
    2) reboot
    3) change networks to different one , including to internet from mobile phone
    4) install-reinstall
    5) delete C:\Users\****\AppData\Roaming adobe folder
    6) delete C:\Users\****\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE folder
    7) stop every adobe process , delete everything , reboot, install Creative Cloud
Nothing of those helped me, this is a bit* unacceptable.
Can anyone help me? or is there a way to install app in a good old way? with installer? i dont need your special non working app, thank you.

ok i fixed it somehow, i think i installed Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Windows : Adobe Application Manager
and a lot more stuff, then CC app just broke... then when i was totally frustrated it started itself for no reason and vuala, half of the weekend wasted , woohoo, thanks adobe!
