Download error - stopped er -100000
When trying to download a purchase I continually get the message shown in the subject line. Any ideas what to do???
I had the same error on 2 downloads. Nothing was helpful. On every loading attempt there was the error code -100000. At last I tried to stop the firewall for 1 minute (Kaspersky Internet Security 9) and the downloads were successful. I was able to download both missing songs.

Podcast download error - Stopped (err = -3259) and sometimes a 403 error
I've am having some issues downloading a podcast I pay for. The podcast orignailly was automatically downloaded via the providers autodownloading tool. It stopped working.
There was another option to download through iTunes and that isn't working either.
The download starts but times out after a minute or so. The errors are stopped = -3259 or stopped = 403. The 403 error happens less frequently.
I tried restarting the download and that worked for the first couple of podcasts, but has since stopped.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and tried many of the goofier but safe sounding things I have read on message boards. Many of the things I'm reading are from 2007 and 2008 so I think it's not related to this issue.
Not sure if it is related but also having issues viewing streaming video. Seems to stall out after 3-5 minutes.

I have restored registry settings to a date where I know that I was receiving mp3 downloads.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes
I am able to download other files including Itunes. I don't think it's a size issue. Itunes was a 70+MB file. -
Downloaded an album, and one song is giving me download error - stopped -100000. I've tried to restart the download a couple times, but it runs, pretends it's downloading and then gives me the error. The internet doesn't seem to know what error -100000 is. Anyone here know?

I recently purchased a new song. I did this on my MBP, in iTunes, with my iTunes account.
I have a USB hard drive attached which is the "Save To" location for iTunes. I have confirmed that the settings are accurate in preferences.
I am receiving this download error:
stopped (err = -61).
I cannot find any information on that. Something dealing with permissions ... but it doesnt make sense, as the external hdd, attached via USB 2.0 is working "fine", i.e. I am playing music stored on it through iTunes, right now.
Any ideas?!

the trick would be to make sure you give everyone "read & write" access and apply that to +enclosed items+ for your iTunes music folder.
+Quit iTunes.+
+Open a Finder window.+
+Go to \Music\ folder.+
+Right click the \iTunes\ folder and Get info.+
+Go to the Sharing & Permissions tab.+
+Make sure your username has Read & Write privileges.+
Directly below are + and - signs next to a little gear with a down arrow
+Click the gear and select Apply to enclosed items.+
+Open iTunes then try again.+

Purchased ML 3 weeks ago from Apps store, started to download then stopped "an error has occurred" tried numerous times since but no success. The ML icon looks to start but says waiting and so am I. Any guidance appreciated.

Errors while downloading purchases 'stopped (err = -3253)'.
I am hoping someone here can offer some help to this problem I am having.
I have had my Mac for over three years and through out this time I have purchased and downloaded a lot of films and music with absolutly no problem. For over a month now I have been unable to download getting the error 'stopped (err = -3253)'.
I have been intouch with the iTunes store team who say there is no issue there end and have suggested a few things to try but nothing works. They claim there is a problem with my internet connection. However I fail continiously to download any large film (small file like song can download with the odd error) to my mac yet I can download the same to my Iphone, stream to my apple TV without fault. I can also stream internet radio to my mac with iTunes. I can also use all other internet services on any device without issue including my mac. I only downloaded some software (about 6.5GB) a few days ago.
Based on this I feel the fault is with iTunes but cannot find the cause. Steps I have tried include:
1. Complete shutdown of everything in house.
2. Use of Ethernet over WiFi.
3. Creating a new libary.
4. Signing in and out of iTunes Store.
5. Added Mac to DMZ on Router
6. Disabelling Firewall
7. Changing DNS to various others aswell as my ISP's
I am a little lost what I can check from here. I plan to visit a friends to attempt to download on their internet connection to rule mine out completly and will update here how this goes. In the mean time perhaps some of the good people here may have some suggestions.

I already contacted apple senior tech about the error code 3253 . They went through all the trouble shooting they had to find out that my computer was ok. They escalated this to the engineers at iTunes. I finally got an answer from them after they did the trouble shooting and had to send them a file from my computer while iTunes was downloading and error out . Listen carefully. It's not your computer or router or anything. The problem is at iTunes and there right now investigating this problem. So relax and hopefully they fix it soon. I hope this has help you out. :)

I just purchased the hunger games on blu-ray with digital copy. when I try to download the HD digital copy it gets to about 80% compete then stops with a download error (-50). What is that how do I fix?

I purchased a season of a tv show. Most of the episodes worked fine, but three episodes were automatically stopped and a "download error -50" message appeared. It will not restart. Is ther a ifx?
- Sign out of the App Store (in the Store menu)
- Quit the App Store
- In Finder - Go>Go to folder... (or Apple-shift-G)
- Paste in the following "~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore"
- It will take you to a folder. Delete the whole folder and empty the trash.
- Launch the App Store. Do what you have to do. -
i am on my mac and have os x yosemite. i am trying to install adobe premiere elements 10, but every time it starts downloading it stops and says it encounter 8 errors?
you mean when it starts installing (not downloading), you see errors?

My Creative Cloud wont show the Apps, it says download Error contact support. And on the Home Menu on the creative cloud for MAC desktop it just loads and loads and never stops. Help please!!

When I try to download a song or a video on my ipad it starts to download and then before it finishes it stops and says download error. Tap to retry. Any suggestions on how to fix this error and get my items that I purchased to download?

I purchased a full album and as it was downloading it stopped out of nowhere and all the music that was downloading said download error. Tap to retry. So i tapped all of them then it said it couldnt be downloaded at this time. Its been like this for 2 days. Help me!!!

Unfortunately, if there is a firewall in the router, you will need help. I don't think that it's a good idea to try to walk you through it via the forum. You should contact the router supplier and have them walk you through the investigation. -
Pixlemator had less than a minute to finish downloading, then stopped. I go to the purchase page and it says install. When I click on install it says there was an error and tells me to go to purchase page.
Try deleting the cache associated with the App Store.
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store and try re downloading the app.
If that didn't help, open Sysem Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Select: Mac App Store and identified developers
If that area is greyed out, click the padlock icon to make changes. You may be prompted for your admin password.
Then try downloading the app.
